1. What's your real name?
My real name is Tom.
2. The name Moonchild is not one of your wrestlers. Why did you select this name for your profile?
I was born on a full moon in the early 80’s and my zodiac sign is Cancer in Moon as well. I believe in Astrology and that our signs define who we are. For me Moon is in Cancer and it’s strongly placed. The Moon rules Cancer, so it is in its own sign. Thus I have amplified lunar qualities of emotion, empathy, and intuition. I’m more likely to be strongly driven by emotion and influenced by my own ever changing moods, as well as the moods of the people I interact with.
Thus the name MoonChild.
3. When did you begin Fantasy Wrestling and how long have you been doing this?
I got into E-Fed’s in 1997 and joined R.O.W with my friend Steve, Travis, and John (Baron Vendredi) in 1999. English is not my first language and when I first started role playing I could not accurately articulate the stories I had in my head for my characters. My role plays were not super long and often had bad spelling and grammar mistakes.
As the years progressed my writing improved as did my status inside R.O.W. In 2001 John and Travis took over running R.O.W for the original owner and I started helping them out with graphics and match writing. I dropped out of the Fed for about 2 years due to high school sports and a busy life schedule. When the R.O.W closed down for a 4 Month Period in 2003 I decided to take over control from John and Travis who bowed out right before we all started college.
From that point on I ran R.O.W from 2003 to 2007 with an entirely new group of role players I recruited on my own. I eventually built a good staff around me and we had a great run until I had to get more serious about school and finishing college. With no one to pass R.O.W off too I shut the Fed down.
The R.O.W of the past and the one that you all have come to know was very different but I did my best to integrate the past version of the fed with the current one and intend to integrate more of the past into the current storylines when and if I ever open R.O.W / W.E.C.W again.
To explain how the modern politically charged concept of W.E.C.W / R.O.W’s alternate universe or “MoonVerse” as Vastrix named it came to be, you have to understand my life. I graduated college in 2008 right when economy became a shit storm and our country went into a recession. I had to move back in with my parents and spent the next two years in Detroit struggling to find a full time job in the worst economy in the U.S. It also didn’t help I picked a crappy school to get a 3D Animation and Game Design degree in a state with no such industry.
During this time I became extremely political and I also fell into a very depressed funk. Then one of my best friends who got me into my biggest hobby, Comic Books died from the Swine flu. He had recently lost his job and didn’t have insurance. So when he got sick he didn’t want to go to hospital because he already owed them a lot of money for a past visit.
Needless to say I didn’t react very well to losing this friend I’d known since I was 16 years old. After another 6 months I made a crazy decision and moved out to California by myself. I bought a one way ticket to San Jose and moved in with my old College roommate.
My life transition, adjustment, whatever you want to call it was not easy. I didn’t have a car and had to do everything on foot but I feel it built a lot of character. I fell back into E-Fed’s due to not having any friends and a lot of free time. I joined G-Fed and started role playing there for a little while but none of the Fed’s results were to my taste and I quit.
The biggest reason I wanted to get back into E-Fedding was to start writing again every day. I wanted to write my own comic book script and felt that E-Fedding would be a great way to finally get my writing skills where they really needed to be to take on such a large scale project.
After finally getting a serious job in San Francisco and moving in with my now wife I found FedWars. I attempted to open R.O.W back up in 2012 but didn’t fully understand the rules of the site and had my federation locked. LAL refused to unlock R.O.W unless I paid him money and at the time I needed every penny I had for food and paying bills and couldn’t justify spending the money on something I didn’t even know if I’d enjoy.
My life experience and the whole incident with LAL sparked and inspired the entire idea behind the setting of what was E.C.WC at the time and then became W.E.C.W / R.O.W. I set Wrestling Federation in an Alternate Universe where the U.S Economy spiraled out of control under leadership of Republican President John McCain and Chaos ensued.
CWO was nice enough to let me have free reign and control of his E-Fed and I ran with it. Eventually I was able to talk John into checking Fed Wars out and joining R.O.W again. The Roster grew tremendously with probably the best role players I’ve ever had the privilege to work with in my entire experience E-Fedding. Those first 7 months were probably the most rewarding in terms of creative writing and creative interaction with other people I’ve ever had.
Eventually Vastrix Joined and after a month of working with him I felt he was the right guy to take over W.E.C.W for me so that I could open R.O.W back up. We decided that the two E-Fed’s would exist in the same universe and that there show’s would rotate every other week crossing over like comic books do in the Marvel Universe.
This worked exceptionally well at first and it seemed like the roster was really enjoying it. Sadly the two of us began not seeing eye to eye on storylines, match results, and the overall concept for the universe as a whole.
