It was a cold night that night. It was many cold and lonely nights before that one too, but there was something different about this night. Despite it being so cold she decided to stay out. She wanted to look at the stars one final time before she left. The stars were always close to her ever since she was little though, her and her parents would watch them before he left. That warm feeling she felt back then resonated with her even now, some 15 or so years later.
This one star in particular seemed awfully bright. And big. Oh how big it was. Almost as if it was coming closer and closer. She'd begin to wonder why it was getting bigger and bigger, but by the time she realized it wasn't what it seemed, it was too late. A bright light shone in her face, blinding her. It began to get windy around her too. The noise, whatever noise it is becomes unbearable to her. The ringing in her ears continues as she begins to fade in and out of conscience as she's being lifted. The panic sinks in...
Then nothing.
Nothing but black. Darkness, as if in a perpetual void. "Is this what death feels like?" she thought. Not sure if she's to meet her mother, and as much as she knows her father in the realm beyond. And if this is the end, then she's ready. It's not like dying would be that bad after the loss of her mother and constant abuse and beatings she'd faced from Kira. Sure they won the FIW World Tag titles, but despite being on top of the world in her professional career she'd had never felt so awful and so worthless in her life. So lonely and so...
So much like death would be the better option of the two. So much so that her only escape from the weekly beatings both in the ring and out was the stars in the sky. These balls of fire lightyears away were the only things that kept her going at this point.
"Pathetic" She would think. "Just how pathetic can i get?" she would constantly think. But right now... right now in this void she's never felt more happy. More at ease.
She doesn't know how much time had passed, but a flash appears. A white light at the end of the tunnel if you will. The happiness from the black abyss would be sucked out of her. as the light would get closer. "NO! Let me stay!" she'd scream out at the unknown. Soon the dark would disappear and her body would feel tight. Confined to a table or something. She'd try to move but it was no use. The bright lights would continue to shine as dark figures would soon loom over her.
"⎅⍜⋏'⏁ ⏚⟒ ⏃⌰⏃⍀⋔⟒⎅ ⊑⎍⋔⏃⋏." One figure said.
"⍙⟒ ⏃⍀⟒⋏'⏁ ⊑⟒⍀⟒ ⏁⍜ ⊑⎍⍀⏁ ⊬⍜⎍. ⍙⟒ ☊⍜⋔⟒ ⎎⍀⍜⋔ ⏁⊑⟒ ⟟⋏⏁⟒⍀☌⏃⌰⏃☊⏁⟟☊ ⏃⌰⌰⟟⏃⋏☊⟒ ☍⋏⍜⍙⋏ ⏃-" it'd continue before it would get stopped by the other figure.
"⏁⊑⟒ ⊑⎍⋔⏃⋏ ☊⏃⋏'⏁ ⎍⋏⎅⟒⍀⌇⏁⏃⋏⎅ ⎍⌇ ⊬⟒⏁. ⍙⟒ ⎅⟟⎅⋏'⏁ ⟟⋏⌇⏁⏃⌰⌰ ⏁⊑⟒ ⎍⋏⟟⎐⟒⍀⌇⏃⌰ ⏁⍀⏃⋏⌇⌰⏃⏁⍜⍀ ⎅⟒⎐⟟☊⟒." The other one would say.
Soon they would go away for a few minutes. Yuki would try looking around, but couldn't move herself at all. She'd feel a pinch before the figures would come back into view.
“Can you understand me now human?” one figure said.
Yuki still frightened and confused hardly manages to muster much more than a yes. Her eyes continue to dart around, trying to avoid the still bright lights, now focusing on the contours of figures looming over her prone body.
“We’re sorry to have you confined on the apparatus, but we need to make sure you’re not hostile.” it said.
”A-Are you god? Am i dead?” Yuki asked.
“No, no we’re not the entity you call god. We’re not any of those religious beings that you humans have come in contact with. Although we do know of their existence, none of them come to this universe anymore. Or… i should say they can’t come here anymore.” One figure said.
“The things you humans call Black Holes, were once used along with White Holes to create portals or wormholes as you say, from their universes to this one.” The other said.
”But… how does that even work? And if you’re not god then who are you and where am i?”
“It’s much more simple than you may think. Black holes suck things in, correct?”
Yuki gives him a nod, or as much of one as she can.
“White holes, they aren’t theoretical, but are real things which exist. White holes blow things out. Due to their nature they aren’t visible to the human eye. But Black holes are the entry point and white holes are the exit point. They create like we said a wormhole of sorts and that’s what we and they use to get across this universe and the others.” it said.
“As to where you are, you’re aboard the TM40, a vessel led by captain Zynx, apart of the Intergalactic Coalition of Peace. Our scouts have found great potential in you Yuki Sakaraba. You may not realize it now but you and many others are the key to saving the multiverse.” It continued.
