Hello AWF Universe!
Thank you all for making Clash of the Icons a wild success. I know it's kind of cliche to say that this would not be possible without all of you, but that doesn't make it any less true. There are a ton of feds throughout the interwebs and for some reason, you chose us. You took your characters that you've worked hard to imagine and dream up, most of you with years or even decades of experience, and you put them in our hands. You trusted us with them. That means a lot to us. I don't want you to think we ever take that responsibility likely.
That's what adminning is. It's all about responsibility and I make it a huge effort to create an admin culture and environment one that I'd personally want to play. We treat others how we want to be treated and we leave all the animosity in the RP board.
One of the main tenets that I believe with is good leadership. I personally believe that the one who leads is the one who does the bulk of the effort - although I use the term lead loosely, because Teeps, Ryan, Bailey and Chao are all amazing in their own right and I'm not sure I'm much more than just someone with a title. The title, however, is what's changing.
Clash of the Icons is the final show where I, Erez/Kuroi, will serve as the fed-head of the AWF. From this point on with the unanimous support of the AWF adminship, that title will belong to Bailey, or as many of you know as, Cross Recoba.
Bailey is someone who only recently joined the XHF Network community, but from day one has expressed interest in becoming one with the community. He's been an absolute delight to work and socialize with. Even since becoming an admin, he has volunteered for numerous projects such as updating several admin page directories and charts. He gave everything a huge face lift and has also brought back to life our Twitter, much better than how it was when we originally had it. He truly cares about our members, about our e-fedding community, and he has my full support.
Now I want to clear up any sort of thoughts brewing in your noggin'. I'm stepping down because I'm entering graduate school and I'm concerned how much it will impede on my ability to lead. Last time I had a major life change was when Reck/Seth was admin, and looking back, I don't feel right having the title but not earning my keep for that. I'm not going to make the same mistake again.
Furthermore, I'm not leaving the admin team. I'm not sure how you want to refer to me. Junior admin? Admin associate? Sure, I'm still the only remaining founder, but titles to me aren't really as important as what it can do for our AWF community. In our adminning end, we run everything in pretty much a democratic standpoint so the only real technical change generally lies with which person Mongo hears the news from. This news was agreed upon and Mongo was informed about a month ago.
I can go on and on further, but then I'd just be rambling. I really care about the community, and about you guys so I hope you all join me in congratulating Bailey to his new position as AWF Fed Head.
