~The XHF Network feed cuts out and fades to black. It immediately cuts in on Esmur sitting in a chair facing the camera with not much else going on. He holds his tag team title on his lap and leans in close.~
~He sits back from the camera and holds up his belt~
~He leans forward again, clearly putting in as much effort as he feels is necessary~
~Now Esmur stands up and turns his back to the camera. He looks down and sighs then steps towards the camera so his mask nearly fills the screen shaking his head. He focuses In and points at the eyes of his mask which are cut out to show his real eyes and the fire within.~
~He backs up and sits back on the chair again.~
~He folds his hands and looks down at the seat of his chair. He looks back up after collecting his thoughts.~

“You know … Gebin and I were getting ready to film our next piece for our tag team title defense, the first of many defenses in a reign surely set for glory. And that will air tomorrow. But I feel the need to address the other match on the card for myself. Something I waited to do until I saw something. But I can wait no longer. Look I can go into a whole soliloquy about darkness and the end coming fast but that would be a grave overexertion on my part. For the second AWF show in a row I have seen no sign of the man who fought so hard to take the Phoenix Title. And it offends me. What it shows is a lack of respect. He doesn’t respect what we do and he doesn’t respect who we are. He doesn’t respect the AWF or the XHF. That much is clear from the people he associates with. The whole idea of the Gaibatsu Death Squad is taking it easy. And I can appreciate the sentiment. Stressing out serves nobody. However …”

“These accolades come to those who put in the effort. These do not come easy. ~Lowers the title~ Gebin and I worked our tails off for nine months to attain the credibility we needed to be in the running for these and we put in the effort for every booking no matter how much we felt was required. We treated a match with two newcomers Adkins and Sniper, who weren’t on the same page, the same way we treated a match with an established successful team like the NAK, or a team up of champions like last week with the GDS. And it is clear that the respect is not returned. Scott Fargo couldn’t be bothered to get out of bed before the match last show and he slights me by showing me no respect now. Where was the promo for this title match huh? Where was he talking about how important it would be to take down a current tag team champ who has as of yet only been beaten one time. Last week we came out with glowing praise for the skill of Dragon and Fargo. But the two of them have very lackadaisical attitudes about this whole career. There is taking it easy and there is dereliction of duty. James Dragon made the effort to at least acknowledge us and show some fire even if it was to tell us about how little he cares for anything. He at least acknowledged Nelly Angel despite his valid points of whether he is in shape or even deserving of a title shot. But I earned this shot, and I have been at the top of my game since day one. And Fargo tells me everything I need to know about him by his silence.”
~He leans forward again, clearly putting in as much effort as he feels is necessary~
“I was willing to give him the first shots at me while I focused with my partner on the belts we already had, which as we stated before the holiday show where I earned my title shot, is out number one priority. But I see now that my effort is needed here too. To save this division from a champion who goes out of his way to injure his opponent and prevent a rematch and then turns around and disrespects everyone in the division. Myself, Adkins, Sniper, Bodhi, all those in that contender match. We deserve better, a champion who will fight all comers and show some backbone and some effort. We deserve a double champion. A man who shows he is capable of carrying the division to new heights. A man people will line up to topple for the boost it would give to them in addition to the belt. And so Scott Fargo … while I will maintain my composure and refrain as always from using cussing as a crutch or raising my voice and betraying my emotions … I do have something to say about you.”

“This is the face of a man with heart. This is the visage of a man who cares about the place he works and the world he lives in. So many people just assume that since we attribute meaning to nothing and worship no outside beings that we are emotionless and cold. They assume we are heathens and careless. People think that being a nihilist means you are evil or anti-life. But as we have said so many times that is not the way we see the world. Our mission is to get everyone to see the positives to a world in which there is an end. To see that you don’t need some higher power, or message from on high to be a better person. The goal should be to live the best life you can and make sure others can as well. Because we are all unified in the end and the stain of decay brought about by acts of malice and causing misery alter the content of the person. And that once we are all one in the nothingness, that stain permeates. Contaminates. The darkness will not stand for this and strikes out. Chaos and anarchy reign and the world becomes a little more horrid. There is nothing to fear about the end and there is nothing to be gained from entering that abyss with some higher status. In a way it’s our own message of take it easy. I know it’s hard to understand but look at it this way. You could be at the top of your game, getting paid, getting respect, living the life you want to … taking it easy. And you could do it without hobbling your opponents so they want to end your career. You could do it without angering your employer to the point they almost put you out of a job and took away your chosen profession. You almost lost the self-ascribed meaning in your life because you acted in bad faith. You stained your honor and your reputation.”
~He backs up and sits back on the chair again.~
“And why? To show you don’t care, to show that it was easy. A coward’s actions. You are so focused on things being easy for you so you can care just a little less, put in that smaller effort. You want good things to come to you and not to anyone else and you are willing to make it harder on them to make it easier on you. You wanted to make it easy on yourself in the long term so you took the easy act of injuring your opponent after the match was over. But here’s the deal. The best things in life aren’t easy. Just because there is no inherent meaning in accomplishments and the like, doesn’t mean that there isn’t value. You need to be willing to put in the work where needed to achieve your goals and make your life the best one it can be. By taking the easy way out you have now set up a woman ready to destroy you and end your career for revenge, a man ready to bend your limbs and break your spirit to take that item you cared so little for, and who knows what else. There is a limit to what you can achieve when you take it easy. There is no reward for being malicious and lazy. You wanted that title to come easy to you. You want It to stay with you. You believe you are entitled to the best things in life just because you are Scott Fargo. You teamed up with your mate to make life easier still. And now look where it lands you. There is every chance you will have won those titles on your own and the first defense as a team you both could walk out with nothing. Funny how that works isn’t it?”
~He folds his hands and looks down at the seat of his chair. He looks back up after collecting his thoughts.~
“But Scott … words are easy. Telling you all of this is easy. Challenging you on paper is easy. And unlike you I refuse to settle for easy. I want to be better. I want to make sure people understand who I am and respect what I do. And then they will look into who that scrappy fighter is. The man who out wrestled the champ, who made the submission expert tap, who holds two titles. They will look even deeper into what I say and maybe just a few will take that message to heart and stop worrying about listening to false prophets getting them to hinder others to save themselves. Maybe they will see that there is no need to fear and just live their best life and make the world a bit brighter. It’s all about balance Scott. And I am the man operating the scales this weekend. I am the emissary of the end, I am the beacon of darkness that pierces the veil of false bravado you put up. I am Esmur, one half of the XHF Global Tag Team Champions, and soon … XHF Phoenix Champion. I am Esmur, a man to be respected and followed. I am the envoy of emptiness, the man who will bring the Phoenix back from the ashes and make it rise once more. And you? You can go home empty handed … and take it easy.”
