|Trigger Warning: Sensitive Subjects Involved|
It was the hottest week of the year, temperatures blistering into the 90s but feeling like they were at 100+. To him, this meant it was time for Hell Week. A special week of the year that he, Tommy Sirius and his best friend Aaron Holiday would move all of the trainees drills and workouts to a ring outside. To an empty spot in the compound with no trees nearby to offer shade and just far enough away from the fifty foot cliff that lined the east side of the property so it couldn’t offer shade. The training sessions went on a three on, one day off, then the last three the hardest of the six. Every day of said training lasted every hour of daylight, 12 hours. In total, he beat… broke… and pushed every one of their trainees for 72 hours. This was the time of the year they saw exactly who wanted this, who had the gaul to leave the compound and move on to be one of the best in the world. Most didn’t make it past day three, they got their day off and never come back. Those that did come back, a lot of them found their bodies limits and physically couldn’t finish. And Very, VERY few finished the week on their feet.
Young Woman: *looking around her as she breathes heavily, bent slightly with her hands on her knees but still standing* That...was intense. I thought I was going to die at some point.
Tommy Sirius: *doesn’t answer at first, instead he scans over the eight other trainees who were either laid out around the ring, the dirt around the ring or hanging into a trashcan roaring out their meals of the day* There is a reason we call it Hell week.
Tommy lets a slight grin spread over his usual stern look as he looked down on the face of the young woman. The only trainee still able to stand.
Tommy Sirius: Look at this… you outlasted every one of these big tough guys. Most have years on you, most will be their second or third hell week. But you, in your first year. Was left standing. You have joined a very small club.
Young Woman: Oh really? That is exciting. I guess it was always being in sports most of my life, who else is in that club?
Tommy Sirius: I have had professional athletes not make it through Hell week. It’s all about your mental fortitude and strength. The other ones… A guy named Salem Morningstar, who is now about to debut for Global Championship Wrestling and Tommy Holiday…
It was almost on cue that they could hear the roar of a truck as it breached its way through an opening into the woods, it’s headlights cutting through the falling dusk and flashing past their faces. Tommy looked down at her as her eyes lock onto the windshield, a sly smile on her face. Staring for a few seconds she lets her eyes divert from the truck and back to Tommy.
Young Woman: So… do you think I could make it on the Network then? Since the other two have? Ooh, could you imagine. Kira Blackheart, Queen of the XHF.
Tommy chuckles a bit, his vision still on the truck. The obvious occupant still has yet to exit.
Tommy Sirius: If you put as much hard work and spirit into that when you debut then when you do here… then yeah, I can see that. I hear SSS has the best women's division in the world.
Kira Blackheart: Japan? You think I could get booked in Ja…
The truck door pops open and Tommy Holiday pops out, quickly shutting the door behind him and walking around to the tailgate. He pops it down and begins rummaging through some things, his face telling an emotionally stressed yet solemn story. Tommy looks back at Kira, noticing the look of a hungry dog at a butcher shop. The left side of her lips pinched tight between her teeth, a subconscious tell of debauched thoughts.
Tommy Sirius: No, you definitely won’t go anywhere if you try and take a ride with him.
Kira jumps startled, not expecting Tommy to read her evident body language. Or much less say anything about it.
Kira Blackheart: Wha… wait what do you mean?
Tommy Sirius: I love that boy like he is my son. But you have no future with him, I promise you.
Kira Blackheart: How? He seems to have everything together. He’s making waves, he is competing for the X-Crown title. Sure he’s a bit off kilter and passionate… but…
Tommy Sirius: He destroys anyone around him. He doesn’t play well with others. How much do you know about him?
Holiday moves across to the other side of the bed of his truck, yanking a cooler open and pulling a beer from it. He quickly pops the top off the side of his truck and returns to rummaging around whatever objects are hidden from their sight.
Kira Blackheart: Just from what I’ve seen on the Network, never talked with him.
Tommy sighs for a second, stepping out of the training ring and walking towards a building about ten feet away. He motions for Kira to follow to get away from the ears of the other trainees. She quickly follows behind him.
Tommy Sirius: Almost three years on the dot, give or take a few days. A girl he had loved for most of his life killed herself, he found her. He found her note.
Heartbreak can quickly been seen over Kira’s face as she turns and looks towards Tommy.
