Since I don't have OOC forums, I'm just going to use this space to clarify exactly what it is that I am doing right now for a few reasons. One is for anyone on the boards who might be interested in joining but are super confused why I have people on roster but no apps. Also, so nobody feels threatened or that I'm trying to take away their thunder. I didn't start this to really compete with anybody or what not, though if other promotions want to have IC rivalry that is perfectly fine with me. However, just know that as of right now, it might just be me handling all of the characters currently.
And that is the crux of this note, just explain some things that maybe I haven't clarified yet. You'll notice that there people on the roster with no apps up yet AND if you have access to the cards section, I have four cards up already. The reason for this is that I am running off the assumption that this is a "different" idea in both the content and the execution, and people will need to see all of this in action before they join. Thus, I am doing the first set of tapings and Mega-show with the idea that it is going to be just me handling here during this time. Also, it is a way to properly simulate how the fed works for those that might be curious, but maybe want to see it in action before they sign on the dotted line. Because, let's face it, an angle fed with no deadlines sounds weird and will probably need some evidence that it can work.
With that said, filling out applications is boring. So instead of filling out a whole bunch of applications FIRST and then begin on segments on matches, I'm reversing the process. I'm typically writing matches and even some segments first and filling out apps as I go ...which is why you'll see some wrestlers on the roster WAY before their goes up. It is because I'm doing the results, the roster gfx, and the applications all at once, with less focus on the apps. And yes, these are all my characters for right now.
I chose not to work with a deadline because I run hot and cold with e-fedding and there are going to be times where I am just too busy to work on results or just am not there mentally. This gives me a bit of leeway to take short breaks if I need to. I'm starting school soon and would love to have to gradually work on over time rather than something that is going to have a hard deadline that I can't keep up with. This was created with the idea that others with the same schedule could benefit from this system as well.
I chose XHF to do this project because A) not a big fan of the e-fed twitter community and B) it has a build in use base that might be more open to new ideas. I figured even if the members don't want to eventually join, I'll at least I have a better chance of one or two people reading the results I write more than I would if I set up my own boards and independent company. It also gives me a pseudo storyline to work off of. Because this is more about me writing creatively than making my characters the GRAND POOP of the fed and so having an e-fed community that can read it and maybe give feedback from time to time even if they aren't interested in handling there. I have a better chance of that happening here than going off on my own.
With that said, the door is open to anybody who wants to join. I'm early in the writing process and can totally alter and add things ...even if it is just a segment to hype up your character. There is going to be planned membership push after the first mega-show because by then I'll have the actual process down pat. Right now I'm working out the kinks. So, right now I AM working under the assumption that people want to seem some results before committing so I am, again, playing with myself right now (Master Roshi laugh). But the door will always be open for non-me handlers.
