Mongo the Destroyer, Spike Kane, and 3 more like this
Post by Venom 🕷 on Mar 14, 2022 13:40:46 GMT -5
We open up in the locker room. The X*Crown Champion El Rey is taping up his wrists ahead of his big match. The door swings open and El Rey looks up and rolls his eyes.
El Rey: What do you want?
We pan out to once again see Venom, El Rey’s father, standing in the door way.
Venom: Look, I know you think you have the upper hand tonight, but as someone who has wrestled Spike and watched him evolve I wanted to give you some advice.
El Rey: Don’t need it. I needed it a year ago, and a year before that. Now, I’m X*Crown Champion and I did it on my own.
Venom: I get it. I let you down when you were becoming a man, but you need to understand Spike doesn’t need weapons to be violent.
El Rey: I said I…
Venom: Just listen. You don’t understand Spike Kane. He’s not the God of Xtreme because he can’t work a regular singles match. He earned that moniker by ripping people apart violently in any way possible. You have to be prepared to take a beating.
El Rey: I am prepared. You think I got this Crown by being soft? I’ve got this. Now go because it’s about time for me to get out there. So do like you’ve done so many times before and go.
Venom shakes his head and exits as El Rey finishes and we cut to the arena. BOOM, BANG, POW! We pan around the arena and, uh oh, this is bad. The entire crowd is hammered. We can’t see any signs because pretty much everyone is too drunk to stand. We cut to Magnus and Tom Phillips who look scared for their lives.
Magnus: Welcome to a special edition of the Gun Show.
Phillips: The home of the most terrible idea ever.
Magnus: Yeah I wish someone told me $1 green beer night would be a disaster.
Phillips: Well every $1 beer night ever could’ve told you that.
Magnus: Well why didn’t you warn me then?
Phillips: Because I was 99% sure I’d get laid, and now I’m 100% sure.
Magnus: Eww.
The lights go out as the beginning of "Bow Down" by I Prevail plays through the PA system, as a circle of flames erupts on the stage. Through the flames, slowly emerges Spike Kane as he fully emerges, the song kicks in.
"GET ON YOUR KNEES AND BOW DOWN!!!"
Spike steps through the flames and heads to the ring, taking off his jacket as he prepares for a fight.
Magnus: The God of Xtreme is here!
Phillips: He looks scary.
Magnus: He sure is, maybe that’s why I’m getting a note that our champ is running late. While he’s getting ready let’s take a look at how I selected who will face Nelly Angel at the next Gun Show.
The camera moves to the back to find Randy Angel looking very impatient. Soon Magnus runs into the shot.
Randy: Where in the heck have you been!?
Magnus: I’m been running the show, and also commentating on it- unprofessional I know, but I’m here now.
Nelly’s older brother rolls his eyes a little.
Randy: Well, better late than never. So I’ve gotten all the pictures set up. Every Junior Heavyweight in the XHF Network…
He gestures to the opposite wall in the hallway where the two currently are. There are a whole bunch of pictures, promotional shots, magazine cutouts, and Polaroids taped to the wall. Magnus pauses for a moment to look at the pictures.
Magnus: I’m….I’m not seeing anyone from GUNS here.
Randy: Yeah, there might be a couple- but you guys really need to diet. Anyway, here’s the deal. You’ll throw first, then I’ll throw and we’ll decide between those two darts who we want Nelly to defend against for the Junior Heavyweight Championship.
Magnus: Ok, that makes sense.
The GUNS owner tosses his dart and it hits…somebody- but before either can figure out who, the dart falls straight to the floor.
Magnus: …You didn’t put corkboard behind the pictures, did you?
Randy: Look, it’s not my fault that you didn’t throw hard enough. Alright, it looks like whoever I hit will be Nelly’s opponent at the next GUN Show- with the XHF Junior Heavyweight Championship on the line! Let’s do it blind…
He closes his eyes as he lines up his shot. Magnus covers his eyes too because why not. Slowly Randy gets into position and lets it loose!
[/div]
They slowly open their eyes. Before them stands Spike Kane, the XHF/Network Legend, the God of Xtreme, one of the most violent and dangerous men in the entire company, here today because of the X*Crown. Now with a dart sticking out of his head. Magnus and Randy look at each other.[/b]
Randy: That doesn’t count, does it?
Magnus: I’m not sure.
They turn to Spike.
Magnus: Spike, how much do you weigh?
Spike: Well, interestingly enough, I’ve been really working out hard and have finally gotten myself under 16 stone. I’m probably a little under 220 lbs at this point. Also, WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS!?
He points to the dart, though doesn’t remove it. Randy winces as Magnus and him confer, ignoring Spike’s demand.
