Just do it as a tournament with the tag title shot at the end, eh?
It's almost literally what every interested party wants

The only issue is we have PLENTY of teams with the points to challenge they just ... aren't. And it seems odd to give the title shot to a team that realistically will not have had the points at the start and does now and gets to skip the line.
If that's what we want to happen I guess it's ok but then why have the point system if teams aren't going to use it and just wait for tournaments?

Maybe the winning team gets #1 contendership and the chance to challenge next. After all if there is this many teams they will have to fight like, three times? So that will build towards points but this could even be an exception to the rule for a new team too. Contendership makes more sense and is fairer.

Here's the thing though:
If a team that like, say I put together, can beat all the other fucking teams to get to the front of that line...
...what's that say about the other teams in the first place?
____
We're trying to use the points system properly but the minute the belts come out of AWF, it gets incredibly harder to actually book the belts. We have four different teams that could all fight for the belts that are now stuck and bottlenecked to the point where we're floating the idea of making tag titles of our own.
I don't have a strong interest in tag team wrestling, but I see that I think I can write a better team than anyone else, and if these other teams can't beat the rando team that just came together for the event, are they even good enough in the first place?

Like I'm not sure a fun one-off event that we could maybe even do yearly, ala The Scorpion Classic, like a tagteam KOTR -- I'm not sure why we should hold down that idea because other teams aren't using their points. A lot of the reason that other teams weren't using their points was that the RP limits were not existent, that problem has been fixed. The problem now is how do we get these matches actually booked?
I don't think we should take away from something that is going to actively have tag teams/excitement/engagement just because we have a booking problem. If people want to cash in their points that bad, then maybe let them skip the tournament, and take all the other teams and make them either have a mini-tournament or play-in game for the match at the end, is my suggestion.

The other argument is "Hey, tag teams should take care of their own points, and get it booked themselves" -- which, eh? I don't have my singles guys book themselves unless they have a cool rivalry idea. And most of my roster (70%) has never booked a match outside of the company they're on, so why the differing standard?

I had to tag belts for six months so fuck a line. lol. If you didn’t challenge during any of those months fuck a line.

If that's what we want to happen I guess it's ok but then why have the point system if teams aren't going to use it and just wait for tournaments? Wrong -- I messaged Duke on Oct 27 about cashing in the shot Ryan and I have, he said he already had something lined up for Convicted soon. I offered it for any point between now and the Xmas show, any Prestige. I messaged Duke again yesterday about me/Ryan getting our shot and he said the title stuff was all tied up in this tournament now. I have no idea how to go about actually getting my match booked for the titles. I messaged the champ about it twice, but I'm not sure what else to do. Should I be posting publicly? Contacting a network admin? I wanted to choose to cash in and have the match during a Prestige for both storyline purposes and because I want RP limits.

Ok so this tourney is just an idea at this point so nothing is tied up. If you want a shot there's a forum where you post right in this section. If you have the points the champs can't deny your request especially if you're first in line. So if you go post right now about cashing in in the forum request a title shot ... you have a title shot it just comes down to negotiating when and where. And like I said originally when we formed this, it can be a global mini-show where some writer writes the match using King and Hawke and Bonnie.
All tag title matches are RP based and all are judged by the Network admins so I don't know why there's an issue. So go ahead and post your tag title request in the forum and we'll (vastrix and I and if Mongo and Dylan and Randy wants to hellp...) help figure out where and when the match takes place. I'll even write the match.

Like the whole original idea is you get points for having matches, if you're in a fed that doesn't have dedicated tag teams you can request a match here. Once you have 5 points there is nothing stopping you requesting in the tag TITLE match request forum a match. That was the plan from the start, you shouldn't have to message the champs in secret cuz if I was running the tag division and now vastrix is and we had no idea you wanted to cash in that's a problem since we are the judges ...

Oh I'm not angry we're doing this tournament as a way to get more teams to 5 points precisely because nobody was cashing it in save for Kira and Duke. If the issue is people still don't know how this whole thing works we need to solve that problem.

There should be a rankings list that is updated. So whoever is first to challenge is top priority, then the next is added and so on. Easy to maintain and manage, and nobody needs to question who gets the challenge. Not even the champs, which I think with Vastrix in charge now will decide where and when they get defended and not the champions call (I didn't like that idea from the start).

Yeah, it's not a people's issue anymore, it's a "just getting the thing on cards" issue
idk, if you end up running a cool ass KOTR where the winner gets a shot for that show, lemme know
otherwise i'll just poke outta this babe
