We open on the outside of the GUNS Arena training center. It’s a nice day in Atlanta as the young Junior Heavyweight Champion El Rey walks into view. He looks around, probably making sure the Off Brand RoboCop isn’t going to stop him from entering. Once he’s sure he’s not going to be detained by GUNS security he enters and we follow him in. Once inside we see BEEF in the ring while outside we see Magnus directing traffic sending in trainee after trainee only to be launched out by the powerhouse. Magnus turns his head and sees El Rey walking in and screams.
Magnus: HOLD IT!
On his que the trainees stop moving into the ring happily and regroup away from the ring.
Magnus: So glad you came El.
El Rey: Well your text did say 911 emergency, but I don’t see an emergency here.
Magnus: It is an emergency. I need your help.
El Rey: You sure? The big man seems to be doing fine and I’ve got other things to worry about.
Magnus: What the Junior match? You’ve got that in the bag kid.
El Rey: Actually, I’m training with Zo…zombies to get myself to the next level in these multi man matches.
Magnus: Zombies? That’s weird man. Just help us out a little here. BEEF could really benefit from your experience last year. You nearly won it without even wanting to compete.
El Rey: What could I help him with? Dude is the size of a mountain and can throw just about anyone in the field. I’d have to eat fast food every meal for a week just to break 200 pounds, what can I possibly help with.
BEEF: He’s right. Little man can’t help BEEF.
Magnus: Ignore him. He doesn’t understand. Being the size he is makes him a target. He’s going to need to learn how to avoid other people like you did last year.
El Rey: It’s not that hard. I just slide out and hid when I felt in danger.
Magnus: Look at him. He’s too big to just do that. I need you hear man!
El Rey pauses to try and think up an excuse why he can’t help, but he takes too long and has to agree to help and we cut.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but…
BEEF is going to be hard to toss out. Now that Magnus has forced me to come in and help train him on how to avoid, the man could be impossible to toss.
The man is seriously the whole package. If I was built like a house like him, I never would’ve lost the X*Crown.
There is an issue, though.
Magnus hates Zoran.
Zoran hates Magnus.
Both of them think I’m helping them. Well, Zoran thinks he’s training me, but still. How am I going to keep up this charade for a month?
I might need to find help to help me figure out how to keep them both in the dark about the other.
Anyway, BEEF is going to be unstoppable.
Don’t believe me? How is Dylan Black going to toss out BEEF?
How is Zoran, with one arm, going to toss out BEEF?
Awesome? Cross? Dominicus? Even combined the they are all going to struggle to throw the big man out. With me training him how to avoid them from teaming up on him is only going to make it harder.
So here’s the question, where’s the BEEF?
I don’t know what that means. My dad told me to make that joke…
We open on El Rey as he runs the hills in Piedmont Park of Atlanta. He has a band around his waist, and attached to that band is a rubber band pulling a cart with Zoran riding in it. El Rey pulls Zoran up a hill as Zoran scolds him.
Zoran: You were late for zee training. I need you to tell me zee reason with excuses.
El Rey: I…humph…had…humph…family…humph…priorities.
Zoran: According to zee tracker I placed on your phone you were not at zee Venom residence.
El Rey: No…humph…I…humph…was…humph…at…humph…the…humph…arena.
Zoran: I knew zat was were you were. I just wanted to see if you lie to me.
El Rey: Why…humph…would…humph…I…humph…lie?
Zoran: I don’t know. Are you going to tell me what zee issue was?
El Rey: No…humph…It…humph…was…humph…personal.
Zoran: Fine. I accept zee reason. Now double time.
Zoran cracks a literal whip at El Rey as we fade.
Magnus: HOLD IT!
