Hello, AWF World!
It's been a while since we've had to revisit the rules and that's a great thing! We did want to amend a lot of rules, all to prevent anything from happening. No need to worry. We're all at a great place, but we want to one-over stress some points to ensure smooth sailing.
- We will be implementing a rule where, once a promo has been made, you have one hour to make any sort of edits. I know, because this happens to me all the time, that we can make coding or grammatical errors, but in order to ensure extra transparency and prevent any sort of possible perception of funny business, we will just require no edits shortly after posting. We recommend you make use of proof reading your promos and review the promos, even after the post has been made.
- We would like to take this moment to remind you all that we as admins are human. We are subject to human error just like you, but we are committed to a fair and harmonious environment with you all. If there is some sort of issue, please reach out to us with a level of understanding from our perspective. We will never try to misrepresent your characters in a way you wouldn't use them, and want you to achieve your goals. We do this job for free and are devoting a collective day worth of work every week between us four and all contributors. We do this because we want you to have an adventure.
- With this being said, we will not be tolerating abuse. If there are issues, please approach us with respect. Please consider what you're typing and consider how your words may come across. There's a difference between, "You don't know how to do your jobs!" and "I have some concerns about the booking from last show." One of these messages expresses good faith and a desire to fix any sort of misunderstandings. The other seeks to pick a fight. Please understand that promos are extremely subjective and we don't always agree on everything, even among the admins. But we recuse ourselves from booking if we ever worry that personal feelings may get in the way of our bookings. Please message us privately. We'll find something out.
- Also, because we have a growing crowd, matches are harder to write. We've been historically writing matches when people have not showed up. This takes more time out us and it's quite taxing to work so hard for some who may not be there to see the rewards of their efforts. Moving forward, if someone doesn't promo, their character may not see a long match, or a match at all if no one promos. If you want to be back onto the show, you'll be required to submit a promo or a segment for the upcoming show before we put you on the card.
I'm proud of you guys. I love what you've been accomplishing and we're now in a new age where the newer guys have an opportunity to really rise. Have fun, let us know about your ideas. We have a Road to Victory ahead! *ba dum tss*
Love,
Kuroi, Teeps, Adrien and Bailey.
