Sinclair swept into the room, a slight frown on her face as her coat today a bloody red coat swirls around her. She pauses in the empty room, arching a brow before her arms folded over her chest. A tilt of her head as she saw Donzig sitting in his winged back chair before the battered looking table, a chess board was arrayed before him. And he stared at it from behind his mask, every so often his gloved fingers would drift across the pieces. Twitching restlessly before he would tilt his head, hissing to himself. He didn't glance up at her, but he flicked a hand before he growled. 'Sinclair, what is it?'
'You have been oddly--' Sinclair shrugged, before she said. 'quiet. They are getting ready for a war for those tag team titles, and you're?'
Donzig nodded, and finally moved a piece. He sat the knight aside, and then his fingers steepled before him as he watched the board. Then he rolled his shoulders, and growled in a low voice as his masked face finally glanced at her. 'They are not paying attention to us, Sinclair. They underestimate Freakke and I, they have their own little wars and feuds to entertain them. And that will be their downfall.'
Sinclair nodded, and she rolled her shoulders before she paced back and forth before the table. A hand flicking her hair back, and she paused to glance back at him. Donzig lifted his head, and he waved a hand absently. 'We defeated the Dark Stars, we defeated the self-proclaimed heart of soul of NPW, we defeated former tag team champions, and no one has yet to whisper our names. Because they are too busy planning their revenge on each other, they are too busy settling their own grudges to see the--' Donzig paused, and he slid a rook forward to eliminate another piece. He slid it aside, and he tapped his fingers against his chin. '--scorpion among them. I will not disabuse of them of their ignorance.'
Donzig's witch arched a brow, and she moved again. Pacing back and forth, hands shoved into the pockets of her coat. And she stood before the table again, glancing at the pieces before them. Donzig hissed, and he reached forward before stopping with a slow nod. 'Almost.'
'Who are you playing?' Sinclair asked, a brow lifting in confusion before Donzig looked up at her.
'That doesn't matter, you wouldn't believe me if I told you.' Donzig shrugged, and he sat back slowly. His hands resting on the arms of the chair as he looked up at her again, hissing softly. 'Pretend inferiority and enocurage his arrogance.'
Sinclair nodded, clearly confused before Donzig spoke again. 'Sun Tzu.'
'So your plan is to let them take shots at each other, and then defeat them at the first chance you get?'
'Exactly.' Donzig moved another piece, and then he growled as another piece moved quickly to capture it. And then another piece was slid forward, and that piece was tossed into the pile. And Donzig tapped his fingers against the table, shaking his masked head before he sat back again. 'Besides this is a battle royale, every man for himself. Freakke and I, are not really tag wrestlers are we? So this little match? It favors us, and the longer everyone forgets that? The more it will please me, Sinclair.'
