At a local pub, “God’s Gift” Jeremiah Vastrix sits at the bar while sipping at a tropical drink. He sips at the drink with a smile as he notices the camera.
JEREMIAH VASTRIX: It figures that you might be here. Here I am, relaxing after my hard fought match against Rajiv Khan, and you want to get some words in about my upcoming opponent. Well, that’s fine.
Jeremiah takes a sip of his drink with a winning grin. He’s watched the match where the Space Oddity lost to Fukushima Zombie. He’s analyzed them both during the match in case either of them won the match so that he would be ready. All of Fukushima’s shortcomings were laid before Jeremiah like an open book for him to exploit.
JEREMIAH VASTRIX: Fukushima Zombie. Let me be the first to congratulate you for your victory against the weird Space Oddity. I didn’t know you had it in you to be perfectly honest. I see you snatched the win out from the jaws of defeat and it makes me glad. I would hate to be able to just breeze by into round three. I should have to earn the win.
Jeremiah drains the glass and orders another drink that he gets in short order. He takes a sip of this new drink to see if it is of the same quality as the first. It is. He sets it down with a laugh.
JEREMIAH VASTRIX: I see that you like to fight for causes. You raise money for various charities. I brought with me a case with one million dollars.
The camera view switches to by Jereiah’s feet in search for where such a case may be. Jeremiah reaches out to grab the camera and lift it up to be viewing him once again.
JEREMIAH VASTRIX: The case isn’t with me, would be thief. I have it at a bank and will be giving a secret code to Fukushima at the show to be able to retrieve it so she can send it to her various charities. Jesus, you would think that I was five again and just carrying a few million on me at one time again. It was play money, but still…
Jeremiah’s cybernetic eyes gleam blue as he chuckles, lost in old memories for a moment.
JEREMIAH VASTRIX: This tournament is going to bring me back to favor in UOW. So I can either go for one of their titles or maybe hang on for an X*Crown title shot. That would be a real coup, bringing the X*Crown back to my own dimension.
Jeremiah finishes his drink, pays his tab, and begins to head out.
JEREMIAH VASTRIX: I’m sure we’ll talk again soon.