”M-Mutiverse? Intergalactic Coalition of Peace? What does that even mean? W-why chose me out of anyone on earth?”
“In due time young one. All will be answered and more once we take you to the captain, if you accept it.” One interjected.
Yuki hesitant musters a reply.
”If… if i must.” she musters.
The bounds that confined her loosen as do the lights dim. The aliens figures now become slightly more clear as do her surroundings. The metallic, yet white room is covered with what looks like medical supplies and buttons all over the place. She seems to be in their medical facility. At least that’s what she’s thinking anyways. She drops to her hands and knees, staring at the pure white floor.
Sweat drops below her as she’s still weak. She struggles to get up, now on one knee. She gets up, still a bit dizzy and rushes over to a wall. She begins leaning on the wall, breathing heavy. The aliens approach her, concerned.
“Are you alright? Do you need help up?” One said.
”...I’m… fine… just… just give me a minute…” she says while still breathing heavily.
After a few minutes she gains her composure and her barings. Getting a good look on the two aliens now. One is very tall, even compared to the other. They look familiar though, almost like she’s seen these beings before. But right now she can’t think where or why. They help keep Yuki steady as they go out of the white room and go into the well lit hallway.
Many doors are along the hallway, but as Yuki gets a better look at it the hall curves as if it’s in a circle. The metallic halls are large, at least to the small Yuki. She gets led to a large door with an odd looking symbol on it. They step into the door and the aliens press a few buttons on the wall. The room begins to move, but in what direction Yuki can’t tell. After a few minutes the door opens again and a new room appears in front of her.
The metallic structure of the ship still encompasses this one. Although there’s windows or… at least a screen of sorts. There’s a large chair in the middle of the room surrounded by other chairs lowering in height gradually as they get closer to the walls of the semicircular room. There’s what looks like desks and tables with buttons and levers all over the place too. If Yuki’s knowledge on Star Trek and sci-fi serves her right then this is the main hub that controls the ship. And that thing in the big chair in the middle is the captain of this ship.
“Captain the human is ready to meet with you.”
”Very well, Bring her here Xahg.” The captain says.
”Here she is sir.” Xahg replies.
The giant chair begins to spin to face them and stairs flip out. The being sitting in the chair motions for them to come up the stairs. They walk up the stairs, each step the captain looks larger and larger.
The captain motions for them to stop about halfway up.
”So you’re the one, huh? The one talked about in legends for eons. You finally come to us.” The Captain says.
”Chosen… one? What do you mean chosen one?” Yuki says, confused.
The Captain closes his eyes for a brief moment before answering her question.
”The Chosen one has been talked about for far longer than any of us have ever lived. Since the dawn of time this story has been passed down from generation to generation. We just never thought it’d be an earthling.”
“When everything began there was light and there was the darkness. The two coexisted for a while, but the Darkness grew jealous, angry of the light. The darkness wanted more, it was never happy with what it had. But despite being such an evil jerk the darkness was still a gentlemen. The Darkness issued a challenge to the light after some time. A wrestling match, or tournament if you will. The winner would take control of the multiverse that they had spawned through infighting and sheer willpower. But this was just a story…” He’d say.
”But… why me? Why pro wrestling? What… what do you mean was a story?” she’d ask.
”My, what a curious species you humans are. Pro Wrestling is the most ancient form of competition and the most sacred way to settle a difference. Even now we settle all scuffles with a good ole’ pro wrestling match. Why you? Well we don’t know why you were one of the chosen, but you and a few others were chosen to help save the multiverse. This was a story till most recently… A being on earth has been emitting an unusual amount of dark matter and dark energy. We still don’t know who or what it is… but the darkness is coming soon. There’s only one problem.”
”What’s that?” Yuki asks.
”We don’t know where the being called the light even is. Even his direct offspring, the beings you earthlings call the gods don’t even know where he is anymore. We’ve searched for eons yet nothing. We know he’s still alive, for there is still light and good. But we just don’t know where he is. But that’s enough story time, Now that you understand, Xahg see her to her room aboard the TM40.”
The chair spins back to the way it was before as Xahg and the other take Yuki to her new room on the TM40. She steps into the spacious white room. There’s a bed, a desk, a closet and a few shelves. Also a window to look outside.
”Here’s your new room, You are to stay here till we get to HQ. Where you’ll be officially registered and apart of the crew.” Xahg says before he leaves.
Yuki looks as if she’s going to say something, but before she can they leave. Now in total silence in the vast abyss of space she sits in this white room to collect her thoughts on what new information she was told. Yuki’s not too sure what to think if she was honest, but she knows she wants to make sure a future of evil and darkness is never a possibility. She can’t let this big darkness win.
