AWF Universe,
I just wanted to make an announcement in the interest of making sure everyone has a rocking time at the most popular and hip and cool fed based from Bethesda, Ohio. (And this includes in real life too!)
We have a lot of different characters here. Some of them are completely and admittedly ridiculous (Terry Bradshaw and Greg Adkins). Some of them are based on the darker sides of humanity (Michael Storm). Some of them include our real names or aspects of who we are as people (Chris Card)
The XHF Network does have a feedback session and it's a great thing for people to use. Please use it if you're looking for some constructive criticism in order to better your character. Having a rut with your character? Stressed out on where to go? Go for it. We want you all to be happy.
However, in the name of ensuring we all have good vibes and nothing but positivity OOC, (We do the trash talking in character!) we ask for a little discretion and a bit of sensitivity when it comes to certain topics.
So something we are asking is if someone makes a post asking for feedback, feel free to post your feedback. If you want to initiate feedback by way of Discord or other form of direct message, ask them. Just a quick, "Hey, I had a quick thought or two about your RP or your character direction. Mind if I share?" goes a long way.
If you feel your post could be problematic or ill received, think twice. It's probably not a good idea to move forward. Everyone has a right to their character and their thoughts and may not be as welcoming in receiving as you are in giving.
And if you can start to tell that things suddenly start to go sour, apologize and back off. We all have choices on how to handle disputes; we can choose to agitate it or let it settle. In the interest of our values, we certainly hope you'd choose the latter option.
Remember, we're all here together to have a good time. If we didn't care about wrestling, creative writing, telling a story and making Copycat look foolish, why are we even here?
Thanks all for your attention. You all rock.
