As the lights in the arena flicker, the fans jump to their feet in anticipation. The blaring opening guitars of Slipknot's "Left Behind" begin to blast through the speakers. After a moment, MGK makes his way out from backstage. He makes his way down to the ring, occasionally glancing to his sides at the roaring fans, some who cheer and others who boo. He then gets onto the ring apron, and enters the ring. Dropping down to one knee in the center of the ring, he closes his eyes, as a blue spotlight falls down on him alone, the rest of the arena caught up in darkness. MGK then stands up and and looks out into the crowd and begins to pace the ring as his music stops.
Character Description
In the ring, he's fairly versatile. High-flying, technical, submission, and brawling attributes. Out of the ring, he's a bit of a prick, although he isn't afraid to show respect to those of his peers who can earn it.
Sample Roleplay
"Sometimes I wonder to myself, was any of this worth it? The beatings I've taken, the sacrifices I've made, the things I've done that can never be undone. Was it all worth it, just to prove myself worthy in an industry that I grew up idolizing? The cracked skulls, the broken bones, the shattered relationships. All of it, for what? It was never about the money for me. It wasn't about the fame either; I could think of twenty other ways to become famous, and none of them include trips to the emergency room on a weekly basis. But this is the life I chose, the life I always wanted. So, despite my assumption that all of this was gone, I guess you could say that I've reached a point where I've dug myself in too deep to stop now. Maybe all of this wasn't worth the sacrifices that I made to succeed in professional wrestling, but if I give up now, it will have all been worth even less."
MGK finishes taping up his hands, and tosses the roll of tape to the side, as he rises up from the bench in his locker room.
"Guess it's just about that time, isn't it? Time to prove my worth, even just one more time. Time to prove how hard I am willing to fight for the opportunity to earn the respect of my peers, to live up to the same high standard that I hold everybody else to."
