Personal Information
Name: Jacob, but most of the internet calls me Kaji
E-Mail Address: Just PM me on the board or find me on Discord.
Wrestler Information
Name: “The Phoenix” Seiji Shimuzu
Height: 6’ 3”
Weight: 230 pounds
Hometown: The Phoenix’s Roost (Kyoto, Japan)
Birthday: November 30th, 1993
Physical Description:
(Be detailed as you can. Describe your wrestler as you picture him in your mind.)
Half-Japanese man (presents as Japanese in crowd of gaijin, but clearly not full blooded when around Japanese people) with brown hair, brown eyes, and fire-themed ring attire. Decently built.
Pic Base:
Kento Miyahara
Wrestler's Ring Attire: Red tights with fire designs, black boots
Wrestler's Backstage Attire: As above, but with a sleeveless trench with shared fire motif
History:
(Be detailed as you can. I.E. - Former Feds, Past Titles, Notable Feuds. In short give us your version of 'It's good to be the King'.)
XWA Lord of the Ring Quarterfinalist 2019
Alignment: Face
Psychological Make-up:
Half-brother of famous, but debatably successful pro wrestler Kaji Fireson, wrestling is in his blood. Think of him sort of like a younger Kaji, but actually Japanese instead of the mere son of a weeb, which means he stands for honor and competition...but not so much that if you cross him, he won’t get down and dirty with you. He will honor those that honor him, and he will fuck up those that don’t.
Entrance Theme: “Storm” -- Yoshida Brothers
Wrestler's Entrance:
(Try to have something more than 'Music starts, pyros explode. Does your wrestler have a pre-match ritual like HHH or the Rock. Write it down, let us know. This really helps breathing life into your wrestler and the matches.)
There is a long intro to "Storm" consisting of chanting, shamisen chords, and at about 0:36, a short percussion solo. The lights dim at the beginning of the song, and The Phoenix comes out and immediately kneels in the center of the stage. For about thirty seconds, he sits in seiza on the stage, eyes closed. He remains in this position, completely still, until the percussion solo ends and the song starts in earnest, when he rises from seiza, shifting to a one-legged kneel to pose as though he's holding a katana horizontally over his head. This lasts only a few seconds before he stands up fully.
Once he's on his way down to the ring, he walks directly to the ring. His focus is wholly on the ring as he walks around to the ring steps, walking up them to get to the apron. He stands there a moment, head bowed, before wiping his boots on the apron and stepping into the ring proper. He then goes to his corner and returns to the kneeling seiza position as he awaits his opponent.
List up to three strengths your character possesses:
1. All Rounder (Not very interesting, but at his size, he can move pretty quick, but he can also do submissions or lifting or diving. He’s much like his half brother in this way.)
2. Endurance (Much like his brother and his tag team partner, he is willing and able to take a mountain of punishment and turn around a seemingly hopeless situation.)
3. TBD
List up to three weaknesses:
(For every strength, you must have at least one weakness.)
1. Inexperience (He can count the number of professional matches he’s had on one hand. Most of them are wins, but still. Long time veterans will be able to direct him where they want him.)
2. Hotheaded (Unlike his tag team partner, he will initiate shenanigans if he feels the opponents have earned his ire...manipulators or dogs much bigger than him are able to draw him out and lure him into a brawl he cannot win.)
3. TBD

When the opponent rushes in he nails a roundhouse over the top rope or maybe a stiff right hand, then flies back into the ring with a springboard crossbody or clothesline or some other flying move.
2. When hitting Meteora, he will do a forward roll, and when he gets his legs under him, he turns and starts stalking the opponent as they stir, aiming for the Phoenix Wings finish.

Other Finishers: (One or two is fine as long as they're situational I.E. - the Undertaker, The Last Ride and the Tombstone for PPVs):
Tobihouou (“Flying Phoenix” -- Phoenix Splash; big match finish)
Ikken Hissatsu (“Killing Strike”, a.k.a. Blazing Kick -- Sweet Chin Music; desperation counter, inherited from brother)
Manager/Valet's Section
Does your wrestler have a manager? Kind of?
If so, what is his/her name? Albion Gale
Describe your manager: She is Seiji’s tag team partner. Albion is a tall-ish blond woman with blue eyes and all of the abs. When managing, if she doesn’t have a match that night, she wears various loose and flowing outfits that let her move freely if she needs to.
Does your manager interfere? Only if the opposition (be it competitor or manager) provokes her into doing so by being blatantly unfair.
If so, how? She plays tit for tat. If opposition plays clean, she lets things go the way they’re going to go. If they play dirty, she matches their efforts up to the direct interference tier. (That is, she will not partake of the seriously heinous actions...at that point, either she’s already caught up in it or she’s calling for EMTs. She has a moral high ground to maintain.)
What's the backstory on the relationship? Albion was managed by Seiji’s half brother for a time. Later, as a coincidence, Seiji joined the same promotion as Albion and the two were drawn together by fate. (A.k.a. Someone beat them both down when they were in the middle of a match, so they joined forces to fight back.)
Tag Team Section
(Note: For Tag Teams, a separate application must be sent in for each member)
Is your wrestler part of a Tag Team? Yes
Tag Team Name: Harbingers of Dawn (or Dawnbringers for short)
Tag Team Finisher: Radiant Dawn
Description of Finisher: Seiji hits the Hoyoku (a.k.a. Phoenix Wings, a.k.a. Christopher Daniels’ Angel’s Wings), and when the opponent flips over, a waiting Albion soars down with Purple Rain (Shooting Star Press)
Specialty Moves:
1. Albion does a kick of some kind (roundhouse, dropkick, or hook kick all viable) to knock the opponent into Seiji who is waiting to do a Dragon Suplex, complete with bridge
2. Albion does a Reverse DDT near their corner, then tags Seiji in; Seiji leapfrogs over the top turnbuckle (or top rope), twisting as he goes to be in position to hit a Slingshot Moonsault to the downed opponent.
3. While Albion has an opponent in a Figure Four Neck Lock, Seiji does the elbow drop/leg lace submission to their “primary” leg for a double submission hold.
(Note: You are allowed to list an additional 3 specialty moves with your Tag Team partner, creating up to 6 possible combination special moves.)
