JOURNEY TO OVERHEATED

MODERN DAY | Weaselpop’s schedule
Trevor Blackmoor’s schedule is that of someone who knows the plan, he’s always one step ahead of tomorrow and always strives to ensure that he is fully prepared for the following day’s outing. He goes to sleep, roughly, around 9pm and wakes himself up for an early morning start at 6 – ready to tend to the cattle, milk the cows and, of course, feed the chickens. Not a day goes past when this strict schedule is broken, and not a day goes past when the chickens are not fed, on the dot, at 6:45. Of course, when you are running a farm and wrestling almost simultaneously, you have to be prepared. Every Tuesday morning Trevor leaves the farm in the care of his ‘cattle nanny’ (if that’s the right term), who looks after it as he boards a 7am flight to MCCW’s Voltage location – arriving in, typically, the US at about 9:06 American time in the morning after 7.6 hours of travel. The day is then left for him to sleep, head to a local gym facility, get involved with various press conferences and shake hands (and not more than often) butt heads with producers and wrestlers alike. That then, is his Tuesday schedule complete, a stray from his ‘farm’ schedule – but still strict none the less.
Wednesday is of course the day of the show, and that too is full of sleep, gym and conference calls leading up to the grand showdown later on that night. Following success or defeat Trevor would spend the rest of the night in a local motel and head back the following morning, typically at 7am, to once more return to his farm in England and wait out the week until the following Tuesday (When it’s done all over again).
Weaselpop is certainly not one to complain, despite the serious amounts of work needed to fulfil such a lifestyle it does not bother him – it is the life he has chosen to lead, therefore he should have no problem living it (or at least, that’s how he perceives it).
Now why am I rambling on about Blackmoor’s busy schedule? Well, because it’s about to get busier. Overheated is this Sunday and Weaselpop is fighting in the main event for a shot at the X*Crown in the biggest show of the XHF Network’s calendar year. If he is successful in this detour of time, which he very much believes he will be, then he will have to fight for, and win possibly both the X*Crown and MCCW’s World Heavyweight Championship in the same night at ‘Night of Champions 10’, conquer the crown and live the life as top wrestling champion in the whole world.
Sure, it sounds impossible – but as Trevor will ensure you, it’s about to happen, he only hopes you are as prepared as he is.
TWO MONTHS AGO | Devonshire England
A print, that’s all. Left in the muddy pits near the bramble bush Trevor found an imprint of the Wolf’s paw, still wet – undoubtedly still near. It was almost as if he could smell it. He searched high and low on all fours, following the path in which it must have took. Heading forward from the singular print in the small patch of muddy grass and becoming one with the Wolf as it headed in its fiendish direction. To Trevor’s surprise he ended up near the mahogany wooden fence surrounding the herd of sheep. His eyes widened as reality sunk in and following about eight meters from where he kneeled he noticed a hole in the fence. He shouted out of frustration as he bounded towards it, rolling through the hole and entering the field…
That’s when he heard it…
Not the wolf that is, for he saw the wolf ahead of him, but the sound of a sheep in agony and fright. He bounded towards the fiend’s direction and the savage beast ran, sheep’s neck enclosed in its jaw of death. Trevor roared at it to come back but the wolf continued on its war path, dragging the poor, lifeless sheep with it. Eventually it broke through another hole in the fence, as though put there by the wolf before it had decided to attack. Next thing Trevor knew, the wolf, and sheep along with it, was gone.
He knew this was a warning message from the Wolf, and he knew that sooner or later he would have to slaughter this being once and for all – a thought he gladly embellished with himself.
MODERN DAY | Minneapolis, Minnesota
Weaselpop stood before a squabble of cameramen as they hoped to interview him a day before his battle in the main event of Overheated between himself and Subject #42. Each and every single one of them shoved a camera in his face as he entered the hotel at roughly 9:06 in the morning. Eventually a question about the beast caught his attention, and Trevor thinking about pleasing the interviewers instead of pissing them off responded with a question of his own.
Do you want a change?
The cameramen were unsure how to act, some shrugged, and others nodded. However before they could come to a conclusion of their own Weaselpop cut them off with a straight fire shoot.
I’m sick and tired of the Ascension Wrasslin’ Federation and Anonymous Xtreme Wrasslin’ runnin’ the shots when it comes to the XHF Network. So many great feds are bein’ looked past because they aren’t the ones with the ‘mainstream’ stars – Instead we’re all looked past because we’ve never held the X*Crown… I’m here to fuckin’ change that… You think Subject #42 is the right ambassador for change? He can barely cut a promo let alone wrestle a competitive match. I’m the man of new, despite me old age, and I know for sure that if I win the X*Crown at Night of Champions then I’ll not only be representin’ me own fed in MCCW but Destiny Wrasslin’, Champion and all the others that are more often than not brushed under the carpet.
Now let me ask ya again, do you want a change?
The cameramen more firmly this time answer with resounding yeses, as Weaselpop finally allows them to respond. They almost stop bothering him as he picks his suitcase back up once more and heads towards reception, ready to check in ahead of tomorrow’s big gig.
Now let me ask you, dear reader, do you too want a change?