I want to say first and foremost there was nothing wrong with how Vastrix wanted to write his shows and his universe. It just was not jiving or meshing with the way I was writing my shows and the universe I had created. Lack of communication and differences in how resolve personality disputes between roster members was what caused inevitable rift between us.
Think the biggest difference though in how we worked was that I loved to be inspired on a weekly basis by my rosters role plays and what life in San Francisco was throwing at me before sitting down at the computer to write out my shows and storylines. Vastrix on the other hand is a Fed Head who loves to plan way in advance and stick to hard storylines.
Vastrix was also comfortable writing storylines with real life U.S political representatives and leaders that were very dark and heading down a violent road which I was not comfortable with. He also wanted incorporate a great deal of science fiction and magic into the universe which I was fine with as long as it didn’t make its way into the ring during shows where it would become public knowledge to the entire world watching at home.
He decided to let that specific genie out of the bottle in one of his shows with my character in a match against the Baron in which the Baron killed my character Takuma Sato without my consent or knowledge that this was going to transpire. The match was full of Magic and Energy attacks that resembled something out Dragon Ball Z with our characters flying above the ring. I’m no longer angry about it but at the time it was extremely frustrating.
Still looking back on the 13 month run it was the most fun I ever had role playing and being a Fed Head and I don’t regret a bit of it. I hope that Vastrix and I can possibly work out our difference and work together again.
To get back to the question though lol… I been doing E-Fed’s on and off for 16 years.
4. Which one of your characters is your favorite and why?
Tough question to answer really…
I think my favorite character to role play with was Ronald Washington Aka “The Reganator”. It was the type of character that could only exist in MoonVerse. A super old X Vietnam Vet that looked like Clint Eastwood. Super conservative retired General Motor’s line worker who lost his family during the Riots of Detroit that took place during the E.C.W.C Riot Rumble event. He literally worshipped Ronald Regan and created an alter ego called the Reganator in order to fight crime, communism, and Rebel of Society lol.
I also loved role playing with Takum Sato and I think most people know me on here for using that character for my more serious runs. He is a pure face character but I got a chance to turn him super heel after Vastrix took over for me in W.E.C.W. The whole storyline with Father Nathan damaging his heart by using his own finishing move on him was brilliant. I think Kronin, myself, and Vastrix developed that feud beautifully. I think my favorite thing that came out of all that was incorporating Dr. Summeroff’s Blob mythology into my own storyline for Sato. It really helped me produce some H.P Lovecraft style role play’s that will always be some of my favorites.
Another one of my favorites which I have not used too much on here is LuLu Bigg’s. RDJ and the good Dr. Summeroff got a little taste for him when they first opened NGW. One of my biggest regrets looking back on my time spent in FedWars was not participating more as a role player in NGW especially during RDJ’s and Summeroff’s era. LuLu is a crazy character and was the type of character that I would use to really psychologically fuck with other handlers.
5. What's your favorite character owned by another player?
Another tough question but looking back on things after taking this long of a break I have two favorite characters. During my time as a Fed Head I had the privilege of reading the adventures of Kronin, Valora, PT Merciless, Dixie Clement, Eric Dillinger, Baron Vendredi, Chulun Bold, Jumping Jack Burton, Allen Anderson and countless others.
That being said, when I go back and read old role play’s it’s always K.D Bacchus and Brother Abishag’s role play’s I find myself cracking up to and reminiscing about the good old days. I guess I was very fortunate to have such a great group of guy’s and it’s what I miss the most.
6. You own ROW/WECW and the World. Both praised as groundbreaking feds on this site. Will we ever see more from either?
I think so, but I don’t know really when it will happen. Currently I’m recovering from a vertigo attack I had while driving to work that I was hospitalized for and from working 60+ hours a week between two jobs the last 7 months. I also do two different Pod Cast shows with Baron V which also take up a great deal of time.
I’m down to one job again though and I’m starting to get the itch to come back again. It all depends if some of the guy’s I’ve mentioned above would be willing to come back again and be a part of WECW / R.O.W.
I never really stopped thinking about storylines and I have big plans for if we ever start it back up.
As far as the World I would love to bring it back but realistically I only have time for one Fed. I would consider opening The World back up if there was as much interest as there was when I first opened it before closing it due to personal issues I was having in my real life.
7. If you could own a fed different than your own, what would it be and why?
There have been a few in the past that I would have loved a crack at running. Water Hole Wrestling comes to mind first. I thought the concept was excellent and had a great deal of potential. It being based in Detroit, revolving around alcohol, along with feeling that I have a good understanding of RDJ’s and Dr. S’s writing styles I know I could do a good job going for what they had originally imagined.
