The same backdrop as used before is here again along with the same table and general setup. Emi Sakata is in the middle with the match contract, while there is an open mic for all competitors to use for their opening statements on their match.

The reigning IJWF Champion, Emi Hirota, made her way out, clad in a dark blue suit with the IJWF Championship over her right shoulder. Bowing to the assembled before resting the belt on the table, taking out a pen before taking a hold of the microphone as she composed her thoughts for a few long moments.
Emi: It's been a while since I've performed on an IJWF brand show. And as the Champion, with Big Apple and Rose City being on their respective back burners. It didn't seem right to hold this belt, and at the same time, not be working with the promotions where it should be defended on a regular basis. So my first act is to confirm that I am indeed signed on a contract with Sakura Shoujo Stampede.
Emi took a few more moments, recomposing her thoughts before she continued speaking
Emi: As for the match, I'm aware that it's put me in a situation without the Championship Advantage, where I don't need to be involved with the pinfall to lose the belt. But getting my hands on the Championship in the first place had odds that could have gone very easily against me as well. And to be honest, considering how my luck has gone with tournaments over the last few years, I felt I was in a bit of a rut. Then it changed itself. There was luck involved that I was able to get the win, but the singles match with a talent like Lowri Moss inspired me to continue this reign. And I am more than aware that everyone who is selected to compete in this match for this belt has a resolve and spirit to take the belt from me, and I know all to well that all of them are deserving of the opportunity.
Pausing again, this time taking out a fountain pen, Emi took the contract, signing her name on the line.
Emi: And I leave you with this final thought: One opponent is interesting, two... is much more exciting, and in the words of my trainer: Let's. Fucking. Smash it!
