Outside the View in Atlanta.
A lonely figure is perched on a wooden bench, dressed in Jean's, leather jacket and work boots.
"So this isn't the best place to start this story, first we will need to rewind a few months or so"
The figure just sits still in the same place almost like a statue.
"Time! People say that time is a great healer.
Bollocks! Personally, it is people that want to look smart. Time, I have nothing but time. It almost seems like forever since I last stepped into the ring On a regular basis. A lot has happened, endured so much pain. In a way, I have been torn apart. Somehow I have managed to struggle and fight to rebuild my self."
For a brief moment, the figure shook his head if you blinked you would have missed it.
"I am on the verge of starting the next chapter in my career. Unlike before, I don't have the backing of friends or family. Due to the heavy losses to my family this year. I find myself the last living member of my family. After Lucas brutality attacked Heather. She spent months in intensive care before finally losing the will to carry on. While is was being treated for her injuries, Lucas was gunned down in the street after an armed robbery.
As for my friends, Bobby was finally found in a flea pit of a room, appears that he had passed from an overdose, Damn the needle was still plugged in this vein. Cade had been committed to an Asylum, with no sign of improvement. Cole had decided to return home to his family, possibly in fear that something would happen to him next."
Reaching down the side of him, the figure picks up a bottle of water, unscrewing the lid before taking a mouthful.
"At one point, I was beginning to think that I was a magnet of bad luck, maybe it was just Karma's way of kicking me square to the temple. Either way over time I started to move past the doubt, Beginning to focus on rebuilding my broken body.
Oh yea, did I forget to mention that. While all of this was circling me like a pack of rabid wolves. I was in the middle of my quest, to be World champion for the first time. In doing so, it would make me a Grand Slam Champion. Somewhere, somehow I lost focus. Let my guard down, so focused on the world champion, I left myself open to another hungry competitor. One that was willing to do whatever it takes, literally anything. Like attacking me from behind, brutality beat me down and taking me out of commission."
The figures head falls down, almost in shame of what had transpired.
"So for the last few months, I have been rebuilding my body, driven by the lust of vengeance. Almost consumed by the thought of payback. As much as I would relish in the damage I would cause in the name of Vengeance. What would be left after this mission has been completed? Maybe a different line of thought would be needed, a longer-lasting mission. One that would take longer to complete, one that would be more fulfilling in the long run. Maybe it is time to focus on my Legacy, and how I will be remembered years later. A legacy isn't always defined by championship reigns and defined by just by wins and losses. This in part is what is drawing me back to the squared circle."
The figure turns to look towards the entrance of the View. A smile slowly creeps across his once emotionless face.
"So I have just officially signed my contract with Global Championship Wrestling. Why? I know many have asked why would I join GCW. I was at the last RSW show. It was meant to be turn match to the company, however, due to unforeseen circumstances, RSW was closing down. As I was about to leave the arena that night, I noticed that Chris Parson was making the announcement that he has bought the back library of RSW. I was a paying fan in attendance at Onslaught 2. I first hand watched the level of talent that GCW has testing myself against the best the world has to offer."
The figure stands up and takes a step forward before turning towards the entrance.
"So I am in Atlanta ready for my debut at Onslaught 3. So the next chapter begins here.
After all of what I have had to endure over the last six months. Looks like I have a big challenge directly ahead of me, Arch Stanton. Another newcomer to GCW. At first look, I will find myself at a disadvantage, my opponent is bigger in every aspect. Rumour has it, he has more in-ring experience than me. On paper, it looks clean cut that I will end up losing to the bigger more experienced guy. One thing I have come to realise over the last 3 years, no matter how big the guy is, it isn't a done deal under the bell rings at the end of the match. Just Dylan Erickson about the last encounter that we had, he threw everything at me, somehow I managed not to just pin the giant that night, but pinned him twice. That match signalled the last time that the fans of RSW saw the giant in the ring. As for the experience side of the match. I have competed against the likes of Rob Riot, 'D' and Chris Parson in the past."
The figure walks toward the entrance of the building, slowly making his way through the mass of people at the lunchtime rush.
"This might be my first match here in GCW, my second after an extended break from the ring. Rest assured ring rust, will not be an issue. To be honest, I know nothing about Arch Stanton, over than what has been posted on the official site.
I will be arriving in the arena, looking to make an impact in my match. Onslaught 3 will be ground zero for me. Time, definitely seem to have time ahead. Time to plan my vengeance, after all, payback is a dish best served cold! Soon enough we will soon come face to face!"
The figure turns towards the building and slowly walks through the main entrance.
"History will remember this day, as my return to the ring, more importantly, the debut of Havok in the GCW!"
