Hello, AWF Members!
*Waits for you OOC to say "Hello Kuroi!" at the computer. I know it's coming. For fuck's sake, Dylan yelled at a sign up sheet before.*
I know you are excited about our new belt, the AWF Around The Clock Championship! You probably also have a lot of questions like, when are we going to have our first match? How will it be booked? And what prize did Hype get for correctly guessing the kind of belt being offered?
My answer? Fuck Hyperion.
But Hype is right. This belt is highly inspired from WWE's 24/7 belt. Am I ashamed? No. WWE stole a crap ton of ideas from the XHF, and at least I didn't spend thousands of dollars for this belt design.
But back to the belt. The AWF Around The Clock Championship is an ANGLED belt. This is not a belt like our others in that you don't role play for this belt.
So here's how this works:
- From the last show to the next show (and for the first show, Prestige 46), you will send us a segment where the wrestler of your choice pins someone anywhere. In the ring or not. (NOTE: Being the champion is giving us permission to being pinned in someone else's segment.)
- For the first show, you can use anyone who agrees to be the one pinned. You can ask Teeps to use Jordan Cassidy. I'm also giving permission to use Copycat to be the one pinned.
- The winner will be the one who gives the best segment. A good segment will be something creative and takes into the totality of the circumstances.
What this means is:
- Understanding the card placement. If Ryan Young is the AWF ATC (Around The Clock, silly goose) Champion and I'm Copycat, I'm going to have to come with a VERY creative segment in order to have Copycat beat Ryan. He's not going to have to just waltz in there and knock him out. Not happening.
- Understanding the champion's character. If Ryan Young isn't the champion, I'm not going to write in the segment that Ryan Young is eating a pint of Ben & Jerry's while watching Gilmore Girls when Kuroi comes in for the assault. He wouldn't do that. (...or would he? :thinking)
- This kind of belt allows for some cute antics, but understand there's a limit.
Other rules:
- You can only send one segment per show per HANDLER. (For example, I can't send one for Storm and one for Kuroi.)
- We aren't going to have animals win. No cat champions. (You've heard me, Mongo. Keep Tequila Kitty II at bay.) We don't even want a copied cat as champion.
- Please, no fart/poop jokes. We need some standards.
- We reserve to use your segments sent in, even if you don't win. It helps makes some things interesting.
- The admins will do our best to preserve your character and if all challengers' entries are unacceptable, the champion remains.
But you might ask, how does the champion retain?
- Easy! You make a segment yourself! Go through some steps in order to make sure you retain. Go into your locker room, lock the door and make sure no one else stays there until everyone goes home? Go for it! Hire a bodyguard? That's your choice! Have a close call? Sweet!
Also, please note this rules will change. Possibly without warning. Please keep a close eye to these rules so that your hard work isn't for naught!
