Hello, wrestling fans. My name is Gideon Rogers and this is Talk Tactics.
We're just in the aftermath of Pandemonium with the firecracker blast heard around the world. More on that controversial decision later on.
Pandemonium opened simply enough and we get right into a promo that says that Rob Riot will be at Anarchy 50. It is a reunion show of sorts so I'm not surprised that the surviving founder of the company would be on hand for the milestone show.
We then get into the Convicted against Last Direction. The match itself wasn’t bad, but what was curious is the head of security getting involved in the match. Does he not know that Shawna Savate is an accomplished referee and knows what she’s doing in the ring? I think he’s trying to prove something to her. Is he trying to get in her pants? Perhaps so. The Convicted won the match as expected and moved up in the rankings toward getting a title shot at the XHF Global Tag Team Champions, the AWF Icons. They’ve held those titles undefeated for far too long.
And then we go backstage where Andi Snow is dressing down D. No, not in that way. She’s explaining her anger at him for not being clear with Alyssa Lucchi that Andi was not trying to sleep with D as the circumstances seemed to make them appear. Which is true in a way. Relationships are built upon trust and communication. Failure with one or both of these things gets you matches like the one being talked about here.
The next match of the night was a back and forth nail-biter in the form of Pequeno Dinosaurio against Leon Dredd. The match stipulations shifted from favoring Leon to favoring Pequeno in the end. The brightly colored luchador won the match to win two out of the three match series with Leon Dredd.
And then since we are running promotions for Anarchy 50, we see that Chris Parsons is returning to make an appearance. It will be exciting to see what the deviant can do to spice up the show. Do you remember that there was at least one show that he booked on his own? Well, there was more than one, but I remember the first.
Nocturnal comes down to the ring and announces that he will be wrestling at Anarchy 50 alongside with another member of the Family. Who will it be? Who has Nocturnal handpicked to face so that he looks good while doing it? I mean that is what we’re looking at here. Alexander Koresh has to look like he’s still on top of his game and relevant to the wrestling fans.
So we go backstage again and this time Gabriel Tuck is giving referee pointers to Shawna Savate and is she eating up the attention? She knows what to do in a no disqualification match and is just feeding into Gabriel feeling like he can help somewhere. Go drink another beer and chase down another shoplifter, you hack. Hank at least didn’t try to make himself so...visible.
We get to the first four way dance of the night. Kintaru against Adam Reck against Dexter Payne against Johnny Stylez. Weirdly enough, Stylez didn’t participate in the match, but he did participate in the match. Does that make sense? No. Also, who in bloody blue blazes came up with the idea of the fish stipulation? It was just a weird thing. Also, I was amazed at the kind of self-control displayed by Kintaru as Shawna Savate tested her “consultation” by Gabriel Tuck on his face. I would have likely still kicked her back at the very least. The match ended with a victory by Kintaru with Johnny Stylez helping, though why on Earth did he only get involved to play Kingmaker? Why help Kintaru win the match?
We get to what I thought was yet another reminder that Rob Riot was going to be at Anarchy 50 when we realize that the Bastards will be back together and facing each other at Anarchy 50 in order to drink free upon returning home. I suspect that someone is going to die in this match in order to avoid paying the tab.
We went right into the next four way dance that this time was a contendership match for both the Anarchy and Legacy titles (since they have been defended as a single unit of late). Joe Beb comes down to the ring while displaying his brand new penis. Essentially a modified prehensile elephant trunk. While it’s small for an elephant trunk, it’s gigantic when you compare it to a normal man’s penis. He wraps it around his waist like a belt!
The match itself was vicious. Stipulations drawn from some sadistic person’s wet dreams. I was surprised to see newcomer, Mila Rader, win the night. Though Joe could have made a difference in the outcome of the match, he was focused on attacking Caleb Koresh in vengeance for his long lost penis.
The next match of the night was an absolute pounding as Alyssa Lucchi took on Andi Snow. Alyssa tried, she really did, but she couldn’t stand up to a professional wrestler. I don’t know why Alyssa was even allowed to step into the ring as a wrestler in the first place. I’m sure it was some manipulations by Esmeralda von Krauss as she had hoped that Alyssa was going to trash Andi instead of the other way around. Horrible.
Then we get a review of the upcoming Anarchy 50. I call bullshit. I do that and will cover it soon enough. Their info is out of date already since Leon Dredd is off the card.
The next match was supposed to be the rematch of Senor Vinnie against Isaiah Zepp, though it seems that the match was rescheduled for Anarchy 50. It was a real letdown that the match didn’t happen, but it’s going to raise the stock of Anarchy 50.
