The scene opens up someplace.
The camera spins around to show sandbags that lay scattered on the floor. There is a ring in the middle of the place, and a man sitting on one of the top turnbuckles looking down, at the mat. It is Eron Hunter. He keeps looking at the mat. After some instants of silence, a tranquil voice echoes through the place.
“…Creed!
You got to have it, in this business of ours, or you will never amount to much. Twelve people, fighters, warriors, wrestlers. Call them any way you want. Twelve egos, three matches in one night, one victor bathing under the cheers of the fans.
One champion to conquer it all.
Do I have enough faith in my abilities?
I sure do. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be here.
Creed.
A word used to explain faith in a deity!
So, what does it have to do with an Atheist like me…
…It does.
I have faith in a god. That god…
..It´s me!
I am the god of my own life, the deity of my own choices. Just like everyone else is the master of their fate, if you ask me, just like that I am my god. I create my chances and am the sole responsible for my failures.
People say that an atheist is someone who doesn´t believe in anything. But they are wrong! An atheist is someone who doesn´t believe that there is a greater entity, which has created everything and which holds the strings of people´s fates in his hands.
But atheists believe in many things. They believe in science, love, human nature, art, and in life itself. They, just as I do, think a man is the master of his fate and that he holds the strings of his life in his very own hands.
Just like Eron Hunter does.
I am the sole responsible for my fate, of my actions.
Creed!
I have faith. I have faith in myself.
That´s why I am here.
That´s why I will become a champion.”
Eron stops staring at the mat. He stares directly at the camera as the scene fades to black
