Welcome to the wholesome, family friendly Inventor’s Faire! Healthy inventors from around the world and throughout different timelines have arrived to win the top prize! Unfortunately a group of disgruntled inventors have joined the faire too; they actually bothered to read the rules of the faire and noticed that if an inventor’s invention is destroyed, the inventor will be removed from the faire.
This also means the scummy inventors can be removed from the faire if their invention is similarly destroyed. Each invention will do something; this could be day or night; this could be positive or negative for the player. Please note the signup directions and rules below or be disadvantaged. This game should move fast if people post and use their inventions.

1. Please PM me three inventions (pictures, or invention names)
a. Don’t tell me what they do, I will assign roles based on the image or name
b. They can be any object, real or imagined, that requires innovation but please ensure that if any humans are pictured, they are wearing clothing
c. Examples (available for use): the wheel, 3D printer, jet pack, car, steam powered hair dryer, computer, flying saucer, phone, death ray, spork
d. If you can’t or don’t want to pick one, just let me know and I’ll do it for you :>

I have 16 roles pre-picked and am happy to add more roles in the event that more players wish to join. Roles are decided based on which inventions match best with the ability.

1. During the day, players will be able to vote an inventor out of the faire. I will provide a periodic vote count which players may influence by:
a. VOTE: PERSON, if they feel that player is “mafia” or otherwise wish to remove them from the game.
b. UNVOTE: PERSON, only if a player wishes to remove their previous vote without placing a new vote.
c. Note that the vote count will reflect voting abilities of the players who have voted but not the number of votes needed to send specific players home.
d. Should a player receive the votes needed to remove them from the faire (half plus one unless specified by an invention) they get one “faire well” post (see what I did there) that should not aim to influence the game (e.g. “DT poisoned me!”). Death will also remove them from the game.
i. Then they should not post again on the live chat or like a post until the game has ended. All players removed from the faire will be added to the dead chat to continue to discuss the game or learn who has what invention.
e. I will like posts as a way to track which votes or actions I have counted.
f. The day is scheduled and I will post an end time however it will end once a player is removed from the faire. Once a player is out, I will reveal their alignment, their invention and its ability.
2. During the night, players will have a defined amount of time to PM any night action they can and would like to use; this is not mandatory. The night action deadline will be posted on the end of day message but may occur faster if all players with a night action send it in sooner.
a. Passive abilities do not require actions from players.
b. Do not post on the live board once the day is done.
c. The next day will start when I post the start of the day message on the live board.
3. The TOWN will win when only town remains. The scummy inventors win when they are equal in number to the town or there is nothing to prevent this from occurring.
a. Third party, if included, is/are not scum but nor are they town. If a third party is/are removed, the game continues until either scum or town win.
4. Do not quote more than three consecutive words from the PM I send you or I will censor your post.
5. If you would like to get my attention, please use a new line and write in BOLD and/or CAPS LOCK.
a. Please avoid posting in any shade of PINK as it will be the official mod color.
6. Please do not edit a previous post. Just post a new one with an * or “EBWOF” to indicate a correction.
a. I may censor your post if it breaks a rule listed here or you go against what my PM says, like when an action has been taken against you (e.g., If you can only laugh or vote in all your posts for the day, I will force a giggle from you and delete complete sentences).
b. If I feel your post is a personal attack against another player, I’ll censor it. Or, if it is a reoccurring issue or too strongly worded, remove you from the game. This is a fun game. We will be having fun or else.
7. Please do not discuss strategies or roles or abilities outside this thread with other players (alive or dead) while you are at the faire unless this is allowed as a day or night ability.
a. Once you are no longer at the faire, you may talk with others who are note at the faire or the mod, provided the live players won’t see it. I will have a dead chat.
8. Remember we are all here to have fun (and to watch each other descend into chaos)! This is only a game (That I carefully crafted with each of you in mind and I expect blood).
a. This game has less used roles but I will not provide information I know to be wrong about what they do or what has happened; unlike some mods who say this, I mean it. I may withhold information and if you ask a direct question the answer would give too much away, I’ll tell you “I will not answer that”.
b. The intention’s abilities are not misnamed (e.g. if a doctor, you don’t kill people) but feel free to ask questions as you have them.
9. If you no longer want or are able to play, please PM me. If you stop posting, I reserve the right to remove or exchange you from the game.
a. If you want to only be at the faire a short time or know you won’t be able to be as active, please let me know in advance. I can give you a role to accommodate this request.
