“Hello again, Las Vegas, and hello once again, UP Wrestling.”
We fade in and Trixie Mars is stood outside of the Sahara Events Center, dressed in street gear as the sun is fading behind her. Rob Arnold lurks in the background in full suit.
“I have to say that was a lot of fun, you guys really seemed to dig me, and hell, I dig ya’ back! You were so sweet and got behind me even though I’ve only been here two short breaths!”
Trixie smiles warmly.
“And I gotta’ be honest with you, I know I told you all how confident I was about going up against Bubba, but new digs, new fans, there were some butterflies when that bell rung, but I soon got over them and got to business. And boy oh boy, business got done, didn’t it? He had a few things to say before the match but that was certainly a case of all bark and no bite.”
She winks.
“But don’t get me wrong, I’m under no illusion that Bubba isn’t the best on what’s to offer here, I’m under no misconceptions that the fights will get bigger, they will get harder, and that starts this week against Isabella Von Krauss, Jack Ruby and David Berg. Not just that, but the winner will be the number one contender for the Sin City Championship, a championship that is defended under different rules every week, it could be a cage match, it could be a boxing match, it could even be champions choice. That’s intense, but luckily, so am I!”
Arnold walks forward now and takes over.
“In her debut, Trixie gave the world just a taste of what she can do. This week I sense we’re going to see so much more, she’s got to navigate three opponents, and there’s an additional motivator of a title opportunity. First, there’s Jack Ruby, one of a million and one cowboys in this world. Jack, everything about you makes me think you need to go home, focus on the farm, do some real good in this world. Just because you can do something, in this case, wrestle, doesn’t mean you should. I would hedge a serious bet that you’re far, far superior at farming crops and raising cattle than you are at this game, Trixie Mars is going to make this very, very apparent to you at Free For All.”
Rob is pacing back and forth in a horizontal behind Mars.
“Then there’s Isabella Von Krauss. Rich bitch that has taken the Von Krauss name because…”
Rob pauses and stops still.
“Uh…”
Still thinking.
“Because she could? Because she thought it would be a better idea?”
He shakes his head before returning to pacing.
“The thing I don’t understand about you, Isabella, is that you clearly have means and money, you could change your name to anything, you could be anybody or anything you like, and yet you take the Von Krauss name? Perennial under achievers and two individuals that aren’t exactly known for being company you’d like to keep.” He smirks. “But Rob, you’re not exactly one to talk! I know, I know, I’m Rob Arnold, I’m the guy that broke a guys arm because I had a temper tantrum, I’m the guy who turned on AXW at Xtraction mid match because they wouldn’t name me captain. But what can I say? I did warn them I didn’t like the guy and that I didn’t want to be in that match if I wasn’t going to be leading, so that was all sort of on them.”
Arnold laughs.
“Truth is, what you see is what you get with me, and I’m here in UPW to bring a top tier talent and develop the next generation, I’m here to make sure this business has a future, and that future is Trixie Mars. The future is certainly not the last opponent we face, David Berg. David Berg, the seemingly self-loathing, overly stereotypical Jew not seen since Jacob Jacobowitz was here on the XHF Network. David, are you sure you’re really up for this? You lose a match and act like the world is coming down upon you, like you are a failure to you and your ancestors and your people, then after a you find some buddies and get a little schvitz on, suddenly you feel like you’re the dog’s bollocks again? But that’s not a good look on you either my man, because you just become some sort of cliché eighties mid-tier bully. You even went so far as to call Trixie a stripper.”
“Excuse me?! He said what?” Apparently Miss Mars was not away and spins around to face Arnold.
“Oh yeah, he did Trix, but come on, you’ve seen the guy, I think with comments like that he’s clearly got some issues, you have to wonder if a bit too much got cut off as the ‘cision.”
He smirks, and this seems to chill Mars out to the point where a smile creeps over her face and she faces the camera once more, but not before mouthing the words “snip snip” and making a scissor action with her fingers. Arnold paces back and finally stops to stand just off of Mars and places a hand on her shoulder.
“All three of you seem to be here in spite of yourselves. We want to be here, we want to graft, work, give the blood, sweat and tears that are required to be the best in this business. That’s why Trixie Mars is the future, that’s why at Free for All she will become the number one contender to Pixilious’s Sin City Championship.”
Arnold walks away and towards the building, leaving Mars to sign off.
“Isabella, David, Jack, I have just a simple bit of advice for all of you, between now and Free for All, grow some eyes in the back of your head, maybe grow some on the top of your head too for good measure, because I am going to be everywhere, and you’re never gonna’ see me coming. The Emerald Underdog’s coming, and she’s gonna’ make one hell of a mess of all three of you!”
Trixie winks once more, turns, and follows Arnold towards the building, and we fade out.