Kira Blackheart: Oh my god...that poor…
Tommy Sirius: I’ll stop you there, that poor nothing. Those two grew into being the most toxic people for one another. The fed off one another's depression, anxiety and pushed the other further. Her was more mental manipulation… his was physical and emotional. It was the sickest game of cat and mouse I have ever seen in my life.
A nearly horrified look spreads across her face, yet part still seems in disbelief.
Tommy Sirius: He started off a really sweet and soft boy, to the point his dad thought that… well. Lets just say the word sissy was thrown around a lot. Not much love came from him, but Tommy there idolized him. Around the time he turned 18 he went absolutely batshit. His idolization of his dad turned into this self destructive worship. He started abusing heavy drugs, stopped training and trying for wrestling. He wanted to be the baddest outlaw that walked the earth. His girlfriend, was on board for a while. She abused the drugs with him, stole and fought along with him. But then, Tommy started sleeping around with other women and she began to lose her control over him.
Tommy could read a sense of anger rising with Kira.
Tommy Sirius: But don’t get things twisted, he was just as guilty about the same type of shit. He would bring up her past as a way to make her feel like she had to have him, or she would have nothing. She would play situations so that he would do fucked up shit to people, because that is what got her panties wet. It all turned Tommy into a certified sociopath, into a monster. Then came the day that she realised, Tommy wasn’t her puppet to play with. He wasn’t her monster to sick on people anymore. So, figured there would be no getting him back… she wrote this sad manipulative suicide letter to him and walked out in those woods and swallowed two months worth of medication. That letter I will say, got him to get off pills. But he still drinks, and when he drinks his medication don’t work and he becomes what the network has seen. A ruthless violent individual. And it doesn’t help, that he found some crusade to destroy people in her name… with that god damn letter. She played a part in making him how he was, and with her last breath… cemented that monsters into being.
Kira’s face is blank at this point, unable to display all the thoughts and emotions she has churning through her. But a thought caught her, and she snapped her gaze to Sirius.
Kira Blackheart: So… you all know he is what he is now. What’d you call it, a sociopathic monster. So you still let him get into wrestling, giving him the avenue to unleash his twisted crusade on people?
Tommy Sirius: *chuckles at the thought of letting Tommy do anything* Yeah hun, you don’t know Tommy very well. He was dead set on going back to wrestling, there was nothing that was going to keep him from fulfilling his dead sadists girlfriends last wishes. That, and I figured he would charge into XHF swinging and someone would put him in check and make him chill out a bit. But… I guess I underestimated just how violent he is.
Interrupting the conversation a man walks up, looking nothing like any of the trainees but more of an average guy. Walking up to them he grabs Tommy Sirius’s attention.
Man: Hey boss, we got everything set up for the promo now. Just waiting on Holiday.
Sirius nods and the man makes a quick return to the building.
Tommy Sirius: Stay away from him Kira, the things that go on inside his head… there is no point in trying to make sense of it. *Turns and cups his hands over his mouth* HEY TOMMY, COME ON OVER. THEY’RE READY TO SHOOT.
Kira nods at Sirius, watching as Tommy downs the last of his bear and tosses it into the back of his truck.
Tommy Holiday: All hail Seth Dillinger, King of XHF. A modern day seer, my savior!
The camera opens up with a shirtless Holiday with his hands spread out, his chin tilted up as he shouts out his fanfare for Seth Dillinger. Stopping he slowly brings his gaze to the camera, putting his hands together as if in prayer.
Tommy Holiday: I don’t know what I would have done without you Seth. Because of you I know that my quest to be something different has been my issues all along. And now because of your wisdom I can stop telling everyone im special and stop trying to be special, and realise that I am just another cog in the wheel of the Seth Dillinger machine! Praise you Seth, Praise you!
The false happiness falls from his face as a snear rises from the left side of his mouth. His eyes narrow as his shoulders draw in and he looks deep into the camera.
Tommy Holiday: This cog though Seth, this cog refuses to run in time with your machine. Do you know what happens when a cog stops going along with the machine? It shatters the cogs around it, it brings the machine to a screaming halt. And what happens to the man at the controls? He is uprooted from his seat and sent face first into the road he had just been roaring across. One cog Seth, that’s all it takes.
He brings his hand up, using his middle finger to count off his emphasis of the number one. After a second he lowers it, shuffling a bit before continuing.