Magnus: I think that means it counts.
Randy: Well it was a good run I suppose…
Spike: Hello?
They look at each other and move to point at each other.
Magnus/Randy: HE DI-
This likely won’t help them at all. Change of strategy. They point at Spike.
Magnus/Randy: YOU DID IT!
Randy and Magnus then scatter and run away in either direction of the hall, leaving a confused and angry Spike Kane with a dart sticking out of his head, having no idea what just took place.
Phillips: So Spike could be X*Crown Champion and Junior Heavyweight Champion after the next Gun Show.
Magnus: Indeed he could, but first he has to defeat our Champion who is apparently finally ready.
“HOOOOOOOOOOOOWL”
“All rise fore the king of all wolves now arrives.”
The voice of James Earl Mother Fucking Jones echos over the speakers. How did he get James Earl Jones to say that? It wasn’t a Cameo I’ll tell you that and it cost a pretty penny. Shortly after James Earl Jones speaks Big Sean’s “Wolves” begins to play. The stage lights up with a spotlight and smoke fills the stage. Two men dressed as royal guards walk out and produce swords. They turn and point them into the air touching near the tips and El Rey walks out wearing a crown with the BDDWF Ultimate Championship side plate front and center in the middle of the Crown. Waving in the breeze from fans under the stage is a red cape with the side plates of the other 22 championships that comprise the X*Crown sewn in. El Rey looks around at the booing audience before lifting his head raising his nose in the air showing his superiority over everyone in the audience. He walks under the two swords and makes his way to the ring. He walks up the stairs and steps into the ring.
Magnus: And he’s here.
Phillips: Finally.
Magnus: And the crowd goes, wild?
Phillips: They cut off the beer, that’s not wild that’s angry.
Magnus: Let’s get this started.
El Rey removes his crown, cape, and other X*Crown accessories and hands them off to the stagehand at ring side. While this is happening Spike is casually leaned in the corner waiting for the young Champion to be ready. Finally El Rey is satisfied all his stuff is safe and moves to the center of the ring. El Rey shakes his head and laughs.
El Rey: This is the God of Xtreme? Looks more like the drummer from a shitty metal band.
El Rey laughs at his own joke and turns his head towards Magnus at the announcers table and as soon as the young Champ turns his head Spike explodes out of the corner and nails El Rey with a running big boot that nearly knocks the teenagers head off. El Rey screams in pain and quickly rolls out of the ring and stands on the outside holding his jaw. In the ring Spike looks around at the drunken crowd and smirks. El Rey paces on the outside yelling in the direction of Magnus as he does, but again he isn’t paying attention to Spike who runs and dives through the ropes with a drop kick to the back of the young champ knocking him into the announcers table.
Phillips: Was he yelling at you to call for a count out?
Magnus: Yeah, I think he was.
Phillips: Are you working with him to keep the X*Crown in GUNS?
Magnus: I might’ve been before he called me out in a promo like a jackass.
El Rey is doubled over on the announcers table and Spike moves behind him and grabs him by the back of his neck and slams him face first into the announcers table. He doesn’t let go and slams again, and the drunken crowd sloppily counts to ten as he slams him over and over. In the ring the ref is looking at Magnus waiting for a signal on if should count or not, but Magnus doesn’t seem eager to give it and allows Spike to continue to punish the champion. After the ten slams into the table Spike turns him around and looks around at the crowd before nailing El Rey with a stiff chop that echoes throughout the arena. Spike grabs El Rey and pulls him away from the table. Spike looks over his shoulder at the ring steps and smiles and whips the champ towards them. The youngster shows signs of life, though, and leaps on top of the steps and back flips over Spike grabbing him by the head as he does and nails him with a reverse DDT on the way down.
Phillips: E-Reytio Version 2 by the champ.
Magnus: I liked his dad’s name for it better.
Phillips: What was it called?
Magnus: I don’t remember, but it was better.
El Rey slowly gets up and looks at his downed opponent and quickly slides into the ring. He yells at the ring to count, but before the ref even starts Spike is up and slides into the ring. El Rey screams in anger and quickly moves and stomps on Spike as he slides in stopping him from getting up and getting momentum. El Rey reaches down to grab the former X*Crown Champion and pulls him by his hair, but Spike responds with a palm strike. El Rey stumbles back. The space allows Spike to pull himself up on the ropes. El Rey shakes off the strike and quickly runs at Spike and swings for a lariat, but Spike ducks and pushes El Rey in the back forcing him chest first into the ring ropes. El Rey bounces back and Spike grabs him by the waist and nails him with a release German suplex. El Rey rolls around in pain from the impact and Spike quickly dives on him with a pin attempt, but El Rey kicks out.
