Sin city.
This is my first time here. I’m told it’s a grown man’s play ground.
They have everything here. Strip clubs. Shows. Gambling of any and all kinds. And if you’re willing to drive out to the desert they even have legal paid sex. What else could a grown man want?
It’s the happiest place on Earth.
Yet.
For some reason.
When I look around at all the men enjoying their play ground I don’t see smiles from ear-to-ear.
No.
Instead, I see sorrow, dispose, and quite frankly, death.
This isn’t the happiest place on Earth for a grown man. This is where grown men come to lose it all.
Maybe that’s why Eichi has followed MCCW here.
Outside of the GUNS Arena there’s a giant pit that seems to get bigger by each passing minute. Next to the pit stands out XHF Junior Heavyweight Champion El Rey. He stares down at the bottom of the pit as his father Venom walks up behind him and places his hand on his sons shoulder.
Venom: Don’t get to close son. I would hate for you to fall in.
El Rey: Do you think he’s alive down there?
El Rey says softly about his friend and mentor Zoran Sainovic ignoring whatever it was that his dad said to him.
Venom: I hope not, but I doubt I’m that lucky.
El Rey: I know you didn’t trust him. I know you may have even hated him…
Venom: May have?
El Rey: …but I learned so much from him and I just hope that last time I saw him wasn’t the last time I saw him.
Venom: I know how you feel son. Sometimes I wish I never turned my back on Scorpion when I did. I wish I was with him for all of the best times, but we can’t change the past.
El Rey: Yeah, but you still have him around. You got to make peace with him and mend that relationship. Zoran and I were just mending ours and starting over when all of this happened.
Venom: I know you’re upset, but you’ve gotta let it slide. You know no one is ever gone in this business. Zoran has already died once and came back. Hell, I died twice. As much as I hate to say it, he’ll be back.
El Rey: You’re right. I’ve got a flight to catch. I can’t dwell on this anymore today.
Venom: You need a ride son?
El Rey: Nah. My Uber should be pulling up any minute now.
At that precise moment a car pulls up and immediately falls into the pit. El Rey turns and looks at his dad.[/i][/b]
El Rey: On second thought, yes.
The two walk off as the driver crawls out of the window of his car as it begins to engulf in flames.
Echi Yamaguchi.
I thank you for your kind words. At least I assume they were kind words. I don’t understand whatever gibberish language you were speaking in.
I must say, though, that even though you’re pushing thirty, you don’t look a day over 50.
Maybe it’s because you’ve lived in Sin City for so long now and the bright lights and late nights have taken a toll on your body. Maybe it’s because you’ve already exceeded the number on your bump card. Either way you look more washed up than the women walking the streets here in Vegas.
I can’t help but respect your accomplishments though.
For someone who has kept to their own little corner of the Network you’ve made quite a name for yourself. It’s great, it really is. You’ve had battles with some really incredible talents, and Death Trap.
What you’ve done, though, pales in comparison to yours truly.
You see, you’re here pushing 30 and I turn a ripe young 21 in two months and out score cards on a global scale are much different.
I’ve already tangled with and won against the likes of Dylan Black, Zoran Sainovic, and so many other stars on the global level. While you, you’ve had battles with a bunch of losers too afraid to leave Sin City and really roll the dice.
I’m already a former X*Crown Champion and have retained this title with the deck stacked against me in multi man matches time after time. Now I have finally earned the chance at a one-on-one battle.
How do you think that is going to go for you?
I’ll tell you, Eichi, not well.
This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for and I’m not going to lose and let the XHF brass think they were right forcing me into all those multi man matches. I plan to drag your washed up scared to leave Sun City ass to a five star match, even if it kills you.
Because let’s face it, this is going to be the match of your life one way or another. I just need to keep you breathing long enough for my hand to be held up high.
So be ready Eichi.
I need you at your best.
So I can show the world that Sin City’s best still isn’t good enough.
