(Sorry for the lateness. In regards to Vinnie's health problems I scrapped what I had and worked with a different idea.)
- MONTAGE -
For the past several months, Isaiah Zepp's brother Edward has been quietly working on a project. He's rifled through the many pictures, videos, and newspaper articles that documented Isaiah's struggles against Montgomery Peterson and the BSE (Bureau of Sports and Entertainment), along with the many allies they gained that made the Zepps' survival possible. With everything collected into physical and digital files, he decided to arrange them into a video collage and dropped it onto RSW's website, after hacking into it of course.
The intro of Lupe Fiasco's "The Show Goes On" fades in with the guitar riff sampled from Modest Mouse, and as Lupe's rap begins, we first see a clip of Isaiah Zepp dropping Senor Vinnie with the Intermezzo to combine the Anarchy Title with his Legacy Title.
Alright, already, the show goes on
All night, til the morning, we dream so long
Anybody ever wonder
When they would see the sun up
Just remember when you come up
The show goes on
Still photos roll by the screen, starting with a smiling teenaged Isaiah (complete with a dyed-blonde afro, of all things) standing in a makeshift indy ring, and moving onto a shot of a masked Zepp in a lucha libre school, then his time in Seattle's Unlimited Combat Wrestling. This segues to a picture of Isaiah and Ed clearing debris from a dilapidated building, which fades into a shot of his first attempt at running a homeless shelter. Now we see Isaiah in an nGw ring, and that draws into his first debut in Riot Star Wrestling, followed by his second debut in RSW, and finally the redebut that stuck.
Have you ever had the feeling
That you was being had
Don't that shit there make you mad
They treat you like a slave
With chains all on your soul
And put whips up on your back
They be lying through their teeth
Hope you slip up off your path
A clip is shown of Isaiah kneeling in front of an American flag, and a newspaper headline slams onto the screen reading "TERRORIST?!" with his face zoomed in. More clippings flip into view, of Montgomery Peterson as he arose in political power from a public representative to Senator, a fake smile in every picture. Underneath that we see shots of the drug runners and human traffickers that actually made his rise possible. The newspaper headlines continue to shame Zepp, and concurrently he takes beatings in an RSW ring from the likes of Shane Mitchell and Xander Joseph.
I don't switch up I just laugh
Put my kicks upon their desk
Unaffected by their threats
And get busy on their ass
Isaiah continues his protests and fights with the leader of a drug ring. At the Koresh family compound, he curb stomps Hunter Valentyne onto an announce desk and calls for a rain of chairs by the fans. They oblige and cover the entire ring.
That glittering may not be gold
Don't let nobody play me
If you are my homeboy
You'll never have to pay me
Go'un and put your hands up
When times is hard you stand up
So even if they ban us
They'll never slow my plans up
Isaiah wins the Legacy Title, but loses it soon after to Kevin Rouser. Isaiah continues his out-of-the-ring efforts, building a new shelter but having it raided by a supposed government agency, which turns out to be the BSE, Peterson's shadow organization. Blurry photos are shown of a man in priest's clothing, and Peterson's top adviser named Ben Smith. Meanwhile Isaiah raises a fist on the RSW stage.
Yeah yeah, the world is yours
I was once that little boy
Terrified of the world
Now I'm on a world tour
I will give up everything
Even start a WORLD WAR
For these ghetto girls and boys
I'm rapping 'round the world for
We see an old photo with blonde-afro Isaiah ax kicking a neo-Nazi, and that segues into a clip of Isaiah ax kicking Havok during the World Title Block Tournament. A headline describes the tightening of airport security, but we see a selfie of Isaiah in a disguise and his "Vismund Cygnus" passport. Isaiah wins his block as international audiences begin to react to him. Oversees he's considered a hero, but the United States media is still swayed by Peterson, who labels him an evil mastermind as a headline blasts him with "WORLD WAR ZEPP".
Africa to New York
Haiti, now I detour
Oakland out to Auckland
Gaza Strip to Detroit
Zepp travels to Mexico and China. He stands atop the Christ The Redeemer statue in Brazil in a drone photo. He then poses with a village in Columbia, as the youngest boy holds a broken drone. Then there's a shot of a Californian suburb, as a cartel is arrested in front of Iro Waters' home with the aide of a heavily upgraded drone. Meanwhile, we see a clip of Isaiah wheeling a vat of Flint, Michigan water into Detroit.
So no matter what you been through
No matter what you into
No matter what you see
When you look outside your window
Brown grass or green grass
Picket fence or barbed wire
Dozens of local news channels depict Zepp's protest parade through San Diego, along with videos uploaded from hundreds of citizens that taped it from their windows. The next wave of newspapers show the revelations made about Senator Peterson, followed by photos taken of his battered and starved prisoners. The last shot is a redone headline with Isaiah's visage and "TERRORIST?" is scratched off for "HERO?"
