As the title of the thread suggests, let's talk about some RPG's.

I do like open-world RPG's specially the ones with several outcomes based on your decisions. But my knowledge about them isn't the greatest.
I do love Elder Scrolls series mostly Skyrim with several mods to enhance realism.
In the last couple of days I've also been playing Fallout: New Vegas with several mods for realism aswell and I've been loving the experience. I usually play on the higher difficulty and do DIE IS DEAD gameplays. My first character died at level 3/4, he was a good guy. Trying to do the good actions like helping people, save the wasteland, bla bla bla. After defending a dude from the powder gangers I set up my quest to reach another city. But along the way I met like 6 Powder Gangers (not sure how many) who hated me for defending that dude. Despite of all my best efforts even throwing some dynamite at them I died to the last one. I had the possibility to sneak past them or sneak my way out, but yeah, that was some intense fighting! The fight lasted for 5 minutes and I did love the mechanics of a fight. I will probably create another character, still not sure which personality and which fight style will I have.
Do you guys know more games like this? Or other games that you really liked? Share it with me!

Now, are you talking about REAL roleplaying games or video games? There is a difference, I love the REAL ones like Dungeons and Dragons but not the versions on the computer or game consoles. I want the ones where you and a bunch of buddies sit around the table and tell a great story rolling dice writing down your stats and weapons, magic spells and so on. That is a roleplaying game, not a video game. So what are we talking about? lol

Video games, Duke.
Never tried those Roleplaying games like D&D. I find them too complex and never understood how do they really work. But I'm certain I would love such games if I was taught to play them at least.

Instead of having the Admin post a card and waiting for him to post results and you and your opponents to roleplay. In D&D the admin would tell a story as everyone is there and during it, he would allow you and the others too (roleplay) tell everyone what your character is doing with the help of the dice and the admin. That's the short version of it, it's addicting and extremely fun.

i like rpgs for the most part. I guess i like J-RPGs the most, haha. Final Fantasy series was always fun and interesting to me. i really like 7. Chrono Trigger is very good and awesome too, i just never had the patience or knowledge to get far into it,lol. Nier Automata has been fun so far too, even if i still need to beat and play it. I like games with interesting characters and stories as well as a nice sound track.

I know about their existence but never really played them. I'm now searching the web to try and understand more about them.

Do you guys know more games like this? Or other games that you really liked? Share it with me! While not as detailed or customizable Fallout 4 is pretty solid if you loved the New Vegas style. And Fallout 3 is very similar too. If you have access to PC try Wastelanders or Pillars of Eternity, kinda more strategy games like Baldurs Gate or Diablo but very fun games. I'm told RDR2 is super fun as an RPG too, lots of choices and elements making the game seem random.

Fallout 4 looks amazing and would love to play it but on my pc is kinda hard to.

I'm a big fan of the Pokemon series. But I like some tactical rpgs too. Like FF:T or Pokemon Conquest (ok, so I really like Pokemon). Dragon Quest (Monsters) stuff is cool too. I was HUGE into FF7- I put years into that game. RPGs are great

I was HUGE into FF7- I put years into that game. RPGs are great I've played loads of Pokemon when I was younger. Nowadays I find the game to easy to beat but I like to try to "Catch 'em all!" or at least the ones available in-game.

I side with Duke here..Big fan of tabletop RPGs myself, having played pathfinder for a few years.
VL, if you want to try it out, D&D 5e is super simple compared to the more complex systems and is worth a look. Having a few friends round the table with pizza and beer is the way.

This is a bit off-topic but I'm looking into it. Found a Vin Diesel video playing D&D, the Game Master is very good though.
And found a roll20 site to play online.
