Night One:
-Steve (Lance) doesn’t go on alert
-Mosler (James) roleblocks and flavor cops Scorps (Todd Snap)
-Bailey (Lorelei) jailkeeps Reck (Misty)
-Robbie (Koga) tracks Mongo (Giovanni)
-Scorps watches Reck (roleblocked)
-Kris (Officer Jenny) cop-checks Robbie (clean)
-Kuroi (Jessie) silences Kris
-Reck babysits Kuroi (roleblocked)
-Donzig (Agatha) elects not to use his lie detector
-No one dead for Bobby (Gary Oak) to pick up the mantle for
-Hype (Mewtwo) kills Robbie
-Mosler kills Robbie
Commentary: Bailey and Reck were among the last to send their stuff in after the two kills on Robbie were submitted, part of me wanted to see one of the protect Robbie just to fuck with everyone and see everyone make it to day two. I wonder how this is going to work with the serial killer picking the same target as the mafia, with Hype now being able to hide in plain sight once more. None of the information seeking roles got anything at all. Mongo was paranoid about a tracker following him and didn’t want to do the kill, and while he ended up dead anyway, Robbie did track Mongo. Also it scares me how much Mongo wrapped around his finger in the E4 neighborhood chat. I told Kris to go ahead and use little Zzz's in her silenced state to try to feign Jigglypuff's existence.
DAY TWO: BOBBY BARRETT (GARY OAK) IS ELIMINATED BY VOTE
Night Two
-Steve alerts
-Mosler roleblocks Hype (learns he’s Mewtwo)
-Bailey jailkeeps Hype (is redirected to Scorps)
-Kuroi redirects Bailey to Scorps
-Kris cops Donzig (clean)
-Scorps watches Bailey (blocked by Jailkeeper)
-Reck babysits Hype
-Donzig verifies if Scorps was really roleblocked N1 (truth)
-Hype kills Reck (blocked by Mosler)
-Mosler kills Caffrey (bulletproof fail)
Commentary: So scum now knows Hype is Mewtwo. What are they gonna do with THAT information? Had Mosler not blocked Hype, Reck’s babysit kill wouldn’t have gone through since Hype is fully immune at night. Donzig kept trying to trick someone to saying they didn't kill Robbie to no avail. Scum knew he was a lie detector but even if they didn't, they had to know what was going on there. Scum wants to use Bailey as a second roleblocker for them. That’s kinda a neat strategy. I was legit worried about town but they fact that they squeaked out of this clean with no deaths, they might be able to get some momentum, even if they don’t have anything useful. If I’m Caffrey, I’m claiming I’m just straight up bulletproof. Reck was also the only one to figure out what freezing meant: jail keeper.
DAY THREE: MONGO (GIOVANNI) IS ELIMINATED BY VOTE
Night Three
-Steve alerts
-Mosler roleblocks Reck (finds out he’s Misty)
-Bailey jailkeeps Kuroi (and saves himself from being redirected)
-Kuroi redirects Bailey to Kris (fails due to being frozen)
-Reck babysits Kuroi (is protected by Bailey should Reck die)
-Kris cops Kuroi (GUILTY)
-Scorps watches Dunne (no one visits)
-Donzig abstains
-Hype kills Donzig
-Mosler kills Scorps
Commentary: I asked Bailey and Steve where their trust level is in that living room before and after Mongo’s flip. Bailey said 4 to 7. Awesome said 5 to 8.5. Everyone left in there is town now, but I’m not gonna tell them that. Bailey did the one thing that stops him from being redirected: freezing Kuroi. I almost misunderstood the scum's message and thought Kuroi was doing the kill but thankfully I was corrected. Donzig tried to find one last lie when I informed him of his death to tell the team, so I had to kick him out of the neighborhood. Is no one gonna visit Lance? Also, scum had Kris pegged as Misty. Now they know Reck is. This will be fun. Watch them think she’s Mew because they’ve totally forgotten about Officer Jenny and Kris clearing Donzig. Ever since they found out about Mewtwo, they've been OBSESSED with finding an apparent second-third-party Mew. Mongo, after the fact, seemed a little off that Bailey didn't redirect and I linked him to the Natural Action Resolution page on what priority certain actions are, with roleblocks being faster than a redirect.
DAY FOUR: KUROI (JESSIE) IS ELIMINATED BY VOTE
Night Four
-Steve doesn’t alert
-Mosler roleblocks Bailey
-Bailey jailkeeps Mosler (is blocked)
-Reck babysits Kris
-Kris cops Dunne (clean)
-Mosler kills Bailey
-Hype kills Bailey
Commentary: I determined pre-game that in the event of a tie between the two roleblockers, I would give the tie to the scum one. Bailey does a good job communicating with Steve before I inform Bailey he’s dying and booted from the E4 chat. He must have had a feeling. Hype almost picked Kris but hoped scum would get her. Granted she was protected so the night would have ended the same.
DAY FIVE: STEVE AWESOME (LANCE) IS ELIMINATED BY VOTE
Night Five
-Mosler roleblocks Reck (Misty)
-Reck babysits Mosler (blocked)
-Kris cops Hype (not part of Team Rocket but something feels off)
-Mosler kills Reck
-Hype kills Reck
Commentary: This could cost evils the game. Had one of them killed Kris, which I think both of them thought the other would do it, town would be over and done with. Mosler thinks this is fine, and that he can get everyone to believe Kris is Mewtwo. If he succeeds, they have the majority and the town is done, likely handing the game to Hype. It's a gamble. I think he's counting on the Dunne vote due to inexperience or the Caffrey vote because of their bromance. Mosler's roleblock did save him from dying, at least. Kris knew immediately what Hype's result meant.
DAY SIX: MOSLER (JAMES) IS ELIMINATED BY VOTE
Night Six
-Kris cops Caffrey (clean)
-Hype kills Dunne
Commentary: Good game, everyone. After a PM from Caffrey at work, I knew where his vote was going. I don't think Dunne was falling for it either.
DAY SEVEN: HYPE (MEWTWO) IS ELIMINATED BY VOTE! THE GAME IS OVER! TOWN WINS!
Overall thoughts:
-I thought Reck played OUTSTANDING, whether you realize this or not. He kept himself alive as a protective role by playing scummily on purpose and was part of the mob on Mongo and Kuroi.
-Bailey did well when he was alive too. His instructions to Awesome were good, even if Awesome couldn't get the town on his side. He did well choosing who to freeze as well.
-The game was hurt by the evils hitting the same target too many times. Hype, in particular, was getting frustrated with the scum not hitting Kris.
-Hype did everything he could and is probably the most successful third-party role I've seen here. He almost won the game. His original fakeclaim was actually Pikachu.
-It felt like the tides shifted a bit when Caff took over for Nausicaa. Nausicaa was just a body and not even a voting on. Caff came in and actually was engaged enough to contribute to the win. Mosler knew this and wanted to see if we could kill off Nausicaa before Caff could be the replacement but... one-shot bulletproof. Caff was basically a vanilla townie the entire time he was in the game.
-I'm so sad my favorite character Lance didn't get to blast someone. I also hated that Gary Oak was killed so early.
-Mosler did hide with the townies well after what happened to Mongo and Kuroi. He does deserve props for that.
-Did you guys really think I was going to put an overpowered role on Ash Ketchum? That was schmuck bait, one hundred percent intentional.
