It was a small formal garden, and the sun was shining on neatly trimmed lawns. Trees and hedges stood nearby, and rows of neatly organized flowers. The stones of the patio and courtyard were well mainted, and polished. And there was a fountain bubbling merrily off to the side. Two figures danced amidst the scene, they were dressed in white fencing gear with masks as they moved back and forth. Their rapiers snapping and dancing, clashing together as they swirled around the courtyard. The weapons flashing and gleaming in the light, and they parried a few strikes before the smaller of the pair lunged forward.
The rapier bent as the tip pressed against the chest, and the larger one stepped back in a low bow. The smaller one laughed, saluting before reaching up to pull off her mask. It was of course, Sinclair Godfrey and she shook back her hair before walking over to a table to reclaim her glass. She sipped at it, nodding before she looked back to her opponent. The man whoever glanced at the door leading into the manor.
Sinclair followed his gaze, and said nothing as the dark form of Donzig swept into the garden. He hissed to himself, his hood drawn up around his mask as he looked around the place silently. He shrugged his shoulders, and jerked his head towards the man who quickly withdrew. He left his rapier laying on the edge of a wall, and Donzig watched him go before he looked towards the Baroness. 'I have to go to Mexico, I may require you in a few days time. We have KGB business to tend to, another place to conquer. A conquest.'
Sinclair nodded, lowering her glass of wine with a shrug. 'Of course, I am just preparing for my match with that upstart Andi Snow.'
Donzig grunted, and he absently lifted the rapier. He slashed it through the air, spinning it lazily before a hand lifted to shove back his hood. He turned to face Sinclair, and he motioned for her to face him. The Baroness arched a brow, and then pulled on her fencing mask before making a quick salute. The two stared at each other for a long moment, and then she lunged forward as Donzig twisted away with a hard parry that sent the rapiers to singing.
Sinclair had forgotten how fast Donzig was.
'I will be taking my special project with me, they require seasoning before we unleash them on the XHF.' Donzig hovered, his rapier at the ready before Sinclair leapt at him again. Her rapier twisted and spun, but Donzig swatted her blow aside before he launched his flurry of offensive. Sinclair had to twist and turn, barely getting her rapier up to push his lunge aside. And she paused, circling slowly as Donzig absently spun the rapier before as he moved to her left.
'Do you think they are ready for that?' she asked, and then was forced to parry a series of quick strikes from her left. Then Donzig moved back to the right, barely pausing to deflect a few stabs of her own. And she panted behind her mask, eyes narrowed. 'You don't wish to risk the element of surprise after all this time do you?'
Donzig sniffed, and he moved forward with a quick series of overhead blows that sent his rapier whistling at her head. She stepped aside, and stabbed at his flank only for his rapier to swing in a hard downward arc to throw her off balance as the blow deflected hers. He pressed his advantage, driving her back towards the fountain with a few wild swings before he drew back again to circle to the right. Sinclair gritted her teeth, as he growled. 'Our enemies press closer, Sinclair. That fucking bear and that insipid Sleestak had taken our SWAT tag team titles, the Bastards threaten us here in NPW.'
A pause.
'And then we have that clown, Freakke! It will not stand, I will teach them to once again fear the KGB! I will show them that we are not all as feeble as Eddie!' Sinclair had came in hard, her rapier stabbing at his flank as he ranted. But despite his size, Donzig twisted away from the blows lazily before his sword snapped out in a shallow arc that nearly caught the Baroness.
She nodded, and her rapier was at the ready as she circled away from the fountain. Forcing him to follow, and she shook her head as she muttered. 'Isabel Rios is still out there, she got lucky in our last title match. Andi Snow is not going to be so lucky.'
Donzig nodded, and then he barreled forward with his shoulder leading the way. Sinclair stumbled to the side, narrowly deflecting a short stab from his rapier. And she used the space to catch her breath as Donzig watched her. Then he tossed the rapier into his other hand, and he saluted before he came in fast.
'Dammit!' Sinclair growled, and she was forced to swing wildly to keep his rapier away. He moved past her, and she was forced to roll across the stone as the sword arced at her back. She came back to her feet, panting as he stared at her with a sniff. 'I will beat her, and I will be the Amazons Champion when I face Rios again!'
A shrug, and Donzig said nothing. He switched hands again, and swung at her side which made her twist as she brought up the rapier to block. But Donzig twisted aside, and then stabbed again to drive the tip into her ribs. Sinclair stumbled, surprised before she bowed slightly before pulling off her mask. Donzig grunted, and he tossed her his rapier as he turned to walk back inside.
