Biography: In his mid-20s, Raymond T. Starr was a promising young wrestler making waves on the independent circuit and with high hopes to match the buzz that seemed to follow him. But before he could cash in on his burgeoning success, a serious knee injury sidelined him. The rehabilitation process did not go smoothly, and complications with follow-up surgery kept Starr out of the ring and struggling to make peace with himself. Facing an uncertain future, Starr considered moving into acting, and some early roles seemed to indicate a promising future ahead on the screen. But Starr struggled with the turn his wrestling career had taken and the lack of control he felt he had over his life. His fight with depression only deepened when, three years after last stepping foot in a wrestling ring, a car he was driving careened off a road, the accident sparing him but taking the life of his wife, Kristina. More dark years followed for Starr, as he fled his life and went south to Mexico to escape all reminders of who he had been. One thing he could not escape, however, was wrestling. Two-and-a-half years ago, Starr fell in with a a group of luchadores and began training in the art of lucha libre. In the ensuing months and years, Starr got himself back into wrestling shape, became a more exciting and versatile wrestler, and, most importantly, rediscovered himself and his purpose. Now Starr has returned to the United States and caught on with Riot Star Wrestling in an attempt to finally fulfill his promise.
