The woods are dense and the heat is even worse this time of year. The training equipment is spread out with in a clearing, the sun beating down in patches the trees aren't covering. Weights, bars, other various things are set out as Sakura Hase leads her team mates into the clearing. She motions for them to neal. They do as they're told.
Sakura: "(We made the challenge last month to the AWF Icons to challenge for the XHF Tag Team Championships. But last month something odd happened. Maverick said he retired. But only... well, that was a blatant lie. Because he competed in Destiny Wrestling and is now in IRW. But what Drago Santiago's partner chose is none of our concern. Not anymore. But what is of our concern is his new tag team partner. That of Killa Kai. And this new stable, The Cure.)"
Kikue raises her hand before Sakura nods.
Kikue: "(Hase-sama what is this equipment and why are we out here?)"
Sakura slaps Kikue hard in the face, leaving her hand print on her cheek.
Sakura: "(You dare question my motives? You dare question my leadership?! HUH?!)"
Kikue: "(No! No Hase-Sama! i'd never question you... n-never. I was just wanting to know why we were out here...)"
Sakura slaps her again.
Sakura: "(We are fighting for one of the most prestigious tag team titles in the world! Do you understand me?! We are fighting for the chance to submit our names, our legacies into history! I will not let your insolence or lack of training be our downfall! Do you hear me?! I will not let us fail for a lack of trying! We're going against two very formidable opponents. Sure one has been an opener in the oldest federation on this network while the other has been a stable in the midcard in various federations here on the XHF network and has won numerous titles from independent promotions across the globe. Hell he even made it to the finals in End of Days!)"
She starts pacing back and forth.
Sakura: "(But despite their success, despite what they have accomplished separately, this will be the first time they've ever teamed together. Yet for us? We've been a team, a family, an army for nearly two years now. We were voted SSS Tag Team of the year last year. We are no slouches when it comes to tag team wrestling, taking the AWF Icons to their limits last time we encountered them. This will be a very tough battle for Sakura-Gun, but i know you two will not fail me. I know i will not fail you. Because if i fail my comrades... my sisters... then what good would i be? No, no... failure is an option, it is a choice... it always is. But for us... for Sakura-Gun it is no laughing mater. We are no laughing mater.)"
Sakura starts walking around the clearing, hands behind her back, she looks almost like a general riling up her troops.
Sakura Hase: "(I have chosen me and Mei to challenge for the tag team titles. But that's not because i misjudge you Kikue, it's not that. But it's because Mei has... shown her worth more. And as of me? Well i'm a former Goddess of Sakura Champion. I won the main title of my promotion unlike a certain Drago. I wrestled and won the first ever match in SSS history almost two years ago. I am SSS. WE, are SSS. And now that we are in our home, in our ring! With our army... you better pray that we let you off easy.)"
Sakura gives a quick smile before she motions for Mei and Kikue to get up.
Sakura: "(We're going to train now, come on get up you two. Kikue, you stand watch and get us what we need. Mei you and me are training for this match.)"
Kikue goes and sits down near their bags as we kick in a montage of Mei and Sakura training. They lift weights, run laps, do push ups, ect. What ever you could think of they are probably doing it right now. From light to dark it goes as they train and practice. All three women giving their all to make sure they're ready for their opponents this upcoming show. Sakura and Mei lean on a tree as the hot summer day is close to an end. The bright patches, now golden orange fill the area as they regroup.
Sakura: "(We did good work today. But tomorrow we have to work even more. Even harder! Now you both know i'd never let you down. I'd never let either of you do something i wouldn't do. Tomorrow morning training begins even more! Get ready, our opponents are going to be tough, but we'll be even better!)"
