The Return of Adam Reck.

THURSDAY ~~ 20TH JUNE | LOCATION UNKNOWN.

The scene begins with darkness. Two voices are heard, one being the voice of Adam Reck, finally returning to an RSW Ring at Pandemonium after months of disappearing into thin air.

Adam Reck: Lucifer. What have you done?

The second voice, a more raspy and demonic voice comes through. We believe this to be who Adam referred to as “Lucifer”

Lucifer: I have done what I thought was only right.

Adam Reck: I am not ready and you know of this. My time has not come, I have not finished my training as needed.

Lucifer: Ahead of yourself you are, Adam. I know you are too much for our training, too “good” if you could say.

Adam Reck: Lucifer, you know of this. When you took me under your wing, you knew of the athlete I was, you thought I couldn’t go through the hellish extent you presented me with.

Lucifer: And that’s why you are ready for a return.

Adam Reck: I am most certainly not!

Lucifer: Raise your voice at me?

There’s nothing but silence for a few seconds.

Adam Reck: No. master.

Lucifer: Good.

Footsteps are heard.

Lucifer: Adam. Let me remind you of who you once were.

Adam Reck: I already know. An athlete. A professional wrestler. Adam Nathan Reck, birth name of mine. Think you erased my memory or something?

Lucifer: Of course not. Why would I do such a devilish thing?

A loud and sinister chuckle is heard.

Adam Reck: The irony of that quote…

Lucifer: Quite like how they used to have an athlete known only as Lou C. Fur, how ironic indeed.

Adam Reck: So what… I return with my memory of hell intact? Go back to everything in my normal life like nothing happened?

Lucifer: Well… Yes. You see, when I took you under my wing, I made sure that people didn’t think you died or went missing. You only went along a trip around the world.

Adam Reck: They can take days or weeks.

Lucifer: You stayed in some places for a while. You can tell them that.

Adam Reck: What about Chloe?

Another sudden pause.

Lucifer: Well, by the looks of it. She’s been waiting. Waiting patiently. Waiting on you.

Adam Reck: All this time? With no contact?

Lucifer: I made sure you were still “alive”, Adam.

Adam Reck: How so?

Lucifer: I always had possession of your cellular device, I kept in contact. She’s a feisty and fierce girl, perfect to add to the Arm-

Adam Reck: NO!

Another pause, the loud tone of Adam leaves both in silence.

Adam Reck: You will not bring her here. I demand it to never happen.

Lucifer: ...and why is that? Is there still love in your heart?

Adam Reck: Are you kidding me? Of course there is, it’s always been there. I’m not a robot, mere a former mortal human.

Lucifer: Adam, I can make her like you. Immortal. Demonic. All the same person, just with some tweaks to her head.

Adam Reck: No, I cannot allow it. You’ll want her to go through the training, she’ll die.

Lucifer: I can make her immortal before the training, she doesn’t have to go through it.

Adam Reck: I rather die a thousand deaths than to let her become one of yours.

Lucifer: This is your one last chance, Adam, let her become immortal. She will join you and you two will live happily ever afte-

Adam Reck: This isn’t a fucking fairytale, Lucifer. This shit’s real life.

Lucifer: I am well aware of that.

Adam Reck: I just can't let it happen. I really want her here, but not as an immortal soul that you collected, like you have with me.

Lucifer: Adam. I’ve watched you, months on end, and you’ve excluded yourself from everyone else. You’ve walked around here by yourself at night, part of me feels bad and I’m fucking Lucifer of all people, I shouldn’t feel bad about someone’s feelings. But for you, Adam, you’re something special to me. You’re a strong warrior, a brave one at best, I have seen you go through some of the darkest of battles and come out of them with some heads over your shoulders… Literally. I want to see you with a smile, a face of joy on the general to my army. If it means I have to bring Chloe to here then so be it, I will make sure it happens… I need you to understand what I am willing to do for you, I do not do this for everyone. There are many that have loved ones on the other side and have not seen them in years, maybe decades or centuries and here I am with a once in a lifetime opportunity. I want you to take it, Adam, please take it.

Adam Reck: You’re crazy.

Lucifer: More than it, but I know when I need to be... fair.

There’s a lengthy pause and some footsteps heard.

Adam Reck: Y’know what, Lucifer.

Lucifer: Hm?

Adam Reck: I’ll consider your offer.

