NLW Ascendancy VI
Open Fight Night
NLW’s sixth edition of Ascendancy will be a particularly special one, why? Because an old friend from the XHF Network’s past is making a comeback. Open Fight Night, a concept born in AXW, now being brought back by BB Gunn.
What is Open Fight Night?
OFN is an opportunity for you guys to make some matches yourselves, make challenges to anybody on the roster. We’ve done this because the show is due to be on December 26th, which means deadline will be Christmas Eve. We appreciate that some of you may have a busier schedule in real life running up to the holidays, so may not want to be booked. So this saves some hassle in that you control your destiny!
So I can challenge ANYBODY? To ANY sort of match?
Yes, absolutely. There are only two rules to Open Fight Night, if you want to challenge for a title, the champion can choose to say yes or no, they are under no obligation to put the title on the line. The second is both parties must agree on the match stipulation (if any), and who they want to face.
Anything else?
Yes, as it stands there will only be four matches available, as the Junior Heavyweight Title match will be the main event. All matches will be 1 roleplay of 750 words. We are open to more matches if you guys all want to be involved, but we’d like to have some help on the match writing side as well if that’s the case. Mrs Arnold won’t let me get out of wrapping duties for this I’m afraid!
Please use this thread as a challenge and discussion thread, no need to be in character, and let’s be civil! Tis the season and all that (at least...it will be). Obviously, there is an opportunity to enter segments into Ascendancy V that can help build your matches for OFN. We are always happy to help on any of that as well.
We will finalise the card and lock the thread at the same time as the segment deadline for Ascendancy 5 passes, which is Friday 11th December.
Get challenging!
Confirmed matches:
Joe Blow vs Nathan Parker - Drink ‘Er Down match
Adrien Cochrane vs HNDRXX vs Jason Justice - Triple Threat Match
MATCH TBA ON Ascendancy V
One slot available
