I always loved the Brood; the entrance, the blood baths, all of it was just really kick ass. Great pick! The Hardy Boyz are what I immediately clung to as a fan when I started watching. I mean, all girls of a certain age crushed on the Hardy Boyz. Oh, and crazy emo Jimmy Jacobs was fantastic. All of the Lacey stuff was just *kisses fingers like an Italian chef* so so good.

Jamison. He was Caffrey before Caffrey. I'm glad I'm old enough to understand how funny this is.

My favorite gimmick actually ended too predictably in real life(Joey Ryan). Otherwise, I deeply love 80s era Macho Man/King if that wasn't super apparent. Sycho Sid will always have a warm place in my heart as a character, as will early NWO Scott Steiner. I really could care less that those guys looked like a lumber yard in the ring.

So this is a weird one, but I've always been an advocate of The Renegade in WCW.
First of all, I didn't watch wrestling as a kid, so I only had the vaguest notion that some guy called 'The Ultimate Warrior' existed. Remember those "wrestler buddies" pillows from the 80s? A friend of mine had a bunch of them, including Warrior, and that was literally every single thing I knew about Warrior.
Second, my first exposure to Renegade was really early on in my wrestling fandom. My folks didn't have cable yet, but I was spending a week at my aunt's house, and ended up watching Monday Nitro, which featured a Renegade Television Title defense. So I thought he was a legit big deal - didn't know the Television Title didn't mean much.
By the time I was able to watch wrestling on my own, Renegade had gotten pretty decent. He had some cool moves - the handspring flying elbow and the pumphandle backbreaker. He'd moved mostly past the Ultimate Warrior thing, and he and Joe Gomez had this Wild West themed tag team that was pretty decent.
I also always liked Steve "Mongo" McMichael. Same deal really - he was one of the Four Horsemen when I started watching, so he never seemed out of place in them to me. Unlike with Renegade I do realize he was a pretty crap wrestler, but I still kinda dug him.

So many good gimmicks gonna be hard to mention or even due them all justice but some of my all time favorite gimmicks, not specifically wrestlers (but in some cases yeah the gimmick is up there as a favorite wrestler too)...
Sting - Didn't matter if it was crow or surfer, Sting was always the man. One of my all time favorites and I've been full out mark status every time he shows his face on AEW since he made his come back
Undertaker - It's the fucking Undertaker...need I say more? Every era of Taker was great by me, he's another guy like Sting to me...everything he touched was gold. I wish he hung them up before that match with Goldberg but the Boneyard Match was a nice way to make up for it.
Godfather - Not one of my favorite wrestlers but the gimmick was absolute money at the time. The music, the look, the "hoes"--offering wrestlers the services in return for a forfeit? Come on, that's classic...and one of the guys who took up the ladies....
Val Venis - Just fucking great as far as a gimmick goes. Obviously put the guy in a bit of a box as far as how serious he could be taken but still as far as gimmicks went it had some great moments (Kaentai???)
Gangrel/The Brood - Always felt they were under rated and happy to see they were already mentioned. Edge/Christian and The Hardy Boyz had their careers catapulted from this group and poor Gangrel got basically nothing out of it other than one of the coolest entrances...ever.
The Fiend - One of the few highlights of the WWE over 2019-2021 in my opinion, also helps I've always been a fan of Bray since the Wyatt Fam. Truly feel as if The Fiend can be this generation's Undertaker that can make appearances for years after Bray is done as a full time wrestler just because of the character. Maybe that's part of the reason Bray thought it up--get that guaranteed money into his late 50s lol
Ted DiBiase - What everyone else said.
Roman Reigns "Tribal Chief" - They finally let him be a heel and its fucking beautiful. Remember how I said The Fiend is one of the few highlights? Yeah, this is definitely one of the others.
"The Franchise" Shane Douglas - Yeah, the guy who uses The Franchise as his pic base loved that character--who woulda thunk it?
Yeah, thats off the top of my head...Imma stop my ramblings now

Jake ‘the Snake’ Roberts is one I am catching myself revisiting a lot. Mostly his promo work, but his in-ring work reminds me of how I picture Jesse. Calculating, enduring, a psychological approach to taking down his opponent. You figure every one of the main eventers of the 90s worked with Jake at some point. For as much of an alcoholic asshole he admits to being, the man knew wrestling.

When I was a kid I liked Power and Glory for some reason. Their story with the Rockers wasn’t bad, and saw this was giving Roma a second chance after the Young Stallions. I didn’t understand he wasn’t a great worker back then, just that he had a good look and could fly.
I wish I appreciated Cactus Jack when he was doing jobs in WCW and beating up his partner after they lost. I hated his look and he has go away heat with me. Looking back, I was too young to understand his brilliance.
Roddy Piper was super protected in WWF when he came over after the Dog Collar match at Starcade. As a manager, you hated that he could back it up and never wrestled. For that time, there couldn’t have been a bigger heel. They let him beat up celebs and box Mr T. Without him, WMania never happens. Hogan against Orndorff and Bob Orton wouldn’t have been the same.

I really liked Billy and Chuck. Like I had already enjoyed Billy Gunn as Mr. Ass (he came off like a mini HHH) but then totally reinvented himself with Chuck Palumbo (who needed it). Later things got weird but the idea of them being like "Man, you look so good, lets tag!" was both hilarious and effective