Lucifer: Consider carefully. I’ll give you until Pandemonium to decide, that’s when you’ll return.

Adam Reck: I better get ready then.

Lucifer: Another thing, Adam, I will be sending you back. And between then and now, that’s when you’ll have your chance to think through this offer you standby on. Heath my warning, Adam, this is your chance to tell Chloe about who you really are. Tell her about me, what my visions are and how she’ll be the queen to the General of the Army.

Adam Reck: The General, eh?

Lucifer: Army and Ring General, how fitting is a name like that?

Adam Reck: I’ll have to accept my return first.

Lucifer: I hope you do accept it, Adam.

Adam Reck: Of course I do… Give me time with Chloe and I’ll decide how ready she’ll be.

A chuckle can be heard.

Lucifer: Good. Get yourself ready, I’ll have you up there soon.

We hear more footsteps, believing that Adam has gone to prepare himself to go back to his home. But we hear a little demonic chuckle, presumably coming from Lucifer.

Lucifer: I always get… what I want, Adam.

The scene abruptly ends.

TUESDAY ~~ 25TH JUNE | DUBLIN, IRELAND

The scene begins with Adam sitting in his apartment bedroom, along the edge of his bed.

Adam Reck: Ladies and Gentlemen, the time has come. The Grand Return of Adam Reck! It's been the talk of RSW, everyone thought I'd never come back but here we are... I'm back and just in time of Pandemonium! Now, upon my return there's been some eyebrows been thrown at me. I don't know why, but okay. The first match they place me in is a 4 Way Dance of Chaos... Sure, okay, I'll take that. With Kintaru, Dexter Payne and Johnny Stylez.

Adam chuckles to himself.

Adam Reck: Now I thought those days of people thinking they were cool and "hip" adding a Z to the end of any word they could think of died in the last ten years... Apparently not when this Johnny Stylez is seemingly stuck in the past. I mean, how fucking dumb do you have to be to use THAT in your name?? Jesus Christ, some people would get on your nerves.

Adam sighs.

Adam Reck: There's also Kintaru, I've watched and I've seen what you've been doing as of late, not bad mate. You see when I was on the front, I thought I was doing something good and then it hit me... I wasn't as good as I was. I left because I wanted to give myself more training time and I have. You've been making a name for yourself but now that I'm back, it's time to steal your spotlight and take the good name from you, boy.

He laughs a bit.

Adam Reck: And finally Dexter Payne, oh the big bad man in the match... There's always one of them! Look, as much as you want to be the big man here. You don't scare me in the slightest! You may look intimidating but I've no problem taking your legs and snapping them like sticks. An outlaw isn't what you are, a dead man is more like it though.

He smirks.

Adam Reck: And if your faith in me has gone down since I disappeared... Then fear not, I'm back and I'm in it for a big game. And you see that X-Crown that's been talked about a lot? I'm going to take that and bring it to Riot Star Wrestling at Night of Champions X. Because I am Adam Reck and you can bet on the fact you are looking at the biggest star here... The next X-Crown Champion.

He gets up from the bed and leaves the camera shot, the feed begins to become static and it cuts to Adam sleeping in bed with his girlfriend, Chloe. As he lays there, a gust of wind blows through the window and one deep and horrifying demonic voice rings through Adam's head.

Lucifer: Wake Up.

Adam sits up, breathing heavily. Not having a clue what he heard, he looks around the room until a sharp pain goes through his head and another voice comes through. Adam closes his eyes to the pain, hoping it'll all go away.

Lucifer: The Day of Reckoning is coming, Adam, the Army is ready. Come. We have Vengeance to strike, we need you... General.

Adam eyes shoot open and they're red... Glowing red, a blink from Adam and they're back to normal. He falls backwards, like he's passed out. Leaving us wondering what has went down with Adam.

So, Adam Reck is less the Crow and more Spawn. Still, an interesting new direction and the smack talk at the end was good. Not the most awful promo in the world, but not the best either.

First of all, welcome back! You’ve certainly gone an interesting route to explain what Reck has been doing. The demonic stuff seems interesting, but i’m Speaking from experience, be careful not to write yourself into a corner. Have the demon give and take, maybe even take the strength away at a crucial point to cause a loss at some point, demonic possession and such is all about control. Also Vas’ Spawn reference is spot on!

As someone who has done a Vodou character for over a decade, i’ll Be watching closely to see how you go about writing this series of RPs as you establish this demonic persona
