The scene opens up inside “The High Roller” Wesley Crane’s decked out locker room, but things are different. The lights are dim. Wesley is sitting in his Italian leather chair with a drink in his hand. It’s hard to see his face but what you can see is that he’s not happy. The door opens and in walks Henderson.
Henderson: “Sir…”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Get out.”
Henderson: “Okay, but you have a visitor. It’s Miss Moss. She was hoping to see you.”
Wesley pounds his drink.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Hand me that bottle of Whiskey, will ya?”
Henderson does as he’s told and hands Wesley his bottle of booze. (God I love the word Booze.)
Henderson: “Should I send her away, sir?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “No, you can send her in.”
Henderson: “Yes, sir. I’ll be right outside the door if you need anything else.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Okay.”
Henderson walks to the door and opens it. He steps out and in walks Katie Moss. She walks in slowly and steps behind Wesley’s chair. She reaches her hand out and rubs his shoulder.
Katie Moss: “Are you okay?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Been better.”
Katie Moss: “That was a tough loss tonight, how are you feeling?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “How do you think I’m feeling, Katie? I’m fucking pissed.”
Katie Moss: “Where is Marty Donovan?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “He had a plane to catch. He left.”
Katie Moss: “How’s he feeling?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “How do you think he’s feeling, Katie? He’s pissed off too.”
Katie Moss: “Why are you guys so pissed off?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Why do you think? Since arriving in WUK I’m yet to be pinned. I’ve been undefeated in singles competition. Tag team records however, have not been so good. When we faced The Glucks we lost because of an accident. I accidently hit Marty in the face with an In The Face and knocked him out. That was my fault. I own that. Tonight was different. Something was different and I don’t like it.”
Katie Moss: “What was different?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Well, to start, Frank Windsor must be juicing up because nobody in their right mind is that unstoppable. Also, for being the WUK World Champion, William sure looked weak.”
Katie Moss: “Isn’t that a good thing for you?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “We still lost.”
Katie Moss: “But you just said that Billy Fowler looked weak. That’s a good thing, Wesley.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Yeah, it’s a good thing. It shows that he’s beatable… and it shows he’s weak, just like I said he was.”
Katie Moss: “How do you see this next match at the PPV going? Sean Bean made his presence felt in this match. Do you think he will be a problem in your PPV match?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Marty will be in house, just in case I need him. If Sean Bean tries something, I know Marty will have my back.”
Katie Moss: “You’re lucky to have a tag team partner like him.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Whoa, hold up. First things first, we are not an official tag team. Second, he’s my best fucking friend. Understand?”
Katie looks taken back a bit. She can tell Wesley is agitated.
Katie Moss: “What about your future Hardkore World World Championship match that you have with Marty? How are you feeling about facing your best friend in that match?”
Wesley takes a sip from his whiskey bottle.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Since when are you an interviewer for Hardkore World?”
Katie Moss: “Uh, I’m not.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Then let’s keep the questions to WUK related topics, got it?”
Katie Moss: “Um, sure. Look, I just came in here to check on you.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Oh really? It sure sounded like you were here for an interview.”
Katie Moss: “Wesley, that’s not how I am. You know that.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Thanks for stopping in. I’m going to have to ask you to leave now.”
Katie looks shocked.
Katie Moss: “Well then, okay.”
She gets up and walks to the door.
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Please send Henderson back in.”
Katie Moss: (Agitated) “Sure thing.”
Katie leaves. A few moments later, Henderson comes back in.
Henderson: “Sir?”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Did you get their number for me?”
Henderson: “I did.”
“The High Roller” Wesley Crane: “Perfect. Thank you, Henderson. That’s all I needed.”
Henderson: “You’re welcome, sir.”
The scene ends as Henderson is walking out of the locker room.
