The XHF Network is not like all other e-feds.
We're not just a fed, we're not just a community, we're a family.
Members should be competing in a sporting manner and to entertain other members, not to try to prove their superiority. We prefer to see any serious competition left to the ring, with respect and cooperation between members elsewhere. To win a title may involve satisfying other criteria not listed here, often including longevity.
Quality over quantity is our approach to looking at rps. Quantity without the content to back it up will count against you. Members have freedom to rp in the style they feel comfortable with, and we discourage the promotion of any writing techniques as better than any other. Rps should aim to interest and/or entertain, not demonstrate writing ability.
Things we like in rps: Consistency. Clarity. Imagination. Character.
Things we don't like: Gamesmanship. Repetition. Pretentiousness. Filler.
You can only admin one fed at a time. We tend not to turn down fed ideas in order to allow you to be creative and make a go of your ideas. However, we'd like you to stay committed to the fed you're running or helping to run. Many of us have short attention spans, but feds grow through responsibility and reliability, so it's best not to spread yourself too thin in terms of administrative work.
______________________________________________
1. Each character must have a fully completed application before competing in an XHF Network Fed.
- Each character can only be in one fed at a time; however handlers can have different characters in different feds.
2. Respect characters belonging to other members.
- Use of other people's characters in role-plays must be with full consent of the owner.
3. Do not differentiate characters by importance or members by ability.
- No member is a 'better' role-player than another so should not be referred to as such. Outside of individual match results characters are not ranked, so wrestlers should be treated as being of equal public standing and wrestling ability.
4. Other active non-member e-feds should not be mentioned on the board.
- Exception: advertisements contained in signatures. If you want a championship from another (dead) fed to be involved with your character, contact a booker.
5. Jobbing is not accepted.
- All match action and results on shows should be decided by bookers and match-writers independent of the characters' owners. If you wish to place a match on a show card for storyline advancement purposes contact a booker.
6. Match details must be confirmed in-character by both parties.
- No two characters by the same member may oppose each other. Bookers reserve the right to make or amend matches if they feel it necessary.
7. Don't be a fucking dick.
- Even though this fed operates outside of reality, a measure of decency is still asked of you when submitting role-plays. Do not include the following: illegal drug use, murder, explicit nudity or sexual acts, intolerance towards any classifications of gender, race, nationality or sexuality. Try to keep things around PG-13 (though cursing is fine)
8. Personal attacks on the board is prohibited.
- We strive to create a friendly, nay, a family-like environment, and interpersonal problems should be dealt with elsewhere. Complaints about show results or the board itself should be handled directly with the bookers.
9. Keep it kayfabe.
- In-character the XHF Network and its member feds should be treated as successful, legitimate companies. Titles must always be respected and 'insider' terms about out-of-character workings avoided entirely.
10. Do not pester bookers to read or critique your role plays.
- Bookers will read and consider every rp posted without fail. While they're more than happy to help, personalized feedback is considered an unfair advantage as well as unnecessary due to the criteria for merit being outlined above.
