1. What's your real name?
Click the link for Rule of the Dice at the bottom and I'm sure you can figure it out.
2. When did you begin Fantasy Wrestling and how long have you been doing this?
Late 1998. I started in my freshman year of college, running a fed - North American Championship Wrestling - by having guys in my dorm create characters and then I would write the matches. This was all off-line mind you, I posted the results on the door of my room. It wasn't until a few months later (early 1999) I discovered the e-fed wrestling community online, and moved NACW to Angelfire. (and it's still there, believe it or not: www.angelfire.com/nf/NACW). I gave up in 2000 because life.
For some reason I still don't understand, I picked up again in 2012 here on FedWars (sorry, eFedWrestling).
3. Which one of your characters is your favorite and why?
KD Bacchus is my go-to (and he's an evolution of one of my first characters), but the one I've had the most fun with and still see the most potential for is Kim-ill.
4. What's your favorite character owned by another player?
There are plenty I love, but my top three in no particular order are KWYJIBO, Mick Mabel and Hank Sokolov. They were so much fun to write matches for because they had such distinct and fun personalities.
5. If you could own a currently established fed, what would it be and why?
Nope.
Well maybe Island of Misfit Wrestlers. But just so I would could run that last damn show and then burn the place to the ground.
6. Who was your favorite feud with and why?
I think the only person I ever feuded with was Valora. We kept getting paired up everywhere.
7. What feds are you currently in? Are you looking at expanding to others?
Happily I am fed-free.
But I will admit I have the itch to get back into it. I have two ideas for feds I would love run, but I just can't bring myself to commit the time and the energy to it. One of the ideas would be another whacky silly organization like CLAW (but not CLAW, CLAW is done), the other idea is quite different and possibly too ambitious (no, it's not another strategy game, or a video fed or a sim fed). One of these days I may share my idea so someone else can use it if they want.
8. In a perfect world where you had time to write whatever you wanted, what feds are you not a part of that you would like to join? Or rather, what feds interest you?
See above for ideas of feds I would like to run, but honestly there isn't anything currently happening I'm interested in. It needs to be something different - I will always be there if ISLA happens again, and I've always thought about maybe joining one of those zombie games, but as of right now I've no interest in a straight wrestling promotion.
9. Have you been in a feud so thick with emotion that you felt as much anger toward the Handler as well as wrestler?
I've been insanely pissed at many people many times for both in and out of game reasons. But that's just because I'm a jerk. I'm very good at not showing it online.
10. If you could improve the efedwrestling.com site in any way (without returning game elements), what would you do?
No offence to LAL, because he put a lot of work into this site, but I think he needs to pass it off to someone else - either bring in another Administrator or sell the whole thing. Life happens and Logan has moved on (or is in the process of doing so) like many of us do. No one faults him for that. But there is a small group of dedicated folks here who needs some new motivated blood at the top to keep it going, and to give any hope of growing.
11. Every fed owner has a wish list for handlers, and sometimes even a wish list of characters from those particular handlers. What is your wish list?
I think the guys we had in CLAW when it ended the first time was a pretty damn great list - they were the guys I wanted, anyway: Max, PT, Vastrix, Pauly, Mick Mabel, Pierre Boheme, David Havok, Summeroff, St Charles hell, even Syxx had his place. Some other great guys who should have been there include BrainScratch, PenguinPyro and Megameat, and then there's the nGw guys who came later like Scarlett Rose, El Flamingo, Sir Lionel de Montbar, RDJ and Baron Vendredi. Oh man, if the stars aligned and all those people could come together at the same time, I would be a happy man.
Oh, and the guy who wrote the Black Teletubbie promos in ISLA. They were fucking beautiful.
12. What do you do when you're not efedding? Other hobbies, job, and such? Married, single, kids?
I'm a humble public servant for the Canadian Government. I communte about an hour and a half to and from work each way. I have a beautiful wife, a wonderful son about to turn 3 and a little girl on the way. I'm taking classes to get an IT diploma. I blog and write, and I have a couple of manuscripts I really, really hope I will finally get (self) published in the near future.
So yeah, these are the reasons I don't have much time to e-fed anymore.
13. What was your favorite fed?
CLAW obviously, though the old NACW has the nostaglia factor. My favourite fed I didn't own was the old Tiny Lister-loving nGw.
14. Ok. A movie is being planned with your characters. Who do you think would best be able to play this(these) person(s)?
This is easy.
KD Bacchus is Stuart Townsend circa Queen of the Damned, with Kenny Omega as his stunt double. Hell, if Kenny has the acting chops, he can just play Bacchus for the whole movie.
Kim-ill is Bobby Lee (of MadTV fame).
Johnny Bishop is Johnny Saint, thought if you have to get a real actor, go with John Dunsworth (Jim Lahey from Trailer Park Boys).
Paula Brown/Spitale is Biff Naked.
15. If and when will you return to e-fedding?
Seeing my name pop up in so many of the OOC interviews has definitely tempted me to make another go at it, but I honestly don't know if I have the time. Depends on which day you ask me. Today? Chance is less than 20%.
