True horror movies died when Alfred Hitchcock closed his eyes for the last time. Now it is all sudden shock and gore. That being said, I will not watch a horror movie ever again in theaters. The last one I saw was an M. Night Shamalan movie called the villiage or something. It was this thing about amish people or something and they lived next to a highway and used a monster to convince people to stay in line or whatever. It was terrible. Wrecked horror movies for me Oh my god, I know what movie you're talking about. I don't think that's quite how it goes, but it is indeed an awful movie.

I haven't really seen a good horror movie in a couple decades the best ones I have seen in the past 20 years is "Mirrors" and Stephen Kings "IT" the new one is just as good as the original

The new IT is not as good, it is not even in the same ball[ark. I was able to watch it at night, thats how I know

I watched both of them at night, it's different than the original but it's good now if you want to talk about stupid movies that claim to be horror movies then let's talk about Paranormal Activity, The Blair Witch Project, and anything by Rob Zombie ( Yes they are decent movies but not scary more comedy)

I agree Family Man. Three kids and a camcorder is not a horror movie. Its a bad porno at best...that was dumb..made a shit ton of money, but dumb

OG IT and new it are both great in thier own ways, but OG is much better, since Tim Curry didn't do an awful clearly-CG'ed dance that becamea meme.. jesus, that was awful. I liked Skaarsgard as Pennywise, but that dance sunk that movie into the crapper for me

nah dude... IT ain't that good or scary. i mean... my little cousin who's like 6 wasn't even scared of it. We need less shitty jump scares and more atmosphere and buildup. and... by decade do you mean 2008-2018 or 2010-2018?

even with the dance the new "IT" is still one of the best horror films of this decade I strongly disagree. Movies such as Strangers: Prey at Night, You're Net, Get out, things like those I'd consider best horror films of the decade. IT is good, but not good to be one of the best.
