The scene is set inside of the AWF Headquarters where we witness a slimmed-down man in a grey buttoned T-Shirt stand in front of the screen that shows the words "THE LIVE FIVE" and "CLASH OF THE ICONS". Keeping a smile on his face, he greets the audience watching.
Devon Thorne: Welcome back to the return of “The Live Five”, and with a brand new era being brought in, we come back to everyone with a brand new edition of The Live Five after a two-year hiatus. With the return, we’ll be bringing The Live Five to you every Monday after a show goes live. I am your host, Devin Thorne, and today we are going to be looking at five of the best in the Ascension Wrestling Federation right now! With that out of the way, tonight we kick off the rebranded Live Five after the fallout of Clash of The Icons III with the Honorable Mentions list… and they are…
A graphic appears on the screen...
...and then another graphic appears...
The screen then shows a montage of Keith William clips, including his pin on Copycat to win the Around The Clock Championship.
Devon Thorne: Being sleazy ain’t easy, and the same goes for being the Around The Clock Champion… Keith Williams snatched the AWF Around The Clock Championship from Copycat. His sleaziness has been spread around the locker room since he debuted against Dakota Williams in a losing effort, but now as the Around The Clock Champion, he’s got to have eyes in the back of his head.
The screen then shows another graphic...
The graphic fades away before we see a clip montage of Vincent Draven appearing.
Devon Thorne: Here's one I am shocked to see down off the list but he will be in my the honorable mentions! Although Vincent Draven may have lost the AWF United States Championship to Tommy Strychnine, a name you might see later, he is very much as important as the rest that made the Live Five and by that, I mean he is very good at what he does... One of the best strikers in the AWF and, quite frankly, the entire XHF right now. Whomever Draven may choose to come after next, whether it's Strychnine again or even stepping up to Seth Dillinger, do not sleep on this man... I see him seizing the night very soon.
The screen turns back to it's normal graphic.
Devon Thorne: Now with our Honorable Mentions out of the way, let us kick off The Live Five with...
The screen graphic shows...
The graphic fades away before we see a clip montage of Graysie Parker appearing, whilst showing highlights of the Triple Threat Chairs Match.
Devon Thorne: Wow, did that match absolutely rock?! It sure did and with her young and upcoming career still blooming like a caterpillar in it’s cocoon, Graysie Parker may have hatched from hers with a MASSIVE and impressive victory over Natasha and Dakota Jennings in the Steel Chair match that took place this past Saturday night at Clash of The Icons. But what next would Eric Dane have in store for her when Prestige rolls around? I’m sure we’ll know very soon enough, The Only Star doesn’t do things too quietly, as we’ve learned.
Devon chuckles as the screen returns to it’s original graphic.
Devon Thorne: Now, we move on to number four with...
The screen graphic shows...
The graphic fades away before we see a clip montage of Aiden Merric appearing, whilst showing highlights of his XHF Phoenix Championship defense against Rob Garcia.
Devon Thorne: Oh boy! Garcia and Merric really rocked the outback shack on Saturday night but one man walked out with the title and Aiden Merric was that man, and let me tell you, Aiden Merric has been on a dominant path since his rough start from his debut and there seems to be no stopping him for the foreseeable future. Now with a Tournament running through where AWF’s newest members battle it out in a Fatal Four Way to challenge Aiden Merric at the next Pay Per View, I’m sure the Aussie From Down Under will keep his eyes peeled on all four matches heading into the Four-Way Match.
The screen turns back to it's normal graphic.
Devon Thorne: We’re at the final three, who takes the bronze prize for this week...
The screen graphic shows...
The graphic fades away before we see a clip montage of Jack Diamond appearing, whilst showing highlights of the match he had with Michael Storm.
Devon Thorne: Jack Diamond has once again laid the final proverbial nail in Michael Storm’s coffin at Clash of The Icons. It was a hard-fought match from start to finish but the more Jack begged for Michael to stay down, the more furious he got… and man, he sure got furious. A five-piece of Stacked Decks sealed Storm’s fate and he was left to retire for good, but now Jack moves onto A Call To Arms with the rest of Team Fuck Mongo, it’s the question of if he can push himself further to bringing back the X*Crown Championship to AWF and bring himself up to three reigns with the belt - time will tell soon.
The screen turns back to it's normal graphic.
Devon Thorne: We’re at Number Two, who takes the silver?
The screen graphic shows...
The graphic fades away before we see a clip montage of Tommy Srychnine appearing, whilst showing highlights of the match he had with Vincent Draven, dethroning him and becoming AWF United States Champion.
Devon Thorne: One of the only two newly crowned champions at Clash of The Icons, Tommy Strychnine defeated Vincent Draven in another hard-fought match, these two going against one another have been instant classics from start to finish and hopefully, another could come down the line soon. But for now, he’s got Dakota Jennings to face and… let me tell you, she’s a firecracker for sure. Tommy might have his hands full but be warned, I’m sure many more will have their say into making his hands even fuller.
The screen turns back to it's normal graphic.
Devon Thorne: And now, the number one spot and one you might have been expecting to see here is...
The screen graphic shows...
The graphic fades away before we see a clip montage of Seth Dillinger appearing, whilst showing highlights of his AWF Prestige Championship defense against Ryan Young.
Devon Thorne: Well, it’s no surprise to see Seth Dillinger has made his way onto the number one spot after his hard-hitting, grueling and emotional contest with Ryan Young. With this, his reign comes in at one hundred and fifty-seven days which means that by Prestige, he will become the longest-reigning AWF Prestige Champion of all time, beating out Chris Card’s one hundred and sixty-one-day reign! With the upcoming Prestige speculating if Seth Dillinger has split LGBTKO apart, things are looking very dark and gloomy for the fan-favorite stable but there are rumors that a new challenger is stepping up to the plate this upcoming Prestige too, only time will once again tell if the reign of Seth Dillinger finally comes to an end sooner rather than later.
For the final time, the screen turns back to it's normal graphic.
Devon Thorne: And that’s been The Live Five, I’ve been your new host Devon Thorne… and we’ll see you after Prestige, ciao everyone.
End Feed.