Tommy Holiday: If that had been me who attacked you, in the mask, I would have creamed my pants. I get off on the violence, the punishment. Right Seth? First of all, if it had been me to attack you… I wouldn’t have wore that mask… I got one of my own. And one that if you had seen, there would have been no question as to who did it. So, while it was fun to watch… no I didn’t cream to it. But I tell you what Seth, if I blow a load in my pants while punishing you inside that cage… I promise you I’ll let you know. *kisses at the camera*
Holiday begins to chuckle a bit, the switch coming very abruptly.
Tommy Holiday: Do I underestimate you Seth? No. This match will hands down be the biggest challenge of my life. I know you have earned that title, I know you have fought and won your reign as the X Crown Champion. I just know that when I say I will do something… it will happen. But you know this already, despite what you said. You know that you won’t walk out of Night of Champions the X Crown Champion. You’re a smart man, you know that ever King loses his head eventually. So, you needed to think of a way to save face right? You needed an excuse as to why the new guy, Tommy Holiday took your title. Well if I were you, I would have hired someone to attack me on camera also… just so I could tell the world I had been weakened before my big defense.
Grins at the camera and winks.
Tommy Holiday: And oh boy. We can’t forget about the XHF Grendel, Subject 42. The big bad monster that nearly squeezed Weaselpops head into a tantrum of a retirement. The monster that smashes men, breaks them in half. Pounds on a keyboard but can still manage to write… Family.
Holds his hands together at his heart, making a pitiful face and bouncing around a bit.
Tommy Holiday: Oh man, please don’t play with my heartstrings. I could barely handle the Family bit with Lilo and Stitch. Please oh please don’t start letting the monster slowly regain parts of his life before the Top Secret Government Experiment turned him into Powders roided out cousin. And Oh lord...PLEASE… I won’t be able to handle it if he started regaining his intelligence and wearing glasses. That would make me way to giddy.
Holiday stop with the sarcasm, looking dead at the camera.
Tommy Holiday: And Seth said I was unoriginal. Yeah, Subject 42 is a beast. He is inhuman. Chances are, he may just grab all of us and smash us into a gory fusion of blood and brain. NA… he’s a man, a big man with the money to hire actors to hype him up. Don’t worry though, The Outlaw will show you all… he is human, just roided out.
Holiday chuckles a bit, rolling his eyes.
Tommy Holiday: And Zolothach, Fuck you. I got all excited because I thought they were releasing a trailer for a new Mortal Kombat. But NOOOO… just one of your hollywood multi-realm promos. I will admit though, once them tentacles started popping out...I got a little worried. The last video I watch that involved tentacles, was animated and quite fucked up. But alas, you just killed someone again. People want to get up in arms with me smashing the back of someone skull in and putting them in the hospital, but this bitch is straight killing people and ain’t shit said. Oh… that’s probably because no one pays attention to your garbage. Probably why that little promotion you were in went under. So what happened? Did you take you a heavy dose of LSD and go play Call of C’thulu too long? Still haven’t come down from that high? Come on down to Night of Champions and LARP, you won’t enjoy how the night ends for you.
Tommy pauses for a second, holding a hand out questioning.
Tommy Holiday: Did you really think your little threat would work. If you don’t walk out with the X-Crown there will be… consequences? What are you gonna do? Call up Greg Adkins and make him beat us up? {No Means No} us? Fuck you… and fuck your threats. But oh wait… we don’t have to worry about her guys. Zolothach was recaptured and on her way to imprisonment.
Tommy cups his hands over his mouth.
Tommy Holiday: SPOILER ALERT, she’ll be at NoC. She gonna kill some people, cut apendanges off be there to get her ass stomped by Tommy Fucking Holiday.
Rolls his eyes again and waves at the camera as if brushing her off.
Tommy Holiday: Hey, Nausicaa Suzuki… where you at? You been quiet since Overheated. You were the one I was looking forward to twisting up with. I was really going to enjoy you smacking me around, maybe even choke me a bit? You want that gold, step up bitch. Because you are going to leave a lasting impression on how much of an actual threat SSS will ever be in XHF.
Stares at the camera, an eyebrow raised.
Tommy Holiday: But sorry everyone, not fun witty shirt this go around. Holiday has to take this one a little more serious. I have finally been given more then just card filling Jobbers. Don’t worry though, I’ll get some good photoshoots done with that pretty belt around my waist and make some great new merchandise for all of you to buy…. You hear that Draven? I’ll have some more gear for you to buy in secret so you can prance around in front of mirror quoting Buffalo Bill…
With that, Tommy smiles and walks off camera...
