Hello, my name is Gideon Rogers and this is Talk Tactics. A radio program where I discuss my thoughts on the events going on in Riot Star Wrestling.
Anarchy 50 was a reunion show and brought a few legends out of the woodwork. It was exciting to see the likes of Jaguar and Rob Riot go at it again.
The night began with Esmeralda von Krauss introducing a new General Manager in the form of Brian Hendricks. Will he actually help turn RSW around to one of safety and such?
He made a couple of announcements in canceling matches. The RSW Bowl went down and so did Hunter Valentyne versus LA Johnny Stylez. I'm not surprised that the second match went down. Hunter did cut a promo before the show, but it was nothing but rabble rousing bullshit that should (and was) ignored. Well, Chris Parsons didn't ignore him, but seeing as how he was leaving for GCW. We don't really count his opinions really.
After these announcements, Esmeralda made at attempt to plea to our sensibilities by trying to say that her husband did nothing wrong and for the fans to write their representatives to try to get the death penalty off of the table. I think they should both get the needle to be perfectly honest. People, don't fall for her bullshit.
The first match of this heavy card was a near thirty second plow down of Xander Joseph against Jon Roberts. I don't know who this Jon Roberts was and I didn't really care. He added nothing to RSW except for a quick "blink and you'll miss it" win for Xander.
Then we go backstage to where Dexter Payne is muttering about how he's going to hurt and/or kill Mila Rader to make some sort of a point. I think the point being that he shouldn't have to be facing a woman in the ring. Shocking since this being one of only a few women that Dexter has seen since getting out of prison. Maybe he should be more worried that he would be more interested in having sex with her than fighting her. But, I suppose we will see at the match.
The next match of the night was Pequeno Dinosaurio against Omar Azure. It was a quick match, but not nearly as quick as the first match. Pequeno comes away with the victory proving to Tommy Onions that Dinosaurs defeat Dragons all day.
The third match of the night was Dexter Payne against Mila Rader. This was an exciting match as it looked like Mila Rader was going to take this match in stride, but a mistake turned it into a brutal beating. Mila showed she still had some fight in her, but it wasn't enough to take the win. Still, she has a title shot at the Anarchy/Legacy titles in her back pocket so it wasn't a total loss.
Up next was another thrashing as Andi Snow demolishes a member of the Koresh Family in the form of Aurora Deadwood. One would even say that she acted like she wasn't even present in the total one sided match. Almost not worth talking about.
The fifth match of the night was the tag team championship. A ladder match. The match was tainted right from the start as Chris Parsons and Marcus Anderson send a video from Atlanta, Home of GCW, to say that they are not coming to the show. Shock, shock. The O'Rourkes dismantle the Convicted in response to the insults leveled by Parsons to lay claim to the RSW Tag Team championships.
Not that there's any other RSW tag teams to defend the title against as Parsons leaving, the Convicted were on short term contract. It really leaves the O'Rourkes to defend a title without a real division. I suppose there's always the XHF Global Tag Team Division.
And then we get to what I would consider to be the main event of the first half of the night as Jaguar takes on Rob Riot in the ring. It was an epic bout worthy of any main event as the two went at it with Jaguar eventually coming out on top. We leave the end of the match with Rob Riot challenging Jaguar to a third match to break the tie between the two. Will the Jaguar accept the match?
The second half of the night begins with a Robo-Penis on a Pole match with some of the more...comedic...wrestlers of the company. Kevin Rouser, Retro Rob, Mark Force, and Joe Beb went at it in the ring with Mark Force eventually getting control of the robo-penis which must have been based upon Joe Beb's replacement penis as it was nearly of that size and shape. I suppose the match was fine as an opener for the second half of the show.
Next up was the Koresh spectacle that turned into a far larger spectacle than I had previously thought. I had figured that Nocturnal was going to show his dominance to the world and his own Family in particular. It looks like Nocturnal would go out alone against his challenges and would face the mighty team of Devin Stone and Hell's Bouncer.
To my trained eyes, these two didn't look like they were even talked to about making an appearance much less actually wrestling a handicap match against Nocturnal. Not that the match happened when Deathstroke and Brian Hart take the two out when the lights went out and come down to the ring to attack Nocturnal. Former allies attacking Nocturnal. Why?
