Hey guys, Mongo here to yell and throw things; and by that I mean shower you with compliments!
HOLY CRAP DID YOU SEE THIS LAST WEEK!? SSS got their first show up (and it was great), the End of Days Finals went up the next night (AND IT WAS BALLS-OUT FANTASTIC), then on Monday we had TWO SHOWS: XHF:AU's first show (Wonderful and a lot of fun) and TGK's Hardcore Hell (another masterpiece), and then as we are rounding out the week, FWA has put up their first show (and it's really a fun and exciting time)!
I don't think words can properly express how proud I am of all of you; members, rpers, writers, graphic guys, admins, and owners. You all went all out to cap off a really fun month of fedding. October went better than I could have ever expected and that's not on me- I'm lazy garbage who just coordinates and delegates- that's on all of you for having fun and letting your fun bleed into other people's fun. It was like a big fun orgy- but without sex, so like a fun party- though most parties are usually fun, unless you decide to drink mixed drinks instead of beer during a game of beer pong and your alcoholic tenancies and general over-inflated ego causes you to mix said drinks 50/50 so you spend a good portion of the night half dead in your friend's bathtub while the cute girl you were trying to get liquored up asks you to not die. I mean, it wasn't a terrible night, but it certainly didn't go as planned. Anyway, October was more fun than that.
I don't think it's been said officially yet but early into October, the fed ICW closed its doors and pretty much everyone from there (except the owner) came over here- also Chaos, but I think he's waiting for AWF to let him in. And the guys who had already quit there but were pretty cool, they had already quit so they didn't know people came here. And while it certainly sucks for a fed to die I'd be lying if I said that we didn't gain from their loss- because we did, a lot. The ICW crew were cool from the start and they continue to be cool. Aside from the ICW guys, we also had a lot of new folk suddenly show up; which is awesome in its own right. And all these new people have thus far been totes cool, and as you know we totes love totes cool people.
Ok, I didn't push for this next thing during EoD because we were all slammed trying to make that work and be the hilarious success that it became (again dudes, SO PROUD). But Jackson Steele brought up a really awesome idea of marking our show cards with events so that we can utilize the calendar feature at the top of the board to keep track of when all the shows are. This is a great idea and I hope all the fed-heads start utilizing it ASAP. Steele made a sweet tutorial for it that you can read here. So do that and help us keep track of the chaos a bit more.
Alright, now to make some clarifications on stuff people keep asking about or are too ashamed to ask even though they're confused.
1. The X*Crown is a global title that follows its current holder; as it stands though, Kanyon is still in AWF. Therefore the X*Crown is as well. However, Kanyon could jump feds if he wanted to and the X*Crown would follow him. No matter where the X*Crown is, it is under a 30-day defense rule; which is inconvenient for bi-weekly feds, but I like frequent title defenses anyway.
2. The next XHF Network-sponsored global event will be in January. Unlike End of Days, this will not be a tournament, just a huge PPV. I really want every fed to participate this next time. We'll have matches mostly from within the feds (so think of it as combining everyone's ppvs together), some inter-fed matches (if you want), and a big multi-man X*Crown Match.
3. Having said that, there are already some non-Network-sponsored interfed events coming up! FWA and XHF:AU will be hosting an Xtraction event eventually and SSS has invited other fed participation at their December PPV. Other feds are welcome to do interfed stuff or come up with various partnerships; just keep me in the know so I can help facilitate it, lol.
4. The XHF European Championship is not a global title, it has been brought back specifically for XHF:AU; as the fed is running as a European wing of XHF (somewhat). So if you want to have a go at it, you'll have to join that fed.
5. There's a lot of talk about the XHF Tag-Team Championships. If you want them to come back, then the burden of work is on YOU. I will only reactivate the belts if two conditions are met:
-(a) We have 4-5 solid feds.
-(b) Within those feds some clear tag teams are formed and gear up for a potential division
The XHF Tag-Team Championships would be very similar to the X*Crown in that they'd follow the holders. HOWEVER, I'd like to make one additional note: the XHF Tag-Team Champions would become a global team, meaning they could appear on other shows if they wanted to (pending they defend the tag belts on said other shows). If it becomes a logistic nightmare though, we'll rescind that last part, lol.
5 1/2. To that end, we may want to come up with a centralized roster listing that links each person to their applications in their respective feds. But we'll cross that bridge when we get there; maybe it'd be tag-specific.
6. For those who are unaware, the XHF Network is an actual company in-world. It's owned by Mongo the Destroyer and is sort of like the NWA was back in the day. Consider it the ruling body of everything as well as the facilitator. It has its own cable channel that runs programming 24/7 (The XHF Network) as well as a growing on-demand library. That means that all the feds in the XHF Network are in the same universe. Oh and we acknowledge real life feds too because XHF was on top anyway in our universe.
7. You can be in as many feds as you want, but you can only have one fed per character. Having said that, you're characters are allowed to jump ship and go to another fed.
8. All decisions in a fed are made by said fed's admins- not the Network Admins.
9. You are allowed to fail and mess up, lol. It happens and nobody will shun you. We're an open crew and if you're having trouble reach out to people- and if you can help, do. We're all in it together now.
10. Anyone holding a dead fed's World Title is holding a golden ticket to the X*Crown. That is to say, you can merge the championship with the X*Crown to get a free title shot. If you're not in the X*Crown's current fed then we might have to make a special exhibition show or something, we'll figure it out.
11. The End of Days winner won a title shot at any title in their home fed. So congrats Steele- you hold a ticket to....your title? Or any other title at AWF at the time of you cashing that in.
Now onto other business. With the new month ahead of us, I highly recommend that every fed not named AWF try to get some more advertising in. Try new ways of advertising and reach out to new folks. If you know of a fed on the rocks, let the owner know that there's a place with a bit more of a safety net (here).
Oh! And if you have owned a fed in the past or know a dead fed's owner; the Network is accepting more fed's show archives. The only note I'd make is that I'd prefer if the shows are pre-formatted because I'm already up to my nose in old XHF stuff that needs heavy editing, lol.
I think that's everything, if you have any other questions feel free to drop them here.
Stay cool guys,
-Mongo the Destroyer
