Portugal Breaking News
José Rodrigues dos Santos: Good afternoon, Portugal. Welcome to the "Jornal da Uma". The biggest news of the day is that Our Living Legend is set to compete at the XHF Rumble!
The announcer does a quick pause... We can hear a voice in the back.
???: Go on!
José Rodrigues dos Santos: *uhm uhm* Our Living Legend, Zézé Taborda, will compete for the most important championship in the wrestling industry. The XHF X-Crown. After so many victories in his career, he will wrestle the toughest match he has ever been involved. There is no need to talk about his career as we all know the "Cristiano Ronaldo of Wrestling". RTP - National Television Channel - has visited Zézé Taborda Wrestling School and managed to get some words out of The Portuguese Dream, Zézé Taborda, about his preparation coming into this match.
The image transitions into the beautiful, blue-eyed, Susana Victorino. Susana holds the microphone and is right in front of the Zézé Taborda Wrestling School.
Susana Victorino: Good aftenoon, José. I'm in front of Zézé Taborda Wrestling, where the true legends are born. We will show the portuguese all about the wrestling school and talk to Our Living Legend in-person! Without further ado. Let's get in!
The big automatic doors behind Susana Victorino slowly open as she passes through. Zézé Taborda appears and he seems quite friendly. He is without shirt and with his beautiful wrestling tights and holds a water bottle on his hand (probably filled with wodka). Zézé isquite sweaty, like he has just wrestled.
Zézé Taborda: Hello there, beautiful face! Thank you god! For giving me eyes to see beautiful woman like this one.
Zézé Taborda puts an arm over the reception balcony and does his Macho Latino look.
Zézé Taborda: How can I assist you?
Zézé takes a sip of his "water" and rubs his perfect abs. A blushed interviewer answers.
Susana Victorino: It's a great honour to be here and speak to you in-person! I'm Susana Victorino from Portugal News and we would like to get to know more about your Wrestling School and your preparations for the XHF Rumble Match.
Zézé Taborda: What are you waiting for?! Come on in! I will show you the greatness myself.
Taborda puts a arm over Susana and leads her down the hall. As both are walking the first question emerges.
Susana Victorino: When has this project started and what's the goal behind it?
Zézé Taborda: Well, sweetheart. I can't really precise when this wrestling school was founded as I wasn't born yet. As you may know wrestling roots are deep in my family tree. I can tell you that I trained here with my grandfather, Tarzan Taborda, who teached me everything about the basics of the business and how to wrestle. Back then, physicality was way more evolved. As I got more experencied and with my beloved grandfather passing away I took care of this school as my own, we are currently forming the best talents in the industry due to my teachings to our students in and outside the ring. You see that mat over there?
Zézé Taborda and the interviewer Susana are now in the main hall, Susana looks amazed as the wrestling school is somewhat crowded. There are a lot of people that look a lot like Zézé Taborda the majority is wrestling each other in the two wrestling rings in the center. You can see others praticing in the fitness machines on the corner, boxing bags, you name it. Everything a wrestler needes. But as Taborda is explaining the school he points towards a old wrestling mat as he questions Susana.
Susana Victorino: Yes..
Zézé Taborda: I was only 4 years old when I first sent my 110kg grandfather to the ground. I will never forget his words "If you don't get lost and you focus on your goals, you're going to be a legendary wrestler!" Then he slapped me on the face and body slammed me hard.
Susana Victorino: Ouch! Isn't that child violence?
Zézé Taborda: In the current standards. Probably... It made me the man and wrestler that I am today. There are also a lot of wrestlers specially in the "XHF" that should have took a beating or two when they were younger. Disrepectful is what they are and maybe they wouldn't be so ill-bred.
Susana Victorino laughs.
Zézé Taborda: It's true. Come on now. Follow me! Let me guide in the path of the legends. If you can....
Zézé Taborda smiles to the camera as he finishes his sentence and starts jogging away from the interviewer who chases him. The image transitions to the "locker room area". It's a room full of mirrors. Lockers are actually inside this mirrors. There is a guy that looks a lot like Zézé Taborda, putting creams and other products on his beard. Susana Victorino looks amazed for the quality of the facilities given it is a wrestling school, not exactly what one pictures about one.
Zézé Taborda: This is where your practice begins once you want to practice wrestling.
Susana Victorino: Beautiful! I wonder why are there so many mirrors? I mean, everything here is a mirror.
Taborda smiles to the interviewer and takes a sip of his water, before adressing the question.
Zézé Taborda: Glad you asked! Not only beatiful but also smart.
Taborda gives her the Macho Latino look before continuing to speak. She smiles back as she stares the living legend eyes.