Okay, Nocturnal defeats these two men and so now the Koresh Family come down to the ring. Caleb essentially says that he set up the match for the night and has a new opponent for him and that if he was Family that he would crush his opponent.
This opponent turned out to be Nocturnal's adopted daughter, Summer. What the flying fuck? Why would Nocturnal destroy his own daughter in the ring? When he refuses, the Family turns on him, and attacks him. Yeah, they had already decided in advance that they were going to do that. The scene ends with them taking Nocturnal away. Good riddance I suppose.
We get to the Winner Take All match, but first Isaiah Zepp decided that he needed to talk to Esmeralda about adding three stipulations to the match. After riling Esmeralda up, she decides to let him have his way.
The three stipulations? That he wanted a no holds barred and no count out match. That he wanted Vinnie to leave RSW if he lost. And he wanted...Cactus Pete. No, I don't know why.
The match was over with quickly enough and Senor Vinnie was sent from RSW. After Vinnie leaves, Isaiah reveals that the stipulations were null and void after the match and that Vinnie can return when he wants. He just wanted to anger the man as to make victory easier to get.
Finally we get to the main event of the night where the Bastards face one another with the loser of the night picking up the bill. However, it seems that Billy Fowler used the night to get out a bit of deep seated anger from being the butt of so many jokes from Rob Riot. It was vicious between the two of them while Frank Windsor kept trying to separate the two of them while winning the match. In the end, Rob Riot would take the victory over Frank Windsor while Billy Fowler tries to get in to break up the win. The three left as friends, but you wouldn't think that during the match.
So the night left me with a single question. With Nocturnal being taken down by the Koresh Family and Brian Hendricks being announced as the new General Manager. Are we going to finally get some kind of organization from management instead of two people fighting over the steering wheel? I doubt it. I look forward to conflicts between Caleb Koresh and Brian Hendricks with Esmeralda von Krauss doing nothing more than stirring the pot.
This brings us to Anarchy 51 as we get back to some kind of normalcy. We have a couple of the alumni that have stayed behind and a couple of new hires to fill in those who have left due to one reason or another.
The night starts out with Ultimate Destroyer taking on Steve Murdock. This match stands to be the most violent of the night. I guess the entering Ultimate Destroyer looks to destroy everything in his path. Sounds fairly mindless, but sure. Steve Murdock has been working to destroy everything in his path already so this one should be a great match, especially if you like bloodshed.
The second match of the night is Joe Beb as he takes on the man listed as Cleaver. Joe Beb...penis. Cleaver is some kind of mercenary that had served a stint in AIW. Now that AIW has closed, Cleaver finds himself a new home in the form of RSW. Good luck against Joe Beb. You'll need it.
The third match of the night is Apathy as she takes on Pequeno Dinosaurio. This should be a good match in the night as Apathy's veteran skills are put to the test against Pequeno's sharp rookie skills.
This brings us to the fourth match of the night as Marcus Anderson takes on Andi Snow. Considering that Marcus spent Anarchy 50 in Atlanta, I'm not even sure why this match was even booked. Is Marcus not signed on with GCW to be able to continue to tag with Chris Parsons? Either way, he still has a long way to go to fill the shoes left by his father. I give this one to Andi Snow.
The fifth match of the evening is Dexter Payne against Eoin O'Rourke. I think this one might be a one sided match. Though Eoin will try, I just think that Dexter is a stronger wrestler.
This brings us to the main event of the night as Mila Rader takes on Isaiah Zepp in a Winner Take All match. I know this is for the Anarchy and Legacy titles, but is it also for the weird bracelet that commands friendship with Cactus Pete? Zepp has had it relatively easy these past few shows. I think he's going to find himself a heck of a challenge in the form of Mila Rader as she works to prove herself after her hard loss against Dexter Payne.
All of this is as we look toward Shadow Wars III in Los Angeles, California. I was given two announcements to make that will twist how people work tonight. Two title challengers.
For the Winner Take All match series, Pequeno Dinosaurio is going to get the nod. Who will he take on? Mila Rader or Isaiah Zepp?
For the World title, it will be Andi Snow! I know she will have a heck of a battle whether it will be Kintaru or Shane Mitchell after Night of Champions. Either way, it's a title shot that's been long in coming.
