Hey guys! We've been having meetings for the last month or so figuring out some of the stuff for Night of Champions 10 and have decided......about as much as you would imagine a whole bunch of voices talking about something have! Yeah! Wait...
Nah, I kid. We've got some of the things down.
But first, we've got a bunch of new feds/members so I should probably run down a little about what Night of Champions is.
It's our "big one." And this will be the 10th time the XHF has held it.
Most of you only know the Network, but the Network came from a fed that I (and a few of the old guard here) ran from 2002-2009ish. The XHF had actually launched with a different owner in July of 2001 (hence why I've put the big show there in the Network era) but was later given to me after it horribly failed. I (as Mongo) went around plying an invasion angle in a few feds till it finally started to stick. The fed it really took off with was the BDDWF, by then I had gained a couple members and we were able to get a full civil war in the fed started with half the roster joining the XHF team. As it turns out, the owner had to leave for irl reasons and they put me in charge for a month and at the first Xtraction the administrators voted to just keep the XHF on top. Aside from the Rumble, Night of Champions is the only real BDDWF show that we continued using- it was their big one and at the time the Rumble winner would go on to main event it (like WWE).
Historically, Night of Champions features all of the titles on the line (hence the name).
BUT....there's a problem. We have a billion feds and not all of them want to get involved in a huge mess like that. That's cool though so no pressure (a little peer pressure).
Therefore we've figured out a system that seems to work and the fed owners who voiced their opinion pretty much got behind doing it again.
On Night of Champions 10 we'll have an X*Crown Championship match (a Tower Match, already on the card), probably an XHF Tag Team Championship match and World championship matches for ALL the feds that have chosen to be part of the festivities. That's a huge card either way.
Aside from that, we'll have what's called the "Week of Gold" in which feds who choose to do so are encouraged to run PPV-feeling shows that spotlight big feuds and probably all the other titles on the line. This would be the week leading up to NoC (or longer now since we have more than 7 feds, lol). Usually what feds do is have the same rp-window for their week of gold matches and the world title match, then just put the world title match on the NoC show instead of the Week of Gold show.
IF YOUR FED WANTS TO DO SOME WEEK OF GOLD STUFF let me know (probably hear at this point since there's no more need for cloak and daggery). We should probably be claiming days for that too- and uh....feds that normally have shows on certain days obviously get dibs on that day.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Our X*Crown multimans have gotten a reputation for being a huge cluster-you-know-what, especially with so many feds. To that end the Network admins have decided that we'll have a mid-month show, the return of the original XHF July PPV Overheated, in order to have elimination matches to whittle down the X*Crown contenders. That means there's like a two week rping window from July first till Overheated and two weeks between Overheated and NoC.
BECAUSE OF THIS: THERE IS A HARD DEADLINE OF JUNE 30TH FOR FEDS TO SUBMIT THEIR X*CROWN CONTENDER. After that your fed will have no representation and no chance to steal the X*Crown until like End of Days or some member-run global show.
So yeah, I think that about covers it. If you have any questions just ask them here. I hope we can go all out for this one, so if you're sitting on a feud you've been wanting to do, now would be the time to do it.
Schedule:
July 14: Overheated (X*Crown Contenders Eliminations, maybe a couple feud matches?)
July 15-20: Golden Road shows, let me know if you wanna put something in here just because it better matches your schedule or the Week of Gold stuff is too full)
July 21-27: The Week of Gold (Fed shows featuring titles on the line and big feuds but no world title match, let me know if you wanna claim a date so we can put it on the schedule)
July 27: SSS' Week of Gold Show
July 28: Night of Champions 10 (X*Crown, World Titles, Tag-Titles[?])
TIME TO GET THAT HYPE TRAIN A-MOVING!
Oh also, we need graphics for at least NoC and Overheated, they can be different people doing them. I'm thinking though maybe if somebody can do NoC and then give the tools they used for the feds to make Week of Gold stuff that'd be dope since they'd have a similar look.
AAAAAANNNNNNND I'd really like somebody to volunteer to handle the Tower Match. It won't be a ton of guys, since we'll probably cut the number in half at Overheated. But it is a crazy match
I think that's all. ROCK ON XHF NETWORK WOOOOOOOOO!