Never ever put them down
You just lift your arms higher
Raise 'em til your arms tire
Let 'em know you're there
That you strugglin', survivin'
That you gon' persevere, yeah!
Isaiah raises a fist in front of Peterson's headquarters. The Zepp family stands in front of a funeral procession for Officer James Stokes and his wife, and then they hold a private vigil for Loco and Gordo, the drug runners who redeemed and sacrificed themselves. Isaiah places Loco's bandanna on his grave. A hand-written note is shown, signed Edgar Renteria Gomez, with a photo of a now-bustling community outside Barranquilla, Columbia. A picture is shown of Iro Waters running the ropes at a wrestling school. The orphaned Miranda Stokes is taken in by Detective Luciana Cortez, as both lost their families to Peterson.
Ain't nobody leaving
Nobody going home
Even if they turn the lights out
The show is going on!
We take a step back, as Peterson and the BSE take over several RSW shows and try to shut down the promotion. They attack the announcers and security, but a clip of Isaiah cutting the lights and another of him diving into the crowd to flatten Peterson at AnarChristmas breaks that up, followed by the US Army helping Big Ass Hank and referee Shawna Savante get a measure of revenge.
Alright, already, the show goes on
All night, til the morning, we dream so long
Anybody ever wonder
When they would see the sun up
Just remember when you come up
The show goes on
Isaiah, now able to focus more on his actual career, reels off a series of victories. In between the wins, he builds a new shelter, and water filtration pumps. A flashback shows teenage Isaiah celebrating with a broken pool cue, which fades to lucha Zepp removing his mask, which fades into him clenching the UCW Northern Title to his chest, which then brings us to current Zepp regaining the Legacy Title and unifying the Anarchy Title with it.
- BLOOD MONEY -
Isaiah Zepp breathes laboriously as he leans onto a giant rubber tire, dust sticking to his sweaty skin and blowing into his eyes from the harsh sandy landscape of Saudi Arabia. He sets his phone down, having just watched his brother's handiwork, and he claps furiously like Citizen Kane until he looks into the RSW camera.
Isaiah: "Bravo, Edward... I wish I could thank my brother in person, but alas. Our favorite little Von Krauss has decided to stick us in the land of Blood Money for this special show where a bunch of retirees have one last hurrah. My oh my, where could she have copied THAT idea?"
Zepp sighs and squats down. He scoops the 200-pound tire from the ground and flips it over, then repeats the process ten times to throw the tire against a concrete wall. He exhales and wipes his brow. Isaiah holds an arm out toward the camera and gestures with the other hand.
Isaiah: "You know, you don't really sweat so much here. You just feel a cool sensation as the water evaporates straight out of your skin. If you don't pay attention and stay prepared, you'll die."
He takes a swig of from a nearby canteen.
Isaiah: "The same goes for our beloved Riot Star Wrestling. The money from the Saudis must be delicious, but this is a warning sign to me. Honestly, this company has gone mad to bring all of its most combustible elements into a nation built from gasoline, least of all me whose already fought my own government! Oh but of course, we left one glaring omission off the alumni in Maxwell Soloke – the single person in our entire history that I could tolerate for more than ten minutes! It can't be because he's still rotting in a random jail cell, because we dug up every other murderous, lecherous criminal under the sun. It must be because of a certain lifestyle that our boy Max lives. Let me tell you one thing, my friends, if Soloke was at this show, I'd tongue kiss the man in front of that entire crowd while rainbows and heart balloons flew all around the stadium, to put this stone-aged society in its place!"
A half-smile, half-sneer wears on Zepp's face. He's going to let you all decide how serious he is about that claim. He walks back towards his bags and chugs the rest of his canteen.
Isaiah: "Regardless, this show is not about that, and it's not about any of you, it's about these..."
Isaiah lifts the Legacy and Anarchy titles into view.
Isaiah: "We've been waiting so, so long to finish this, Vinnie. Do you still want them? Do you want it all!?"
He throws them into the dust and steps over them.
Isaiah: "Well you shouldn't! What you SHOULD want is the fight of a lifetime! Because that's what you're going to get! You should want to show these corpses that they're better off in the crypt! They are relics of a bygone era, but they'll drag you down to their level if you aren't prepared. I've lost blood, sweat, tears, and friends to keep this place a haven for the sightless, for the voiceless, and for the lost. I'm not going to sit idly by and let them ruin this. They're going to learn, Vinnie, that you either live in our future or die in their past! I'll etch that in your blood if I have to! I'll bring out the monsters inside your soul to prove it! Do you hear me?!"
Zepp calms himself down, but he leans in close to the camera and repeats the sentiment.
Isaiah: "Do you hear me?"
Cut.