Zézé Taborda: Like I said, here is where you practice starts and looking into the mirror is one of the best tools to teach you about yourself. First thing, is your self-esteem. Self-esteem is very important in life and in the wrestling business is a must have. It's not an easy road, god knows how many days I've passed travelling, going from show-to-show in a small van with other not-so-higienic fellows, hearing that you aren't good enough. Sometimes it even feels you're an attraction in the circus. If you don't love yourself you can very easily go down some other roads, alcohol, drugs, you get the picture. Also it helps you when you lose, not that I know much about that, cause Your Living Legend rarely lost in his carrer. But I heard stories of XHF wrestlers. Who start arguments with everybody after losing matches, destroy entire rooms in a rant, want to kill themselves...
Susana Victorino: Kill themselves? - exclamates Susana.
Zézé Taborda: Yes, can you imagine that?! Losing isn't easy but can you imagine how big of a failure you must be in life to want to kill yourself because you lost a match? No self-esteem. And if you don't love yourself how will others like you? Or dislike you? If you have no personality, wrestling isn't for you. If you don't care about yourself how can you push yourself forward, how can you be better?
Susana Victorino: I really have no clue.
Zézé Taborda: Me neither. Back to the topic. The second reason why there are so many mirrors here, is to make sure that you face your biggest enemy. Yourself. From love to hate, it just takes a tiny step. You are the reason of your failure or success. Nobody else. It doesn't matter how many challenges you face, how unlucky you are... You are the one in-control of your life. So you have to overcome yourself, battle against yourself... It's a never ending war that I never won, but I won many battles and still win them every single day. You know what the romans said... "Mens sana in corpore sano".
Susana Victorino: I never thought that you were so strongly minded. Don't get me wrong, but you always look so.... "Colourful".
Zézé Taborda laughs and shakes his head as he continues his speech with a smile.
Zézé Taborda: Thirdly! Your Looks! You know how important that is in modern society. People judge the book based on the cover, so how you look is a powerful weapon, even stronger in the wrestling business where your image sells tickets or needs to sell them, unless your Living Legend is on the card it doesn't matter who he faces, is an immediate sell-out. There is no doubt I'm the better looking individual within the wrestling business. You see Jójó Taborda over there taking care of his beard as we speak? He has been there for the past two hours. He wants a beard like mine. *whispers* He will never have a beard like mine.
Susana giggles.
Zézé Taborda: In the wrestling business you need to distinguish yourself. I distinguish myself with my beautiful "sometimes annoying" perfection. Most of the wrestlers in this Rumble know nothing about looks... Take Jeffrey Viper for an example... Ewww! Him and this so-called "wrestlers" in the XHF make any mirror want to be just a glass.
Susana Victorino: Can I write that one down?!
Zezé Taborda is full of himself...
Zézé Taborda: Sure thing baby. Let me show you something more private... Come!
Susana looks confused about what Zézé just said but follows him. They walk past thetraining wrestlers and while they're at it almost all of the wrestlers stare Susana's body. Zézé shouts at them at the ringside like a real coach.
The image transitions to a disco. A bar with a beautiful waitress. Excellent sound system, big beds in shape of hearts, private rooms. Susana is really confused by now.
Zézé Taborda: Justina bring a Sex on the Beach for the beautiful Susana!
Justina: Sure thing my Living Legend!
Susana Victorino: I don't drink at work!
Zézé Taborda: *laughs* It is non-alcoholic. Not a single drop of alcohol touches this perfect mouth darling. I'm an athlete. A real athlete.
Susana Victorino: I'm impressed that you have a private disco inside your wrestling school. But what does this have to do with teaching?
Zézé Taborda: Nothing! I just wanted to showcase this section I recently built, equipped with the best drinks in the world, the best sound system you can ever imagine, big loving beds, private rooms, showers and hopefully there will be a lot of beautiful women here.
Susana is really confused at this point.
Zézé Taborda: You see Susana, I learned that wrestling is also a politics business. This is where I will spend my victory cache at the XHF Rumble. In the biggest party you can ever imagine. A party that only your Living Legend and Portuguese Dream can throw. So I sent an invitation to Mongo and all XHF administrators, alongside pictures of beautiful models. And I can assure you, If wrestlers in the rumble knew about this party they would even throw themselves out of the ring just to attend it. But it's exclusive for the XHF big figures. Politics, baby, politics...
Susana nods as she drinks her non-alcoholic Sex On the Beach. Zézé Taborda grabs her by the arm.
Zézé Taborda: But there is something even more private I want to show you. Come!
He gives her the Macho Latino look and she responds once again with a seductive smile. And no, there wasn't anything on the drink.
(... To be continued...)
Part 1 of a big roleplay. I decided to cut it into parts as I want to cover a lot of things in this RP. I will post the rest tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.
