Derek Gunslinger is an overbearingly proud Texan, constantly speaking in Western verbiage, wearing a variety of cowboy hats, and talking about duels, wrangling, etc. He thinks of himself as a sheriff of the wrestling scene - although he hypocritically doesn't always hold himself to the same standards that he does everyone else.
While Derek is not a fan of same of the newfangled styles of wrasslin', he's willing to accept them - so long as "there ain't no shenanigans."
It's hard to get past the Western verbiage to understand Derek Gunslinger's true trail leading to this point. He's appeared at several small promotions over the course of two decades, trying to keep everything in order - or, at least, his version of order. The first promotions he was spotted at were in El Paso, Texas - hence the assumption that he was raised there.
However, a select few have noted slippages in his western persona, leading one to believe that there may be some other heritage to Derek Gunslinger than the western one he proudly holds.
