Sorry if I sound stupid but is it possible to improve one's stats? If so how? Just wondering since at some point needs to know how to work a good match without the help of Hype, Dutch or Nathan XD

Well probably at the end of the year, there will be some awards that might award your character some stats. Otherwise, they improve over time with the workers you face in-game, it's dynamic. If you face very good technical workers you will improve your technical skills. Very good brawlers you tend to improve in brawling and so on. The TEW game has that implemented.