And then we get to the main event of the evening where D goes for the World championship against Shane Mitchell in a controversial match. In a shift from what the rest of the night had been, a wheel was brought ringside with the stipulations on the wheel for everyone to see. The wheel was spun to determine what stipulation would play out. It started out nice and violently in the boiler room and moved to the ring where it became a lip synch battle? Who in their right mind would want these two violent warriors pretend to sing? Nocturnal quickly saved the day and the match became a Japanese death match. The match carried on being fine until it switched to an Anus Explosion match and ended there.
Lip synching, anus explosion? These are not the kind of stipulations that I think should even be considered to be on a wheel for such a high impact, serious match. I don’t know why Nocturnal didn’t save the day once again, but he should have.
This was such a shameful moment that I don’t even think that the entire concept of Pandemonium will be able to survive into next year. I would say to expect annnother new ppv concept in the place of Pandemonium. The matches favored the match gimmicks more than it did the talents anyway when it should always be about selling the talents.
Well now we can get into Anarchy 50. It’s a card that has the potential to make or break the company as a lot of hopes have been set on alumni that to be quite frank, are gone for good reasons. No promos have been cut to date and soon enough the show will be hitting the air. Dead air. A disastrous show could spell doom for the entire company. I would hope to see Anarchy 51 and Shadow Wars. I heard good rumors about the main event of Shadow Wars so far.
We begin the night with Xander Joseph against the mysterious Jon Roberts. Just whoo is Jon Roberts and on a night of alumni returning to the ring, why should I care? For that matter why didn’t I see Xander Joseph at Pandemonium? Is he an alumni too?
We then get to a luchador battle as Pequeno Dinosaurio against Omar Azure. It’ll be interesting to see Pequeno taking on an opponent closer to his own size.
The third match of the night is Dexter Payne as he takes on Mila Rader. Dexter did fairly well in his match at Pandemonium and Mila won hers. I suppose if the titlematch between Vinnie and Zepp didn’t get pushed back that this would have been Mila’s shot at the titles. Maybe at either Anarchy 51 or at Shadow Wars.
The fourth match of the evening is an actual women’s match of two professional wrestlers in the ring instead of an interviewer and a wrestler like it was with Pandemonium. Andi Snow takes on Aurora Deadwood from the Family. I hadn’t seen Aurora in the ring for such a long time. Will she be able to stand up to the rising star that is Andi Snow?
The fifth match of the evening is for the RSW tag team titles. The Convicted against Apathy and Sean Libby against Parsons and Anderson. This might as well be a gimmie match for the Convicted. Just hand them the titles right now. Apathy and Sean might not even show. Parsons is worthy of a title, but his contract is running out. I hear that he might be going to another company and just raking in the profits from his ownership shares. I mean the match might be fine, but the Convicted are going to win it.
The sixth match of the night is Jaguar against Rob Riot with a time limit to the match. Both men are getting older and Riot does have another match the same night. Still, both men may need to be revived with a defibrillator before themed of the match.
Normally that would be the main event of a show, but it’s only the main event of the first half of the show. That’s how large this show is.
The seventh match of the night is Kevin Rouser against Retro Rob against Mark Force against Joe Beb in a robo-penis on a pole match. Robo-penis on a pole match? Like Joe Beb needs another prehensile penis to use in a match.
And then for the eight match of the night we have the RSW Bowl. No, I don’t know if it’s going to change the rules of the match to become something else. Harlem Halladay against Darren Archer against Natasha Harris against Dylan Erickson. This match has the potential to totally go Dylan’s way, but at his size...a lot of things tend to go his way when he puts in at least a little bit of effort in the ring.
The ninth match of the night is Hunter Valentyne against LA Johnny Stylez. Am I right in hearing that the two used to be tag team partners? They will no doubt know the way that each other wrestlers so this can be the match winner of the entire night.
The tenth match of the night is the farce that Nocturnal has planned for the night as he tags up with a member of the Family. I don’t doubt that he’ll be tagging up with Caleb Koresh to kind of show his cousin who the head of the Family really is in a show of dominance. Don’t expect quality opponents here.
The eleventh match of the night is the highly anticipated rematch between Vinnie and Zepp for all the marbles. I expect great things. That is, if the match happens.
The twelfth and final match of the night is all three of the Bastards taking on each other in order to see who will pick up the bar tab when they get back home to Yorkshire. While it isn’t really a serious match to end Anarchy 50 on, I expect someone to bleed over having to not have to pay for the drinks. Of the three, Rob Riot will probably be the one accidentally inflicting injury as his bar tab alone can reach a couple hundred pounds for a single night of drinking.
