1. What's your real name?
Rob Hill. Robert if I'm in trouble. Hill if I'm playing sport.
2. When did you begin Fantasy Wrestling and how long have you been doing this?
It was 1999 or 2000, I can't remember which but it was definitely G-Fed 1.0 because I remember them doing the upgrade. Now, that makes it sound like I've been doing this for 15 years, but I was totally inactive between early 2003 and mid 2011.
3. Which one of your characters (assuming you have more than one) is your favorite and why?
Obviously General Testy van Testington.
Naa. I'm a one character man. Although Rob Riot doesn't always behave the same way in each fed. He does comedy in WrestleWars, mystery in RSW and romance in nGw. In PWA he was a quasi-cultish nutcase, and in GCW his life was an unrelenting tragedy. It gets hard to remember which line of fantasy I'm working sometimes.
4. What's your favorite character owned by another player?
Bernie's characters make me piss my sides regularly, particularly Frank Bucket. I love that guy. I'm a big 'mark' for Valora Salinas and Morcant Davis, which is my RSW bias. But for me personally it's RB Cardone and PT Merciless just because of how involved Rob Riot is with both those guys. I feel like I know their story as well as I know my own.
5. If you could own a fed (different than your own if you own one) that's on this site past or present, what would it be and why?
I'd love to have owned nGw during its peak. Or PWA during its peak. Both of those feds were nailing it. But I wouldn't trade in RSW for anything, I'm very proud of it.
6. Who was your favorite feud with and why?
This is a toss up between PT Merciless and RB Cardone, and I'm going to go with Pete purely because that feud's been running longer and has involved an attempted murder, a 'who shot Pete' mystery, one of the protagonists being set on fire, both of the protagonists falling 80 plus feet off a big screen, several hospital stays, character deaths and all manner of twists and turns. And although it's currently parked, it's still not over. If you ever lose the use of your legs and have nothing to do but read this site for a day, go and read the RPs. There's about three films worth of stuff in there now.
7. What feds are you currently in? Are you looking at expanding to others?
Riot Star Wrestling, Next Generation Wrestling, WrestleWars and New Edge Wrestling. And no, no more, because being in that many as well as co-writing RSW's shows is already a stupid amount of work. I need to learn to say no.
8. In a perfect world where you had time to write whatever you wanted, what feds are you not a part of that you would like to join? Or rather, what feds interest you?
I'd have joined No Limit Wrestling if I had any more time on my hands, just because Fowler is involved in the running of it and I like to wind him up as much as humanly possible. Plus the first e-fed I was ever in back on GFed was called No Limit Championship Wrestling, so it would be like completing the circle. Which would mean I'd have to retire. So fuck that!
9. Have you been in a feud so thick with emotion that you felt as much anger toward the Handler as well as wrestler?
I think it's no secret that I had something of a falling out with Rip Bash in nGw. I don't normally pay too much heed to wins or losses because I enjoy writing stories, but for some reason it always mattered more in nGw. I lost a couple of title matches to him which I really didn't think I deserved to lose, and he was semi-staff at the time so I smelt a rat. It all got a bit nasty for a week or two and then I think we both realised we were being a bit stupid about the whole thing. We were getting on fine before he left the site.
10. If you could improve the efedwrestling.com site in any way (without returning game elements), what would you do?
I'd buy it, or have Jesse buy it, and try to make the whole thing more cohesive and competitive. New handlers would have to start at a feeder fed or NXT style environment and work their way up. Give the players something like a 'career' game where they progressed over time. And we'd advertise for new handlers on Facebook and similar. Keep the game alive!
Every fed owner has a wish list for handlers, and sometimes even a wish list of characters from those particular handlers. What is your wish list if you owned a fed or were recruiting for one?
I have virtually everyone I've ever wanted in RSW right now. I'd bring in David Dreadful, John Kolwalski, Ian Lenton (the real one), Mookie, Jaguar, Retro Rob and Tyler Severe. And Dark Ice, obviously.
11. What do you do when you're not efedding? Other hobbies, job, and such? Married, single, kids?
I'm self employed and co-run a financial advice brokerage. I'm also in the world's laziest rock band. I do a lot of writing. Not married but living with my girlfriend, and no children. I wouldn't know what to do with children, they hate me.
12. What is your favorite fed?
Riot Star Wrestling. Obviously.
13. Ok. A movie is being planned with Rob Riot who do you think would best be able to play this person?
I'd get Christian Bale in. There's a very vague physical resemblance and I think he'd get the Patrick Bateman style dark humour down perfectly.