Phillips: Spike with the high impact, and it nearly netted him a second X*Crown run in just a few months time.
After the kick out Spike mounts the young champion and begins to rain down forearm shots down across the face of the champion. El Rey covers up trying to block the shots, but Spike continues to strike through the champ's forearms. El Rey brings a knee up and connects with the small of the back of Spike, but he doesn’t stop raining down forearms. El Rey connects again, and again, until finally he knocks Spike off of him. El Rey quickly rolls out of the ring and back to the outside. Spike quickly gets up to his feet and looks around until he locates the champion on the outside. He doesn’t hesitate and runs towards El Rey and launches, but as he begins to dive through the ropes El Rey leaps up and nails Spike with the leaping forearm. Spike is stopped dead in his tracks, but is quick back to his feet, slightly dazed. El Rey leaps up onto the apron and leaps again onto the ropes and spring boards towards the dazed Spike and nails him with a knee strike to the face. Spike is knocked down and El Rey quickly covers, but Spike kicks out almost immediately.
Magnus: El Rey finally gets some offense and Spike is quick to hang out.
Phillips: Hey girl, enjoying the cheap beer? No, that puke on your shirt doesn’t bother me.
Magnus: Your mic is live Tom, and you’re disgusting.
El Rey grabs his head. He can’t believe how quick Spike kicked out. He goes to grab Spike by the head as he tries to get back to his feet, but Spike quickly pushes his arms away and nails a stiff chop. El Rey grabs his chest in pain as Spike stalks the champ looking for the best place to strike. He moves to the side of El Rey and nails him in the hamstring with a stiff kick. El Rey jumps in pain and stumbles to the ropes and grabs them to keep himself up. Spike continues to stalk the teenager and as El Rey tries to rub out his hamstring Spike nails him again with another kick to the hamstring. El Rey nearly leaps out of the ring in pain, but Spike grabs him and pulls him back to the center of the ring before he can make another move. Spike in the center of the ring lifts El Rey up in a vertical suplex and holds him up. El Rey drops a knee to the face of Spike trying to get him to set him down, but the God of Xtreme just laughs at the strike and drops El Rey with a brain buster. Spike quickly floats over with a cover, but El Rey kicks out.
Magnus: The Champ is taking a beating.
Phillips: That was a big kick out there, but how much more can he endure?
Magnus: I can’t imagine much more, but we’ve seen him find a way to pull it out.
Spike gets up to his feet and smiles, impressed at the young man's tenacity, but he signals for the end. He waits for the youngster to get up, and when he gets up to his knees Spike reaches out with his foot, puts it under the champs chin, and helps him up the rest of the way to his feet. Spike smiles and then nails him with a spinning kick he calls Bloody Sunday. The champ is out cold and Spike falls onto him for the cover, but no count is made.
Magnus: Ugh, what is he doing here?
Phillips: Well Magnus, JFK is the owner of the company I think he can be anywhere he wants.
Magnus: He’s not the owner, I am damn it.
JFK is on the apron yelling at the ref and Spike notices there is no count being made. He gets up and turns his back on his opponent and tries to separate JFK and the ref. While he does so Venom runs out and slides a chair in the ring to his son. El Rey is out cold, though. Venom shakes his head and slides in and helps his son to his feet. El Rey comes to and shoves his dad in the chest and tells him he doesn’t need his help. Venom shakes his head and just points at the chair. He then slides out as El Rey bends over to pick up the chair.
Phillips: And the other owner comes out to help his son. Spike is in danger now.
Magnus: I’m the owner damn it.
As Venom exits the ring JFK drops off the apron, but keeps arguing with Spike. We hear him yell something to the effect of you work for me, but Spike just shakes his head no. El Rey lines up behind Spike with the chair ready, but instead of swinging he yells for the ref calling him to watch him nail Spike. The ref turns away from the ropes where he was telling JFK to leave and see the chair. He waves his arms trying to stop the young Champion, but El Rey just smiles as he swings towards the back of Spike. Spike turns at the last second, though, and swings his fist into the chair pushing the chair into the face of El Rey. El Rey is immediately busted open and the ref calls for the bell.
Winner and STILL X*Crown Champion: El Rey
Magnus: I don’t think this is how the Champ planned on retaining, but he did and he did it the hard way.
Phillips: Spike is pissed, but the champ outsmarted him this time. Now I’ll see you later, I’ve got a date with a drunken fan.
Magnus: You’re disgusting, and our champion is too. Will he ever retain with a clean win? We’ll find out April First when he faces off against a man he has yet to defeat Riley Richards! Until then, thank you for tuning into the Gun Show.