I also would have loved a shot at writing Steam Punk City. It’s one of those great concepts that I felt my imagination could have ran with it, but that my gaming degree could have developed and made it more practical and role play friendly.
NGW? Yeah I take a shot at it…although Scarlett Rose, RDJ, and DR. S are a tough act to follow and that’s a lot of pressure I’m not sure I’d want to deal with.
8. Who was your favorite feud with and why?
My favorite feud I’ve ever had was the feud between Takuma Sato and and Kronin’s Father Nathan O’Connell. Sadly I feel it’s a feud that didn’t see full fruition because of us calling it everything quits in the middle of it.
Probably the most memorable match I ever had on here though was my nGw World Title Shot against Rob Riot. It was extremely well written and even though Takuma Sato lost I felt satisfied with the overall match and that I was able to push Rob to have to do his best in order to beat me.
9. What feds are you currently in? Are you looking at expanding to others?
I am currently in Zero fed’s. If I were to join any fed currently the only one that would interest me is Riot Star Wrestling due to the quality of the results and the quality of the roster.
I am always on the outlook though for a brand new fed with a good writer behind it willing to put in the time do the job right and put the same effort his roster puts into their role plays.
10. In a perfect world where you had time to write whatever you wanted, what feds are you not a part of that you would like to join? Or rather, what feds interest you?
In a perfect world all the below mentioned feds would be active and running.
Riot Star Wrestling
Water Hole Wrestling
Absolution
CLAW
Steam Punk City
The World
R.O.W / W.E.C.W

11. Have you been in a feud so thick with emotion that you felt as much anger toward the Handler as well as wrestler?
Only with Vastrix.
12. If you could improve the efedwrestling.com site in any way (without returning game elements), what would you do?
The number one thing I would do without a doubt is create competition for the Fed Heads by allowing the E-Fed Wrestling community to rate each fed by voting once a month. This would rank the fed’s properly, create competition again, and fuel interest amongst the community. The vote would happen once a month and all the Fed’s would reset to a 0 rating on the first of every month. Competition is the number one reason why joined FEDWAR’s. We need to bring the war element of the game back. Right now the only members competing are the role players.
Another thing I’d like to see implemented is a way for Fed Head’s to invite people to join there E-Feds now that the contract system is gone.

14. What do you do when you're not efedding? Other hobbies, job, and such? Married, single, kids?
Well I work in IT full time for company I’m not allowed to speak about and I work part time at a BitCoin company where I repair and refurbish bad bitcoin mining units. I also do a Pod Cast on Comic Books called Pencil and Ink Reviews www.pencilandinkreviews.com/ . Whenever I have free moment I try to play video games and watch movies and documentaries. I am married to my longtime girlfriend a currently do not have any kids.
14. What is your favorite fed?
Out of all Fed’s I’ve ever participated in as a role player I would have to say nGw.
15. Ok. A movie is being planned with Takuma Sato who do you think would best be able to play this person?
Takuma Sato could only be played by Bruce Lee.
16. Ok, you can admit it. You thought I was gonna bait the heck out of ya, right?
No not really, and honestly I’d like to apologize for being a little over top this past year. The stress of work caused me to dip into the Bourbon way too much and I said some mean things I probably shouldn’t have said to you in chat in front of other members of the community.
That being said I think you can admit you been ass to me at times as well especially during my last stint in nGw and with what went down during that final week when we were still working together. I’d rather just put it behind us at just say that it’s probably best we never co-manage a universe together ever again lol. I plan on cutting back on my drinking and being more creative in the New Year and I hope maybe we can work together again one day.
17. So of late, we have seen you join several feds, only to quickly drop out. Is this because of time factors or because you're hiding from me, eh? You can say because work's ramping up and you're too busy to roleplay...we'll believe it. And, we'll also think you're ducking me. I can handle a Moonchild loss, but can you handle a Vastrix loss? Hmm? (So okay...maybe a little baiting)
Reply:
Yeah work at my second job had slowed down and I thought I’d be able to swing 2 or 3 active characters but it wasn’t the case. Work picked back up and I just couldn’t find the time to role play.
This job I have right now is really exhausting and nothing like the job I had in San Francisco. When I come home I barely have the energy to do the things I need to do for the Podcast and the things I like to do in order to keep my sanity.
My real name is Tom.
2. The name Moonchild is not one of your wrestlers. Why did you select this name for your profile?
I was born on a full moon in the early 80’s and my zodiac sign is Cancer in Moon as well. I believe in Astrology and that our signs define who we are.
