Daeriq Damien
Height: 6'6"
Weight: 260something when an active wrestler, so probably 220-230ish now
Alignment: We're going to go with "Face-adjacent"
Hometown: Minneapolis, MN
Entrance Music: "2000 Years of Human Error" - Godhead
Description: Shoulder length black/dark brown curly hair, swept back, prominent widow's peak, worn in a loose ponytail and generally looks less greasy than it did before. He still wears the leisure suit jackets, but mostly because he's oddly insecure about the gigantic brace on his right arm and he can hide it under the jacket. Instead of wearing the whole leisure suit look he'll generally combine a jacket of a gaudy color - seafoam green, pink, lavender, etc - with a black shirt and black pants. And don't forget the lounge shades. In the immortal words of Andrew Fulton, "he looks like the kind of guy who could find the absolute best price on a used bridge."
Speech Color: 19e6de
Style: Damien doesn't get involved physically. EVER. He has a severely injured arm (see below) and prefers to keep it out of harms way.
Outlook: With Ronnie Long gone, Damien has begun managing The Brothers Gluck again, as much because he doesn't have much of anything else going on as for any other reason.
Background: Daeriq Damien was Ronnie Long's mentor in the early 2000s, and wrestled in various promotions run by Jeff Andrews. In 2008 he suffered a catastrophic injury to his right arm during a freak accident in the gym - he was doing heavy bench press when his elbow joint tore. He very nearly lost the arm entirely, and his wrestling career came to a permanent and immediate end. After sitting out the time when that circle was affiliated with DEFIANCE, he randomly showed up in NPW trying to egg Long into turning back into the monster he was in the very early days of his career.
He got his foot in the door by becoming the manager of Kirsty McKinney, a female wrestler who'd been managed by Jeff Andrews until he abruptly left the business to deal with real life stuff. However, NPW's Women's Division collapsed soon after she joined the roster, so Damien didn't end up doing much with McKinney, and instead devoted almost all his time to messing with Long. He finally got his foot in the door during the transition from NPW to W:UK, and he tried to build a heel stable called The Foundation with Long, McKinney and The Brothers Gluck. However, the Glucks quickly backstabbed him, while Long suffered a broken forearm at Rob Riot's hands, sending Damien back to the drawing board.
Long left W:UK and Damien started managing the Brothers Gluck again. Did they really backstab him? Or was the whole thing a setup to battle the High Roller's Club that didn't pan out? None of the above are telling.
Damien manages the Glucks with a much lighter touch than he managed Long and generally doesn't accompany them to the ring.
Allies: On screen, The Brothers Gluck. Behind the scenes, he's a part of Jeff Andrews' inner circle.
