Hello this is Gideon Rogers and I come to you with the last edition of Talk Tactics as Riot Star Wrestling gears up for its final show at Shadow Wars lll. I have heard some whispers about the why, but I'm also not going to spill the beans on this one.
I don't know how we would get to Shadow Wars with half or more of the roster not making it to the show or underperforming. It was chaos!
Let's get into it.
We began the show with Esmeralda Von Krauss going off on a tangent about missing talent, but that she's only concerned with the missing Shane Mitchell. I'm sure that he's probably following the trail left by Kintaru to find Ellie, but that's not good enough for Esmeralda. She presses Gabriel to track down Mitchell or “Her World Champion” or else she will deal out some grisly fate. I don't doubt her words, fans. Gabriel gets to work as Esmeralda leaves.
The first match of the night is Ultimate Destroyer as he takes on the debuting Raymond T Starr. It may as well been a bullfight as Raymond worked to avoid Destroyer’s attacks and took him down with practiced ease. Bull burgers anyone?
It was important to note that Shawna Savate was a little shy during this match and let Raymond get away with quite a bit in her anger at Destroyer for attacking her last week.
The next match is the start of the “no shows”. Eoin O’Rourke not only doesn't show up for his match against Steve Murdock, he reveals that he and Apathy have kidnapped Joe Beb and duct taped him to a flagpole. Pure cowardice if you ask me. Anyway, Steve Murdock goes home with a win and the Apathy/Joe Beb match is cancelled.
Then we get into the most one sided match I've seen since...well since last week. Marcus Anderson slaughters Dexter Payne in a match that features so many headshots that it wasn't funny. I wouldn't be shocked to see Dexter come out of this match with a concussion. How is Marcus on such fire after defeating Andi Snow so soundly? Who knows. Still, it counted for something as Marcus will go on to face Shane Mitchell for the World title come Shadow Wars.
We check in on Gabriel Tuck as he runs into deadends in trying to find Shane Mitchell. He ultimately leaves Sticky in charge as he leaves to track the champion down.
We then go to Brian Hendricks as he informs Pequeno Dinosaurio and Martin Montana that their match has been moved to become the new main event. Probably for the best since all of the champions in the building are not in the building.
The next match of the evening would have been the Hangman taking on Jaguar in a tune up match for the Jaguar except for Rob Riot ruining the match with a couple of well placed chair shots. What the heck, Riot? Can't wait for your eventual showdown?
The next match is another blow out as Mila Rader is no where to be found and Cobra Kid gets an easy win. Who the heck is the Cobra Kid again? Maybe he deserves a title shot...or maybe he's why Mila is missing.
Speaking of Mila, the FBI break into her suite and discover several weird things going on. Not the least of which is a dead body in the bathtub. A homage to the long closed nGw and Ruby Walsh? What has Mila gotten herself into?
And then we get to the main event, where in the only good match of the night, Pequeno Dinosaurio defeats Martin Montana. Only one good match in the entire night. It's shameful really.
We then get to Shadow Wars lll. A show that has had more revisions than Star Wars.
We will open the show with Eoin O’Rourke taking on the returning Havok. I’m really surprised that Eoin wasn’t fired along with his wife after the stunt that he pulled at the last Anarchy. Instead, he’s being fed to the perpetually title hungry Havok. I wouldn’t be shocked to see security attack Eoin before the match just to make sure that Havok comes out the winner.
Second on the night is the Ultimate Destroyer against the fallen Isaiah Zepp. My have the mighty fallen that they have to face the rabid dog of the RSW in the form of the Ultimate Destroyer. I would say that Isaiah should have an easy time of this match, but the real question is where was he when he was to face Shane Mitchell at the last show? A chance to defeat Shane to become the real number one contender turned down? I would imagine there’s some kind of drama there to be had.
The third match of the night might be another blow out as Steve Murdock takes on Dexter Payne. After Dexter was squashed by Marcus Anderson at the last Anarchy, is he even going to be in any condition to face the sadistic Steve Murdock? A concussion is no thing to be laughing about, just ask Mark Force.
The fourth match of the night is Apathy against Joe Beb. The question isn’t really how violent is this one going to get. The question is, is this match even going to happen? Eoin and Apathy went out of their way to kidnap Joe Beb to make sure that the match didn’t happen at the last Anarchy. Who is to say that they don’t do the same thing again? Just booking the match doesn’t guarantee that it will happen. See last Anarchy for details.
The fifth match of the night. Big Ass Hank against Gabriel Tuck to determine who will be the Head of Security after the match is done. Has no one told either of these two that the ppv will be the final show and so whomever wins will still be out of a job after the match. Being that I doubt either one of these “wrestlers” will hear this before the show, we can just continue as if they will never know. Hank is a brute and Gabriel has wrestling experience at being World champion at some hick place. This could be an interestingly violent match up. I just can’t wait to see the look on their faces when they realize that it was all for nothing.
The sixth match on the card is Raymond T Starr against Martin Montana. Now this could be a great match, though I have to wonder about Martin Montana. Will he even show up for the match or will he be in a psych ward by the time i\the show comes around? He is awful unstable for being a wrestler. Though, I suppose it takes a certain amount of crazy to be a wrestler in the first place. Raymond showed a lot of potential in his first match up by baiting the bull that is Ultimate Destroyer. I wonder if he has a game plan of where to go after RSW closes. May I mention GCW here? No? Well, I did anyway.
And now we get to the real meat of the night in the seventh match on the show where Pequeno Dinosaurio takes on Mila Rader for the Anarchy and Legacy championship titles. Pequeno has a chance to take two title belts to GCW with this match and Mila has the chance to just take them anywhere if she wins. This is...if Mila Rader even makes it to the show with the FBI looking for her with that dead body in the bathtub at the last Anarchy.
Then we come to the final main event of the night and RSW in general when Marcus Anderson takes on Shane Mitchell for the World championship. C’mon, folks. This match has been done before with Shane absolutely shaming Marcus in the ring. I mean it is true that Marcus has been on a roll with the last two events, but how can even he compete with the mastery that is Shane Mitchell? I think that Marcus is going to get a rude awakening when he steps into the ring with Shane and this last title defense is going to be like an opening match on any other Anarchy.
Well, that’s all the time that we have for tonight. It’s been fun sharing my thoughts with you, the fans. Until someone else decides that they need to hire me for this show, it has been Gideon Rogers with Talk Tactics.
