'I am the scourge of God, appointed to chastise you, since no one knows the remedy for your iniquity except me. You are wicked, but I am more wicked than you, so be silent!'
Inside what appears to a simple chapel, Donzig sits in the front pew with a frown as he stares at the crucifix on the wall. He frowns, a hand lifting to rake his fingers through his beard before he rose to his feet. He scowled, rolling his shoulders as he started to pace back and forth. And his hand slid across the altar, and he glanced up before he frowned.
'So tonight, my enemies gathered around me in Halifax! And they all lined up and they took their shots didn't they! And that includes you, Dominicus! Don't think I forgot about you and your fucking Dominicruiser! Don't think I forgot my dear friend the DARK LORD leaving me high and dry to my enemies! Didn't they! And yes, I know you wanted me to be left standing alone didn't you, Armand! I get that, but here's the thing. Here is the thing all of you need to remember--'
Donzig turned, and his eyes narrowed.
'I'm still standing.'
Donzig lifted a hand, and it slowly curled into a fist.
'I turn my back for one minute and all of you come running out of the woodwork, eh? All of you! Like a pack of jackals! One minute I am holding court, and the next thing I know? Clowns everywhere! Not you, Dominicus!'
A pause.
'And then we have Armand. Well, Armand, I am not a hard man to find. And I will see you in Boston, and you can explain why you thought it was to attack my Children. You wanted my attention, Old Friend? Well, I am a man who grants wishes.'
A frown, and his hand lifted to drag across his mouth.
'Osland. Jay. Dusty fucking Griffiths! LVZ.' Donzig stared, and he lifted a hand before it dropped back to the altar. 'I am not sure who or what dragged you four out of the dark, but--'
The Scourge hissed, and he turned back to the altar.
'I will find out, and if I have to tear the information out of what is left of you after I get my hands on you? Well, I know the four of you are not the normal degenerates and buffoons who lurk around the XHF, so you all know exactly EXACTLY what I am capable of. You see just like Armand, you know what it means to defy the Great Dark and you did it anyway! And I am going to know who your puppetmaster is, I promise you that.'
A sneer, and Donzig turned.
'And when I do? I am going to choke him with his own fucking strings! Just like I am going to choke Armand with my bare fucking hands!'
Donzig stared, his hands lifting slowly as he looked at them before he licked his lips with a shake of his head.
'Let me remind all of you, all of you, of one thing you seem to have forgotten? A normal man would break, a normal man would lay down and die, a lesser creature would look around at the lot of you and be confounded! He would stand over his people and say what I have done! BUT! I am no normal man, I am not some fucking mortal to cry and whine among the ashes! I am as a GOD! I am Death in High Places! And I will have my pound of flesh for this night, I promise you all that!'
Donzig started from the chapel, pausing to pick up his mask from the pew. He stared down at it, his fingers stroking across the gleaming metal of it's surface before he shrugged. Then he slowly pulled it down across his face, hissing before he drew up his hood as he walked for the door.
'You all called down the thunder? Now you've got it.'
