Men CAN get periods. Males can't. I do appreciate you agreeing that gender is a social construct, though! Men can't. You're article tells you why.

Actually ........ men totally get periods ... it's just not a disposal of unneeded tissue, it's all hormonal and will often still present with soreness, tenderness, mood swings, etc. Pretty much everything involved except the bloody part. And I'm not gonna post again here as I am a) a scientist and b) a bleeding heart liberal and will likely get induced to rage and or induce it in others which I am not about. Also I'm too lazy to hunt sources my time is precious right now. But yeah. That.

Common knowledge - typically said by people without any sort of advance education or scientifical background, without psychological education, without any real sound level of education. Weird how the geneticists, the psychologists, the biologists allllllll disagree with one guy on the internet. not-binary.org/statement/It was common knowledge that being poor meant you weren't liked enough by god, in certain christian subsets. It was also common knowledge that some races were inferior to other races. I'm only gonna spend one post on stupid shit before i get back on topic. @kira Gender doesn't equal sex. Gender = how one perceives themselves and presents themselves, sex = one's biological sex. Even bio sex isn't cut and dry: thousands of people are born per year with a sex that isn't only possessing characteristics of a male or female baby, which is labeled being intersex. No advanced education? I have a Bach in computer science and took sociology classes on the side. That said...again..gender is a social construct. That's it. Actual medical doctors biologists and geneticist says men have dicks. So women have vaginas. Those who don't? Sociologists and some phycologists. You can't think of yourself however you want. Think you're a chick? Have at it. But you aren't if you don't have a vagina. Im getting my masters in social work and biology. Bachelors isn't advanced education. like i said.

Drago, be more careful with your coding. Youre making it seem Erik is an expert in science.
Also, DT has a masters in science.
Im about to pursue a masters in data science, which makes understanding data very important.
Whats important to know is sex and gender and their terms are horribly interchanged incorrectly, which makes their terms confusing for many.

Imagine being able to make computer programs and thinking that qualifies you as much as doctors, biologists, psychologists, psychiatrists, and plenty of people whose job is to study sex, gender, and genetics. So I'd like to translate this into an argument that I have a better understanding of- and Black if I'm way off with the comparison let me know.
When I was growing up the difference between a Mac and a PC was very simple. If your computer was DOS-based it was a pc, if it was running whatever apple's os was called back then it was a mac.
But....PC means personal computer, that is a computer you can have in your own home. This worked in the 90's because Macintosh was largely marketed to schools (at least in MN) and other business sectors. But now you can have an iOS based system at home. Does that make it not a PC? Or is it a Mac AND a PC? Since we use PC/Windows and Mac/iOS interchangeably the meanings carry different weight then they technically should have. This would be Kuroi's insistence on separating gender and sex.
What is more though, now some people have computers that can run both Windows and iOS- what does that make their computer? And I think that's why the gender debate is deeper than just how people feel or what bits they have. Because from a body chemistry standpoint some folks are running wine on an iOS never knowing it's not Windows and then when they find out there's a lot of questions- which as I mentioned earlier happens in sports every few years.
So instead of digging in our heels on any singular definition we might need to just look at computers as computers and ask if the game we want to play will run on the computer we wanna buy

A pc is a pc. It can be Linux based or iOS based. It's your personal computer. Gender is a social construct based on society and not actual science. Sex Is scientific. Science says men have dicks and women have vaginas. There is even an article in this thread stating why women menstrate and men don't.

Psychology is a science. And medical science knows when something is out of their area of expertise.
My primary care physician sends me to a specialist when she can't figure out why my back is totally useless.
Doctors know that a gender is how one views themselves and not what their chromosomes are.
Sex and gender aren't the same.
Now if you don't mind, I'm going to have gender with my wife.

But don’t claim science when science disagrees with you. It’s better to just say I don’t want to know.

I live in a country where in order to get most jobs to live, you need at least a bachelors. You live in a fairy tale land where social constructs which are entirely about what you think rather than facts are called science. Btw..genetics have nothing to do with what you think you are. Genetics tell you what you are. Biology is the same. You're biogically a man. You can be trans and think you're a woman...but you biological makeup is that of a dude....
