Ok so first and foremost I am a bus driver, without a license ... Mr. Stark won't let me learn, makes me use the web shooters. Night 1 I used my power on Hype and Mongo expecting Mongo to die and because at the time I suspected Hype more than anyone, nothing came of it ... odd. I used my power last night to cause anyone targeting Seth to hit H2f and anyone targeting H2F to hit Seth. Honestly my reasoning was Seth made himself a huge target with his comments and having been given some item so I assumed H2F was scum and would target Seth and tried to get her to kill herself. So by that reasoning Bobby aimed at H2F and got Seth.
I'd also like to note Mongo confirmed Bobby is town by his power (if we trust Mongo, and in this case I'm inclined to ... just barely) and Bobby found needles on Seth. Needles are indeed indicative of the interrogation of Doctor Strange by Ebony Maw in the movies. This put me in an odd spot as I LOVE the Thanos comics and in them, Ebony Maw has a silver tongue. He can convince anyone of anything with enough time to talk to them. I at first thought this matched Seth wanting to be investigated by Mongo early because Maw would be able to lie to Heimdall and not be detected ... but in the movies this is NOT a power he has, he is the science guy with telekinesis. And this would also have allowed him to talk his way out of H2F's lie detector which he obviously did not. He was ok being checked by H2f ... but then the stones got used to remove her vote and force his onto Draven. And then H2F got a result that he was lying about being the Ancient One. Another odd result.
Instead the scum targetted either me or vasty for some reason. I do find it INCREDIBLY odd that Mongo and Seth both copped to having either very powerful roles or items given to them and yet neither has been targeted. Did nobody notice that Seth was out here running the game his way and Mongo from the start was admitting to an investigative role and yet they aren't dead. Weren't even targeted it would seem.
We know Seth used the gift Ryan gave him to kill Dunne, I'm willing to bet the mafia kill was on me since vasty was actively under suspicion and more useful alive so Dunne likely targeted him with his power (which btw according to the way it was worded was only a strongman for NIGHT vig attacks.
Ok let's go back to day 1 and let me try to figure this stuff out using science!
So we had some RVS, Mongo train starts, Mongo immediately claims his lie detector power ... making himself a target ... that scum didn't remove. Odd. H2F begins trying to get characters out of people and Mongo alignments. Mongo wants us to say I Am Town to check our statements, H2F apparently needed straight up I Am Iron Man moments to work on. Seth starts up a discussion on the soul stone, talks about sacrificing for it, then about faces and decides NOT to do it, then starts trying to get everyone NOT to talk about it ....... um ok.
h2f reads as strong town to me right now. DT looks mostly good for at least bringing up the Soul Stone thing. So does johndoe -- I like that he's the only other person to engage in mechanical speculation with me about what to do with the Soul Stone. It feels like scum are maybe avoiding talking about the Soul Stone because they don't know whether it's the correct play or not?
Which makes me FOS: Hype, Dunne, Ryan, Bobby
Seth actually was using the soul stone as a guide on his suspicious. Though Ryan and Dunne and Bobby have been cleared (assuming Mongo is town...) so ... not on the money with this one.
Puts on his cape and proceeds to look FABULOUS.
I am burdened with glorious purpose. I also see a slight flaw in Seth's plan, if we never sacrifice someone for the soul stone, and big Ballsack chin kills us all, Thanos can just sacrifice one of his minions to get the souldbstone. With all of us dead, he will easily be able to collect all the stones with no resistance and *snap*.
Then this post goes up and after this Seth suddenly doesn't want to talk about the soul stone, it's in the future ... again ... weird. Hype says I'm sexy. HYPE SAYS I'M SEXY!!!! SEE MAY! I TOLD YOU!
we can also pass stones between people who we think are town so that we get multiple uses out of it. The ability to revive a dead townie ALONE should be crazy.
Imagine that we lynch town today. Whoever has the Time Stone should revive that townie. Then, pass the stone to them. Then that townie can revive another townie. Etc. The circle goes on. We run the risk of scum blocking it somehow I guess? But this game seems almost hilariously unloseable if town is smart and coordinated.
This is dangerous and honestly looks scummy, put this suggestion out there hoping it happens and then you know EXACTLY who to kill as scum to get the revival stone in your hands. Scum block it and get the stone by just killing the revived townie the next night or set it up for a vig to take the stone and then kill him. Remember the stone goes to whoever killed the holder. Ok Randy being new, making jokes, Draven being confused and noncommital ... vasty chimes in and insult Seth, who doesn't like that ....... good to hold that thought for later.
Seth then initiates the Mongo: I am Town chain. For the record, while she didn't INTEND to play along (very suspicious ...) H2F DID say the phrase Mongo could check
oh good, Asgard and not Kree. Though I have to think us each saying "I am town" will not get a truth or death response.
Dread playing along with Seth ... and yet was the first one to go. Dunno what to make of that.
People saying "I am town" will result in just as many scum as people saying their characters. Except the character angle may be easier to catch in a lie later. And while everyone is strongly hinting at their character (seriously DT, I said Xmen because it's clear who your claiming) no one is out and out saying it. If mongo can check facts, he can confirm when people state their characters. If they say I am black widow but are in fact not black widow, that should come back as a lie just as fast as I am town but other town may be able to figure out you're not black widow on other clues.
In retrospect this was h2f telling us HER power and trying to get people to say something to her not to Mongo. Or at least her claimed power. And I suppose was trying to draw Hype into claiming Black Widow so she could counterclaim it ... though he is Gamora ... then Dunne comes in and basically shouts I AM SCUM ... WAIT NO! with his being suspicious. Then a bunch of people arguing over Dunne/Dylan ... and Dread dies. Still don't get that one.
Then Dylan goes, and it should be noted ... he was able to survive a night kill 1 time, could not be offed by a day kill, and had a role disguiser? Does that mean he couldn't be tracked or ID'd by his power? Or that he could hide another person's role? NVM just googled it ... he could steal a player's identity if he predicted they would die overnight and they did. We pretty much got Dylan down the only way he could go down ...
It is weird that Seth just up and claimed for no reason though. Seems awfully odd to claim your character just to tell us there's 3 scum left. Could have done that without claiming the character. Honestly the character claim makes me think more town ... But the whole issue of Bobby being confirmed by Mongo and then finding out you had needles and H2F claiming you lied about being Ancient One ... it makes it VERY hard to just take your word. Here's the deal. Right now either Mongo is fallable, or Bobby and H2f are lying. So if H2F is dead and comes up town ... Seth is FOR SURE mafia and I'd look at Draven being in cahoots with him using the stones to apply their trickery. If she is scum ... take a good hard look at Bobby ... and maybe Mongo. However ... right now the only play I can make is...
